We like this product because it is just the right texture to cling to the kindling. A very small amount does the job. I give it 4 stars because the container clogs very easily. That can be a bit frustrating when you are tired and want to go to bed or are up at the crack of dawn and just want to warm the house. If the people at your house all remember to close the container carefully that won't be a problem for you.

The fireplace arrived damaged. The hinge for the glass was broken. I opened trouble tickets with the manufacturer. They told me that the hinge was not a replaceable item and closed my ticket. Not wanting to go through the return shipping nightmare I kept opening tickets and then they would close them. After the 3rd try my official statement was, I do not want to keep an item that the manufacturer will not stand behind. I will ship this back over a stupid hinge. Please escalate this. Within 2 days a lady, from within the US, called me and told me that she was shipping a hinge. What a nightmare!!!!!
Overall it is a little better than OK. The issue with electric fireplaces is that they do not give off the bright glow that lights a room. If you sat in front of this fireplace and I asked you "Do you like it?" Your response would be "Eh....its Ok, I guess". If I had it all to do over again I would have installed a vented gas insert. I am 100% sure of that. The vents are easy to install these days and I prob would have around the same money.

Before purchasing for self installation make sure that there is an electrical outlet (plug) in the space below the firebox. If there is, use a lamp to test whether it is connected or not (only one outlet will have power). I chose this particular version of the FBK-250 (fireplace is a Lennox LMDV-4035-CNM) because of the rheostat (speed control) and the temperature sensor. On all the other models that I saw the speed control was either a wall mount kit (light dimmer switch style) or a small plastic box designed to be mounted in the space under the fireplace. This model has the much easier to install (no work at all) magnetic temp sensor and the speed control box is metal not plastic (also designed to be mounted in the space below the fireplace). The instructions are written for a contractor so they can seem a bit vague, but if you read the instructions and look at the place where you will be installing the blower it will all make sense. The install was very easy. The only "issue" was mounting the speed control box. The instructions show several fireplace models, but none matched mine exactly. The instructions indicated that there were pre-drilled holes that were to be used for securing the box. My fireplace does not have them and I had no desire to drill into the bottom of the firebox. I used velcro to mount the box upside-down on the floor of the space below the firebox. The fan works well. It doesn't push a great deal of air, but it does warm up a room in a hurry. The unit comes on a few minutes after the fireplace starts and runs for a few minutes after the fireplace is turned off. I hope this helps with your decision.

Found this listed in the manual for our gas fireplace and my wife (who is constantly cold in the fall/winter) really wanted it. Shipped quickly, and the instructions on youtube were very helpful when installing it. The only issue I ran into was that I had to dismantle the thin door at the bottom of our fireplace because the blower was too large to fit through. Once I removed the door completely though using Alan wrenches it slid in just fine. Got it positioned, secured it to the back wall and floor and powered it up works great! I'd say it makes the fireplace 3x-4x more effective because it circulates the hot air throughout the room. Product works just fine. Description doesn't say instructions are for contractors only. Terms and vocabulary are for professional contractors. I had to disassemble my whole gas fireplace piece by piece because the fan was too big to fit in the front opening. Scrapes cuts and all it works fine but that's something I'll never do again. Let me explain a bit here about how I will review this because I just received it today.
My family is hard on fireplace bellows. We use them daily during the heating season. I have gotten to where I can predict how long a bellows will last and unfortunately this year they have not lasted as long as I had predicted they would. That does NOT appear to be the case with this one. I have used bellows to light our fires since the mid 1980's. A good long lasting bellows is hard to find locally.
I also would like to say that this IS NOT MY FAVORITE TYPE of bellows. My favorite is the hand crank type. The good quality hand crank ones cannot be found even on the net because they have been replaced by very cheap imports that do well to last me a month. Before the hand crank type I did use this type of bellows that I am now reviewing. I have had bad luck with this kind too. Some companies only build them for their looks and those kind's don't last me long either.
So now I hope you understand why I felt I must review this today the first day I received it. It's because I think I can do it and be accurate too. If it does not meet my expectations I will immediately come back to this review where I will edit it, add an update, and downgrade it. If it exceeds my expectations I will happily report that in a later up date.

