Our fireplace is wood-burning/propane. We can't use wood due to allergies and found out that the propane was not properly run so that left us with an unusable fireplace due to its small and odd shape. We found this insert and purchased it hoping that our measurement were correct. It fits well, is lovely to look at, and does a very good heating the room. Very happy with our purchase.

After going through the specs, I felt that this insert would work with my new Equinox 18MM3207-M250 stand that I got at a great price. I received it quickly and it went right in with no problems at all and works like a champ. I can hear a slight buzz without the heat being on and it gets a bit louder with the heat. But overall I am very happy with this choice and glad that I got it. I hope it will give us many years of service. It certainly makes an already great piece of furniture even better.

I bought this fireplace insert for a remodel job in our basement. After reading the reviews we decided to go with this model, and so far I'm really impressed with it. I still need to build the fireplace/mantel, and after that's done this unit should just slide right it. I took it out of the box, sat it on the counter, plugged it in, and in about 5 seconds we had instant flame and heat. The flames/embers look realistic for an electric fireplace, and this unit appears to be as realistic as another unit we bought a few years ago for about 6 times the price. For the money, this appears to be an excellent unit.

Have used many instant starting firelogs, some store brands and other name brands. Pine Mountain is without question the longest burning, brightest log available. Starts as easy as others, but truly burns a full 3 hours. Far superior to Duraflame and others. We use it with other firewood and it not only lights then, but oulasts our real wood. We burn four wood logs before using up one Pine Mountain log. Even made in a longer burning 6 lb. log.

These products are so much easier than wood it's nuts.

I just finished a case of these. They are very similar to another popular firelog, Duraflame. All are far better for the environment than the first versions of years ago. However, The 5# burns higher and brighter than I really want...it creates what feels like a _Violent_ fire.

The packaging is very easy to light, red arrows point to the exact 2 spots to light. That's it. I have no idea what the other reviewer meant...maybe they removed the packaging? Don't open or tear just follow instructions, it lights steadily and completely.

We prefer the smaller size log. My Sweetheart often brings one along with a bottle of wine and a movie when he comes for dinner. Both burn about the same time long enough to relax to visit, and also enjoy a movie. But the 5# log burns so much more brightly, it is a bit disturbing. May be better to burn a smaller one unless you get a great deal, or have a massive firebox.

Also Don't stack em. Burn just one at a time.

Consider the multi-colored version for special occaisions.

Hubby has allergies and didn't want me burning wood in our fireplace. I really wanted a fire for those cold evenings. This was the perfect compromise. It looks pretty real, the gel crackles like a real fire, and it creates a little warmth. I wish it put off a bit more heat, but I'm happy with it. If used a lot, the gel is kind of expensive though.

I first tried the Golden Crown hernia support but it used straps and buckles and would not stay in place. This product fits very well and tight so it holds the hernia in place. The waist band is adjustable as are the straps that go around the legs. It stays in place throughout the day. I recommend this product highly.

Circulates the air. Definitely helps distribute the heat. Prepare to take some initiative during installation, it's not rocket science but ours came with no instructions at all, so be prepared to wing it. My only complaint is that the unit I got had obviously been a return resell because it had clearly been installed on something at least once before. It works fine, but the company ought to alert consumers that the unit they are getting may NOT be "brand new". Other than that, it's a good product and worth the investment.

Stumbled across this not knowing the correct blower for my stove. Other reviews were the clincher for me buying so wanted to add one!. As the other reviews have indicated, it is all that! Easy fit, quiet, economical moves a good amount of air. would have been 5 star if the speed control was remote, or at the plug. Mounts low and rear with my stove in a corner the control is hard to access.

This isn't the greatest log loop, but it does the job. I have completely loaded it several times with heavy oak and it hasn't bent, broken, or came loose. It has a matte black finish, is made of tubular steel. The loop part is made of 3 separate arcs that are bolted together to form the circles. The screw holes coincide with where the two loops touch at the top and connect with the legs at the bottom, so there are minimal screw holes. What with the narrow tubing and screws it isn't as nice as a welded unit, but it had free shipping, came in a box, and had a great price.

Bottom line -it is a good price, sturdy and function, but not the most attractive. All things considered and knowing what I now know I would still buy it.

