Most important, this product gets a fire going very quickly. It's a bonus that it's eco-friendly as well. Based on some brief research it's also cost competitive. I highly recommend it.

Best EcoLog Lighters Fire Starter Chips/Firelighters Small Box - 18 Deals
I used 2 squares in my fire pit under a stack of broken branches/sticks and within minutes had a great fire without having to crumple up any newspaper and deal with the ashes from that process. It is a clean burn, no smell and works great. I will bring these on my next camping trip! I highly recommend.

Reviews of Pilgrim Home and Hearth Pilgrim Napa Forge Colonial Tool Set Black
Looks/feels sturdy and well made. All tools appear to actually be functional as opposed to just ornamental. The tongs especially look more useful than others I've had. "Some assembly required" was sort-of a pain. A little tricky getting the handles on both tight and straight. But do-able.

Heavy duty log holder that fits perfectly next to our fireplace. Accepts a large log and can hold many of them. Extremely well built, no screws, nuts or bolts all welded. Does not fatigue under the weight of the wood. Looks like the local Blacksmith made it, not a mass production process. Perfect finish for most fireplaces.

Nice and sturdy for a small-size set for smaller stoves. Attractive wrought-iron look. Hanger base keeps ash off the floor.
The size is just right for a stove. All the tools you need are in this set. It is compact yet functional. Everything is well made and has lasted years without a hint of a problem. The stand is designed with a lip to capture and hold residual ash from the hanging tools so it doesn't spill onto your floor.
I did need to replace the brush head as I had accidently left it inside my burning stove for about 10 minutes. I was surprised to see that even after that abuse the bristles were only slightly damaged. The Pilgrim company had excellent customer service and sent me a replacement brush head right away.
I highly recommend this product.

I was pleasantly surprised to see the quality of this product and it was easy to assemble in 5 minutes. Works great in my wood stove insert. I just love itHonest reviews on Compact Wood Stove Tool Set in Matte Black Finish
I like the appearance of this set, however, I have found the tools to be on the heavy side and difficult for me to handleFind helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Compact Wood Stove Tool Set in Matte Black Finish
We bought this because normal fireplace tools were much to large for our woodstove. These tools are just the proper size and seem to be well made. My only complaint is that they were made in China which gives me some concerns about their durability. So far they are working spendidly.Friday, May 9, 2014
Review of Nu-Flame Accenda Ethanol Fireplace
looks just like the picture except it was much larger then I thought by looking at the pic. I should have looked at the dimensions however the pic was on a dinning table so I thought I had a good perspective. Not much for heating up a room but that is not what it's for.
As far as the Nu-flame product goes I have no idea how well it works. It is bigger than I expected, which is good I suppose, but who knows how much heat or light it puts out BECAUSE I CANT LIGHT IT WITHOUT A BURNING CUP!

Otherwise this seems fine. Product description needs to be corrected. I like the style and simplicity of this item, but ai need a larger capacity so I don't have to refill it so often.Best Deals for Nu-Flame Accenda Ethanol Fireplace
I ordered a NEW Nu-flame Accenda and they sent me one with dents and scuffs that had clearly been used. They also sent it without all its parts, they seemed to have "lost" the burn cup which rendered the fireplace useless. As far as the Nu-flame product goes I have no idea how well it works. Two days after I received this stove, it started to malfunction. Since I'm not at all interested in burning my house down, the stove has been sitting in a corner since January 18th, while I've been trying in vain to contact the manufacturer. I've tried email, phone calls, their useless customer service portal and even their facebook page. Based on comments on facebook, I am far from the only person who is dealing with faulty products and a complete lack of customer service. The seller did respond to my email immediately and contacted the manufacturer on my behalf, but I still have had no resolution to this problem.
Update 02/20/2012: I want to note that that seller, Electric Fireplaces Direct, took care of my problem by providing a replacement stove that arrived today. I appreciate this, since this was a manufacturer's warranty issue and not a problem with the seller or shipper. I never did receive any contact from the manufacturer and will make a point of not purchasing any products from that company in the future.
Update 03/28/2012: The second stove stopped working. The "flames" work, the heat does not. This stove is in a home office and is only plugged in and turned on for an hour or so in the morning (and not every morning) to take the chill off, so it's not as if it's been used and abused. After the hassle of trying to warranty the first one, I don't know if it's even worth trying to warranty this piece of junk. For anyone wondering about the cost of using this heater to heat a room, my experience is that, excluding electricity, it costs about $120 a month plus a heater to dispose of. I'm not happy.
Wonderful! This is the second DuraFlame that I have purchased, with a third for fireplace insert, on its way. This burgundy one is now sitting in the corner of the kitchen awaiting the chilly winds of WI. The kitchen feels chilly to me and I've always had a portable heater in the corner. This is lovely and I'm sure it will perform as has the one from last year and still going. Came in great time and well packaged. This has been a great company with which to do business.