I intend to extend the life of this by using any leather product that helps it be more flexible. Another problem I have had with this type is with the tips where the air shoots put. All of them in the past have used a very thin metal or even plastic. When using a bellows I like to be able to brace them against the stove door. This makes the air shoot straight on to my target. When it's not braced the action of pumping sends my jet of air all over the place. I am happy to report that the metal tip of this bellows was far thicker and far better quality than I was expecting.
One more thing that I was impressed with that others may find extremely silly is the leather string that runs between the handles. This one was better than I expected. This part has a important function that most folks don't realize. When installed correctly between the handles it prevents the user from extending the bellows too far open. If you repeatedly open them up father than they should you reduce the life of the whole unit because it stresses the leather. Most folks think it is used to hang the unit up when you are done with it.
I was also impressed by it's price. It was not the lowest priced on Amazon but it certainly is not the highest. Other websites charge in the $100 range for these. I even once saw a $200 one. Let me warn you folks. With this type of bellows high price does not mean high quality. I think many people must buy these for looks alone and not to use. I paid less than $20 for this but I will bet it will outlast a $200 one.
I apologize for this long review. I'm just happy that I have found a bellows that is far better quality than I expected and to be quite honest I have not owned I good quality bellows of this type for many years.
One last thing. It's heavier than I expected but in that case it's good because the heaviness is from better construction. This unit should last me a long time.

It does not take very long to get the fire started back up from embers, only about 5 blows which is the same as the one I had to replace. It fits well mounted on the wall with the string attached. It is a very good size of 15 inches, which isnt too big and bulky, not is it too small to be efficient. This was also the cheapest on amazon prime, and for the price, it was probably the best buy. The only difference between this one and a more expensive one would be aesthetics.

It just looks awkward, but it will not be on display at the fireplace. It arrived dusty. The first few blows from it sprayed out some sort of dust which was not expected.

The Pleasant Hearth Bellow Hardwood Fireplace, 15-Inch works well for our wood stove. We have used it to get a new fire going, and we have used it to fire up a somewhat lagging fire, to build up the heat, and/or getting added wood to burn. It has solid construction and the tip is solid enough that there is not danger of heat damage. For people with large hands it might take a little focus not to pinch their fingers. This was the nicest looking T.V. stand on amazon within our price range. It looks very classy. It took my husband maybe 2 or so hours to put it together in between doing other tasks around the house. The most difficult thing about this T.V. stand isn't putting it together it's getting the T.V. to mount on it. You definitely need another person to hold the T.V. while the other directs where it will be mounted. Once the T.V. is mounted it will lean forward and you will have to adjust it to where you want it and screw it into place. That was the most aggravating thing for my husband I think lol or atleast for me. But in all, this is a nicely looking T.V. stand and I love the wood color. It is a rich brown. It just looks really nice. I am happy I purchased this item.

You really get what you pay for. The 'wood' is all very thin and doesnt seem durable, I have yet to mount my 55" LED, but I am doubting it will be able to hold it. There are also small sections that are a completly different color then the rest of the unit. I also wish the dimensions were listed, this thing is very small, like it belongs it a childrens playhouse. Directions are laughable. I needed a small grate for my very small wood stove and this was the smallest that I could find. I found it to be almost perfectly what I wanted surprisingly so. It is much sturdier than I expected so I anticipate it's lasting as long as I do. I needed a way to keep logs from too easily coming out of the stove when refueling it and it does that as well or better than I could have expected. The only thing about the grate that posed a slight problem was its height. While being quite functional as it was, the height limited the firebox more than I wanted. An angle grinder with a cutoff wheel made short work of shortening the legs and now it's perfect!Heavy Duty and shipped quickly. I probably should have ordered on a little longer, but the depth is perfect for my small fireplace, but this product is just as specified.
