This Mantel is beautiful and was easy to install onto my brick fireplace (anchored into the mortar). It did, however, arrive with a warped mounting board.

The steamer is oval. From the picture, I thought this was going to be round and ordered it along with a round trivet (both ordered directly from amazon, not 3rd party seller so it wasn't someone else's listing mistake).

I ordered one of these steamers, and when it arrived the enamel on the lid was chipped in five places, the base had three enamel chips. I exchanged it and the second steamer arrived with two enamel chips on the lid and a chip on the base. When I lifted the base out of the packaging box, the base cut my right thumb on the chipped enamel edge. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON THIS ITEM. MOVE ON TO THE NEXT STEAMER!!!

I recieved the steamer quite quickly but the lid was damaged, i was sent a replacement and would you believe it NO ONE had checked to make sure it was okay, this ones lid was chipped in numerous places, the dish was chipped inside too and when i took it out of the box it hadn't even been glazed on the outside!!

WHERE IS THE THEIR QUALITY CONTROLLER

They obviously don't have one.

This is perfect. I was tired of replacing the mat in front of the wood stove every year. They were all cheap mats that weren't really fire resistant and they would fall apart or curl up on the edges. This rug has already protected our floor and it is definitely fire resistant. It's heavy and so thick and plush that it almost feels like an anti-fatigue floor mat. It is truly beautiful and extremely well made. Worth every penny.

This is a really nice, thick hearth rug, however it is much smaller than described. Unfortunately I ended up returning it the day received, it's just not large enough for the fireplace, only half the size of our current hearth rug.

This is a nice thick rug that saved our carpet several times this past winter. We've placed it in front of our wood-burning stove's platform and it works nicely to catch those stray embers when we are putting in more wood. The color is basic enough that it would match just about everything, while being just dark enough so that it doesn't easily show dirt or marks.

We purchased this to use in our screen porch as we didn't know if a propane based firepit would be safe. The Gel based fire bowl works great and as promised. The delivery only took a couple of days and the setup took about 5 min. We tested our new firebowl tonight and it was very simple to operate. We poured the gel into the two compartments and lit each side using a bic scripto lighter and the gel lit up instantly and created a very nice flame and crackle. We used one 29 oz bottle total split between the two sides and got approx 2 hours of burn. The firebowl looks great and works very well. The flames are not huge or create much for heat, but definitely create a nice "ambiance" fire for sitting around with friends or family. We would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing, no hassle fire in an area that doesn't allow for a wood or propane based fire.

I have a smaller patio where propane and wood burning not allowed, this fire bowl fit perfectly. When the bowl was filled with gel and lit, it threw off some heat but this fire bowl is meant for ambiance. This made the fall weather much more enjoyable! Just remember to measure the gel fuel according to how long you want the fire to burn. If you have to put it out early, the remaining gel is useless and won't re-light. The gel fuel bottles last a long time, we've used it several times and have barely gone through two bottles.

We've been wanting a fire pit for some time now but were hesitant due to the possibility of sparks from a wood fire. This fire bowl is a great substitute. It sets up very easily (just three screws) and looks really nice. The fire it produces crackles just like a wood fire and produces a little heat (although that was not our reason for purchasing it). It makes for a nice gathering spot. It is also very nice that it comes with a cover which fits perfectly. Only negatives: there were no instructions in the box; screws were too short and had to be replaced with our own; even though it's Amazon Prime eligible, it took a week to arrive (the fine print says it may take 1-2 extra days, but it was more like 5). The "grey" color is really more of a tan, but it looks like stone and that wasn't a deal breaker.

My old black iron fireplace grates had a bad habit of melting. They would get cherry red in the center and droop down to the floor of the fireplace. I remembered as a child, that my folks had a cast iron pot-bellied stove in the basement and while it would get cherry red during those long ago Minnesota winters, it never melted.I'm in Louisiana now , but we get some cold weather and so far, this grate has been perfect. I expect many more years of service out of it. At 70 years of age, I consider this a life-time grate!

I found this item with free shipping to a local store in my area. The price was a bit higher however they had a coupon that brought the price down to the same as the Amazon price & I saved the $11.65 shipping. Of course I opted to save the shipping charge, it was a no brainer. When in doubt check it out. This grate is very well made & makes a fire in a small fireplace much more efficient than the cheap one that comes with the original fireplace. This is my second Vestal J-18 grate & I have been using this fireplace for over 21 years total, they are a quality product. Vestal also makes different models of this grate that will work for larger fireplace or wood/coal heaters. all you need to do is make measurements of your firebox & get the one that best meets your needs.

After buying a 100 year old house and peeling layers of wallpaper off the kitchen, I discovered a giant hole in the wall. Turned out, that hole was where an old stove pipe used to be hooked up to the chimney. Since I didn't want to have a giant hole in my wall, I went in search of a cover. Luckily I found this pretty quickly. Since part of my kitchen walls are already black, this goes really well. The product picture doesn't give you a good idea of what it looks like so I will try to upload a picture of my own. It basically looks like a plate type thing hanging on the wall. I don't even notice it anymore. I only gave it 4 stars because I wish it would seal the hole a little better. As it is, the cover won't come off the wall on it's own but it took a few tries to get it to stay, and I feel it's not tight enough to keep anything (spiders) from crawling out of the chimney and into my kitchen. I'm sure there is something I could buy to seal it completely, I'll just have to look into it.