I purchased this for Christmas and it shipped fast and damage free! It looks nice for a small electric heater although it heats only the size of a average bedroom nice on HIGH non stop. My power bill tripled after running it for a month so now it sits completely shut off. Keep in mind if you purchased this that it's expensive to use for heat.Best Deals for Duraflame DFS-550CRN Freestanding Electric Stove with Remote Control

I chose this heater because it is Duraflame but very disappointed in the quality of the product. It looks great, has remote to turn it on and off, control the flame presentation and does put out good heat. But, it has a very annoying fan whir, much louder than our old stove of another brand. Also, when I turned it on, white light flashes were visible coming out the back of the stove in several places. I am still considering returning it. I could not recommend to friends.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Duraflame DFS-550CRN Freestanding Electric Stove with Remote Control

This is a very well made product that should last a lifetime. Sometimes you can tell quality just by holding it, and this is one of those times. The finish is excellent and welds look very strong. I used the tongs on some large maple logs and it handled them with ease. The stand is so strong that I think it would support my weight on each hook.

We bought this item originally as an inexpensive, alternative heat source in the Winter, when we can lose electricity for hours, even days, when a bad storm rolls through.
It quickly became our main heat source -as unlike the two, 15,000 btu, electric space heaters we'd been using -this can heat a cold room within 30 minutes. And, all by itself, heats the entire house better than those two other heaters running together. And we only once turned it to the third setting. It usually stays on 1.
To clarify, we live in a very small space: 750 square feet in a very old, single-wide, with windows that no longer seal well. The weather here is moderately cold -we drop into the teens rarely, but stay solidly in the mid 20s-early 30s at night in winter. Days stay in the 30s. With the exception of if we have one of those storms, then all bets are off.
We ran this, with a little supplementary electrical heat during the day -I suspect if we'd got the 30,000 btu one, it would have heated the house completely, even on the colder days.
We don't run it at night, as it's in the living room. And because we're a little chicken of running propane when we sleep. But, in the morning, it brings the room quickly back to toasty -never more than 30 mins.
We installed it ourselves -with a bit of help from my uncle. Runs with two 50 lb=10 gal tanks. One tank lasts just about a week in the colder weather, and costs $24 to fill. So it's only a hundred a month -half what our heating bill was last year.
Last year, even with 3, electric, 15,000 btu heaters running, the house was never as toasty warm as it is with this propane heater.
Only note: If you use the tanks, only turn the knob slightly on. We found it eats through propane quicker if turned fully on. But has no apparent ill effect if the tank is only barely turned on.
And?
The blue flames are just lovely. :)
Highly recommended!
My only complaint on this heater is that the built in fan doesn't move any air. I'm not even sure why they put it in there, because it really doesn't do anything. I just bought a separate fan to circulate the air and have been pleased with it.
Puts out lots of heat! I'm very happy with mine.

This has been a good little heater for me so far, I am using to heat a fish house. I'm not sure about the review stating that it need to be professionally installed though, to connect it to a 20 lbs cylinder (BBQ tank) you need buy a separate house with a regulator. It is available through Mr. Heater, part # F273072 (12' Propane Hose/Regulator Assembly), I purchased this at my local hardware store. My only complaint on this heater is that the built in fan doesn't move any air. I recently installed this unit in my two car attached garage. I ran black pipe through the wall and attached it to a 20lb LP tank from my grill until I can get a bigger tank. The unit puts out good heat. It comes on at full so dont think you can adjust the output. But what it does do is bring the room up to temp then cycle off per the thermostat. Has some odor but I think that will disapate as it ages and burns off any newness. Battery operated ignition works very well. The only fault I find is the fan. It appears big enough but does not move a lot of air, design flaw perhaps. What it does do well is cycle on and off on it's own if you put it on the auto setting, good feature. I have not had it long enough to determin the gas usage, have my fingers crossed on that one. Overall I am very pleased as it out performs my electric ceiling mounted heater as well as a 23000 btu kerosene heater.Honest reviews on Mr. Heater 20,000 BTU Propane Blue Flame Vent Free Heater
I have one of these heaters that I bought locally. If you want to connect it to a BBQ type jug you have to buy a hose and regulator. This is no big deal and anyone that has ever turned a wrench can hook this up.Puts out lots of heat! I'm very happy with mine.

We are full-time rver's. Had a Glo Warm 10k propane heater for 14 years in our old 33 1/2' 5th wheel trailer. Worked great. Bought a new 38 1/2' 5th wheel. The old heater just didn't provide enough heat in sub-freezing weather. This Mr Heater 20k is great. Heats the whole place to comfortable very quickly. The fan is adequate (old heater didn't have a fan, so hard to compare). Best product for the priceMr. Heater 20,000 BTU Propane Blue Flame Vent Free Heater #VF20KBLUELPSunday, November 17, 2013

The shipping was accurate and fast. The product is stunning to look at and works well. I have had it for two weeks now and I can't stop using it. In addition, it was very easy for two of us to install. I recommend having a partner and it will take about 30 minutes in all.Perfect focus piece for display wall with multiple niches. Not too big to detract from other elements. Nice to have something entirely different from the mainstream.
