This Mantel is beautiful and was easy to install onto my brick fireplace (anchored into the mortar). It did, however, arrive with a warped mounting board.

I contacted the manufacturer in TN (found their number via their website .) They sent me a replacement within a business week. Glad to see a company stand by their product. Quality product overall.

I recently purchased this TV stand, the quality and look of the piece was excellent, the problem I had was with the fact that it only comes with one center shelf. this may not seem like a big deal at first and didn't to me, except most components, meaning, dvd player, dish box, surround sound, etc. are all of a thin design. I inquired about purchasing an additional shelf, but was denied this oppurtunity. So basically the stand is nice but falls short of being able to use the space provided effiencently. If I had noticed the fact that even in their sales picture they show the components from the 80's I probably would have passed on the sale. Components these days are to thin to put on the bottom shelf and still be remote accesible.

Well, Amazon said that there was a pin on each candle holder. Not the case. Also, they mentioned that it is crafted in Europe......it is made in India. I was a little dissappointed with the misleading information. Now, I have to worry about a fire hazard, if my cats were to knock over one of the candles since you can't secure them down with a pin in the center. On the bright side, it is a lovely looking piece and seems well made.

This item is quite lovely and it turned out to be perfect for our needs. Unlike other reviewers, we were actually extremely happy to find that there where no pins on the candelabra because we planned to use the battery-operated "flicker candles" with it (no fire hazard). Although, we do agree that the picture should accurately represent what the customer is buying we almost didn't buy this because of the pins.

The Candelabra came with out any damage. Nothing bent or ding or a scratch.

It fit perfect in our fireplace.

Just added battery-operated 1&3/4 inch candles, which I placed into glass votive candle holders.

Added a lot of charm to our room!

When I was a boy in the 1950's, my parents bought a toast tite which my sister and I loved. My mother gave it to me when I moved out on my own. When I had a son and daughter, they enjoyed making "flying saucer" sandwiches as they grew up and, after they graduated college and left the area to work, a must on their visits home was to make "flying saucer" sandwiches. I was perplexed as to how my one toast tite should be handed down to them. Then I saw an article in my local paper and my problem was solved. I bought one for each on amazon.com and they were thrilled. Now they don't have to wait until I pass away and fight over my one toast tite.

I wanted to let everyone know that I use the old toastite units a lot. I have purchased over a dozen of the new version and they are GREAT!! I am using the new and old and you can not tell the difference in the way that they work. In reference to the person that reviewed with a 1...a lot of the old ones are aluminum. They seem like solid steel but they are not. They had some that were made of thin steel but the aluminum ones are better. I would buy this new product many times. Thank you Toas-Tite LLC for starting them back into production!!!!

Duraflame Firestart 24-Pack Firelighters Review

Let me just start saying I am usually very skeptical of buying anything without reading a solid review history in favor of a product so for me to buy this product was a bit out of my comfort zone. I just moved into a new home with a fireplace and was struggling to get one going with my fresh delivery of wood today.

I hopped over to the local Home Depot to see what alternatives they had for just starting fires with very little trouble. I am familiar with the duraflame brand from just general knowledge but no firsthand experience so I was not sure what I was getting myself into so I looked up the product here (which is pretty standard procedure for me) but was astounded to only see one review for this product.

Being in a pinch and with limited options in front of me at the time I figured what the heck. This pack of 24 was only $10 at my local HD (I have no idea why it is so expensive here so I would encourage you to look around first) so I figured I'd try it out. It far exceeded any expectations I ever had of it. Simple, easy to use, I lit the little brick and the thing just took off and I have a raging fire in the amount of time it took me to stuff newspaper into my fire.

I now type this review after sitting by the fire the last 4 hours watching movies. I would highly recommend this to anyone, just not at the current $17 price here. Again, look around. For $10 at HD I'll have a few boxes of these on hand every year from now on.

I was very excited to see that I could order this excellent product on Amazon. I should have known-I order trash bags & refrigerator filters, among other things!

These "fire starters" are the BEST in the business ! They used to be available at several store in our area. For some reason they have stopped carrying them. The good news was, that these are twice the amount for less then twice the price and as an Amazon Prime member, I get to have FREE SHIPPING on these. So glad it all happened this way ! ALWAYS easier to start a fire in the fireplace/wood stove using these. Nothing else we have ever tried works as well as these.

This is the best fire starter available. I have tried every other type and this is the only one that has the heat and the burn time needed to start even the most stubborn firewood. Don't waste your time on any other. At 75 cents each at amazon (with prime), it still isn't too bad a price for the trouble it saves. It could be purchased in stores for a bit cheaper. I think Target may carry it. Why more stores don't carry it is baffling. Walmart carries about 5 different types of useless starters, but doesn't carry something worthwhile like this.

I find these are great to start my upside-down fire with but way over-priced here and then w/shipping on top of that. Home Depot (in store) has a box of 24 for $10.98.

I should have done research on MDF fiberboard before I bought this. It is basically wood particles bound together with formaldehyde, and this screen smells like it. I've left it out in the back yard the last couple days, hoping the noxious smell will go away. So far it has only lessened a bit. If by tomorrow I can't leave it in a shut room overnight without the entire room reeking the next morning, this is going back.

Looks nice enough and would have fulfilled my purpose for it (too small to block an average size fireplace, but large enough to hide some plumbing I don't want showing in my finished basement). I'm not willing to get cancer for it though. Formaldehyde is a known carciongen, which is why it amazes me that people tolerate this stuff being put in home products. I bought this to hide a cat litter box! It is both sturdy and decorative. It is made of MDF and quite solid in construction. I am very pleased with the product and the price was reasonable. I think it is great!!

The physical size of this product is nowhere near what is listed and labeled. The size is supposed to be 31 X 44 inches. In fact the maximum dimensions are 27 X 35 inches. As a result it does not fit where we intended. Since we like the pattern, we will probably keep it and make do by creating some sort of frame around it to enlarge it.

Love the design, it is too cute. I use it to conceal my cats litter boxes in our family room. It really hides them and adds to the decor, however, it is poorly made, the hinges for folding are sooo cheap and were all bent and distored due to being too small for the heaviness of the screen and the size of the box it was delivered in! It came in a box twice the size of the screen with only a small little bubble pack inserted over the top of the picket fence. Maybe that is how the hinges got so bent? Do not know, but they are too small to hold the weight of the screen. After a lot of work, my husband was able to repair the damage and it looks great....

This item is very pretty but it is barely long enough to cover my fireplace opening. I have to have it flat against the fireplace . It looks awkward. I don't know why they put these measurements because it is no where close to being that big....

We are pleased with the mantel. Our only comment against it is that we did not realize that we had to assemble it ourselves. We expected it to come in one piece with maybe only the fireplace part separate. It was a challenge, as my husband is 82 and I am 73....but, we managed to get it done. We can't wait for our friends to see it and our new flat screen tv looks great on it.