I spent over two hours trying to assemble this rack but eventually gave up in frustration. The assembly instructions were as clear as mud. An engineer friend looked at it and had it assembled in 10 minutes without even looking at the instructions. It turns out that there is a very critical step not mentioned in the instructions. Believe it or not, there is a right way and wrong way to connect the 2 hoops. The hoops are formed from 3 pieces and so there are 3 screw holes and 3 joints in each finished hoop. When joining the two hoops together YOU MUST ALIGN THE 2 SCREW HOLES AND THE 2 JOINTS. I had aligned the screw holes to join the hoops but had not aligned the joints, so nothing lined up after that and construction was impossible. Now that it has been constructed it functions very well and is very strong. I gave the product 5 stars to redress the imbalance caused by people who dissed the product because of their frustration with the assembly instructions. This is a product review not an assembly instructions review.The product is good and should not be downgraded because the assembly instructions are a challenge to some of us. I can't for the life of me understand why the naysayers who threw the thing in the trash spent their time venting their spleen on an Amazon review when all they had to do was email Panacea products and ask for help which is what I was going to do before my engineer friend solved the problem. The manufacturer and Amazon should take steps to ensure that proper assembly instructions are provided for this product.

I decided to get a firepit and make use of their wood, so I needed a place to store it all. It was a bit of a pain to put together because the hoops did not line up right, so my husband had to help me. All in all, the price was reasonable and it does the job, so I would recommend it.

While the product in the photograph has a simple and attractive base, the product as delivered has a completely different design for the base piece. As other reviewers have mentioned, the product is basically impossible to assemble without either a drill to make your own holes or the strength of a giant to bend the existing bars to fit. It seems I will have to follow the lead of another reviewer who simply left the final screw out. I would never have imagined it was necessary to read the reviews before purchasing such a simple product.

Not a big deal to me, what annoyed me is that the 2 U shaped legs were missing all of the predrilled holes to assemble the product. I think im going to drill them myself to avoid the hassel of returning and exchanging the product. As far as assembly goes its really not hard at all. I dont know what these other reviewers exepect but there are 10 parts and its a very simple design so im not sure why people are having so much trouble putting it together.

My old spark cap on top of the chimney rusted away, and I had a serious problem with starlings nesting in my chimney for quite a while before I finally found this.

Stainless means buying it just once and never worrying about it again. Can't find any fault with that! The fit was very loose, and I couldn't find a size that was closer, but replacing the included screws with longer stainless ones got the job done, no problems.

I cannot comment on the product because I never had a chance to install the fireplace. The first delivery was returned as undeliverable by UPS without my ever seeing it. I thought it must have been damaged in the truck after it arrived locally. A replacement was sent. This time the fireplace was delivered but I wouldn't even describe it as being packed in a box. Pieces of cardboard had been taped around the fireplace in a hodge-podge fashion. There was nothing protecting the bottom of the fireplace. A cardboard top had been taped on top of the fireplace, but the cardboard on the sides had been torn and the fireplace, of course, was dented and scraped. I figured if this was how the first fireplace was packaged, no wonder it had arrived in an undeliverable condition--no padding or protection at all. UPS picked it up the next day, and Amazon.com sent a third fireplace. Never got to see this replacement either. It arrived locally and once again was sent back by UPS to an Amazon warehouse as undeliverable. Of course, my money was returned. I sent messages via feedback and talked to a customer service representative to try and inform Amazon that the packing and packaging of this item needed to be investigated. Whether it is the fault of the vendor or the fault of Amazon warehousing, something needs to be changed. I will not reorder from Amazon because I feel quite sure a fourth fireplace would only arrive in the same condition, and I hate to cost the company so much money for transportation. This is quite unusual for Amazon in my experience. I've gone to Northern Tools to find an equivalent replacement.

this fireplace has the most viewing area of any 42" box, the brick pattern looks great and there are vents on sides to distribute heat. there are ones very simliar , but they are a lot more expensive.

I drilled a small hole in my vent stack by the wall and squeeze in (about 5). Similar to using tomato dust. Built a small fire and it gets carried up chimney. Really helps with creosote, including glazed. Not a quick fix, may take a couple months

I have used many creoste cleaners and this is by far the best. My clean out door actually has chunks of creoste loose on the bottom. Easy to use.