I had to remove the woodstove from my 1980s house before putting it up for sale. Oregon legislators, in their wisdom, made Oregon the only state to require DEQ certified (1988 and later) woodstoves when a house changes ownership. I removed the stove and covered the 8" flue opening with this plate. The friction/spring holder fitting worked fine for the wall opening, I'm not sure how it would work on a ceiling as the plate is a nice heavy weight could drop out. The holding mechanism is a straight strip of metal rivited twice through the middle of the front. You bend those two ends out but just enough to slip them into the flue hole you are covering. Then let go of the ends and push it the rest of the way in. The friction of the metal ends against the sides of the flue hold it in. Like I said, worked find on a wall opening which is what I needed. I imagine it could be better designed and have some type of sealing gasket around the edge so air can't infiltrate, that would make it 5 stars.

Pretty at first sight, but the brass coating is thin and chips easily. Not good for the rough use that fireplace tools should be able to handle. Mine was missing one of the handle ends due to damage in shipping. Invest in a solid brass set instead.

Here is our assessment of the CobraCo Vintage Copper Fire Tub along with assembly steps. The kit comes with the stand, fire tub, a spark guard, a tool to lift the spark guard when hot, and a vinyl cover. It's a wonderful addition to our patio. The copper is beautiful. The design on the copper adds a nice flare to it. The only downside is the stand. Some of the metal components seem to be weak and prone to rust. But only time will tell. And the stand could have been more ornate to match the tub design. In the grand scheme these observations are being picky. Overall, we give it 4 and a half stars. We look forward to spending many nights enjoying this fire tub.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program The CobraCo Vintage Copper Fire Pit is good looking. From the detailed design work on the outer brim and the hand hammered look to the remainder of the copper pit itself, all the way down to the simple sturdy design and appearance of the legs. Top this off with a well fitted and tightly woven spark shield and it just looks good. Due to the fact that the pit sits around unutilized far more frequently than it actually contains fire, looks have to account for at least 70 percent of the value, and this pit scores tens across the board in this department.

I don't know how I missed it, but I was surprised to find that the pit comes with an all weather cover. While I like the way it looks and, therefore, will not cover it often, it is nice to have for bad weather situations.

As far as its fire holding potential, the pit once again maintains pretty high marks. With a removable grate and ventilation holes at the bottom of the pit, to keep the wood elevated and the fire breathing, and a domed spark shield atop the pit, complete with handheld hooked tool to apply and remove the spark shield, the pit can sustain a relatively warm and safe fire. There can be no doubt, however, that this pit does not possess the depth necessary to really get a campfire-style blaze brewing. No, this pit is definitely designed for an ambiance fire, and, combined with its overall pleasing appearance, achieves this end well.

Assembly was a snap. It might have taken all of five minutes to complete. Unfortunately, two of the necessary screws did come pre-stripped; a little frustrating but easily overcome with a pair of pliers.

One thing that I would change about the design is the lack of an ash catcher below the ventilation holes. While I currently have mine set up on a concrete surface, I would not mind the ability to occasionally set it up on other surfaces. With an ash catcher below the ventilation holes I might feel more comfortable setting the pit up on surfaces other than slab and sand. As it is now, the holes weep ash onto the ground, creating a bit of a mess and making a variety of surfaces a little less safe to explore.

Overall, it is a good looking pit. If the goal is that of creating a small fire for pleasant ambiance, this pit is definitely well suited for the job.

The fire pit is exactly as described and lovely. We looked around for quite awhile before deciding on this one, liking the 100% copper, and classic, elegant design as well as its depth. It has several very small holes in the bottom. Because we wanted to follow the suggestion to fill the bottom with a sand base, we needed to be sure the sand didn't pour out of the holes. Simple fix was to rummage in the garage for some small bolts and washers to place in the holes. Worked great. The heat of the fire does cause some minor color change to the bottom, but it doesn't matter since the sand covers that anyway. The only thing we didn't like was the quality of the vinyl cover, which rotted out very quickly with sun exposure. No big deal to put something else over it if rain protection is desired, or put it in the garage as it is not too heavy for one person to carry. Despite the vinyl cover issues, this is really a good quality fire pit.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is my first fire tub, so I can't speak for its cost worth in comparison to the many lower priced fire pits offered on Amazon. This one seems to be at the higher end of the price spectrum, which I would mostly attribute to the copper (which is on the expensive side at the moment) tub.

The fire pit consists of a stand, the copper tub and a metal spark guard. There is also a grate, a poker and a vinyl cover. The tub stand comes in 6 pieces, the four legs and two circular pieces. The tub stand was easily assembled in my living room with 12 screws and the provided, ever present allen wrench. The handle for the spark guard is also assembled using one screw and the allen wrench.

The tub is sturdy, but is not so heavy that I can't move it, at least when it's empty. There is no insulation on the tub, so the entire apparatus gets very hot when it is in use. The poker is multi-use and is designed to lift the grate but can also be used to move the wood around inside the tub. The poker does not help with adding wood to the fire; this must be done by hand. The fire pit is not so large, however, that this is a problem.

So far I am very happy with this fire pit. It seems sturdy and works well; it is also beautiful. Time will tell how it holds up to use and the elements.
