Its got a good finish, some of the wood is just painted to look like solid wood but for what you pay for its a good deal. Looks nice..went together fairly easily but the fireplace insert had a built in gap of about a half inch (you had to choose top or bottom so i chose top so the fireplace would sit on the supports). It wasnt a build issue it was designed that way. Also...despite having a box that was in perfect shape and looked clean...the base piece of wood wrapped in clean wrapping was filled with dirt and was rotten. Real Flame just said to send it back to who I bought it from and didnt offer to send me the piece, I ended up just taking an orbital sander to it and repainting it to avoid the hassle of getting it back in the box since it would have been a pain to get it back in there. Seller ended up sending us the gel fireplace instead of the electric (same mantel etc) so I cant comment on the electric part of it.

I bought these for my husband who barbeque's a lot. He's always complained about getting burned and that normal oven mitts just don't do the job.

He barbequed a "Bud bird" chicken and was very happy with the heat resistance of these glove. Then he lifted the pan off the grill and carried it into the house. About three feet away from the grill, the heat from the pan started to burn through the gloves.

So for a short time span, the gloves are great at resisting the heat, but the heat resistance for a longer period of time is not so great.

We didn't expect him to be able to hold super hot things indefinitely, but we were hoping that he could at least carry a hot pan 20 feet to get into the house.

The gloves are great at keeping the heat off his hands and forearms while grilling though.

These are excellent gloves for both the grill and fireplace. They are long (18"), so they cover the entire forearm, and they are heavy duty (thick leather). Also, they are gloves, not mitts, and that makes a huge difference. Mittens give you no ability to grip or pick up items; gloves give you all the flexibility of, well, gloves!

My husband has used these everyday for both grilling duties and stocking his fireplace.

He is super picky about quality, and these meet his exacting standards.

The two 1-star reviews here are not based on this product, but rather on the manufacturer and the shipper. I hope those customers followed up, got their products, and then review the actual gloves.

These are essentially fancy leather welding gloves. Welding gloves have to protect you from being burned by spatters of molten metal, that cool almost immediately upon landing on a surface at room temperature. Cooking mitts, on the other hand, need to be able to hold a 400 degree object for many seconds without transmitting the heat. They also need to insulate even if they're wet.

I found that this glove, despite being well made and attractive, is no good for holding hot items. At best, it protects hand and arm while grilling, if you're using tongs, lets say, over a very hot fire. Just don't expect to be able to hold a hot pan for more than a couple of seconds before the heat is conveyed directly to your tender skin and you have to put it down immediately or drop it.

I already owned a pair of these gloves purchased about 3 years ago. They were starting to get warn so I decided to replace them. I ordered them and was surprised when they arrived that I couldn't get my hand into them. The old pair fit fine. I measured them and they were 3/8 inch smaller. I contacted the company and they sent me a pre-paid mailer to return them. The gloves they returned to me were a tiny bit larger (maybe 1/16 inch) and I could get them on my hand with a bit of force. I will keep trying to use them and hope they will stretch a bit.

The company was great about trying to solve my problem but there was nothing they could do since the design of the glove had changed. They said they were going to pursue this further with the company that makes the glove. I hope they do because they are great gloves.

So, if your hands are on the small to normal size, these are great gloves.

Be aware of bad electrical connections. Check all wire connections before even testing the blower. However, the blower have worked very well for close to a month now, it is a silent unit and seems to be made of good quality and solid construction. I am editing my first review after I tested for like I said close to a month. In my opinion it is a good product for the price I paid. Buy with confidence.

This product worked as expected, was easy to install, and is reasonably quiet. If you set the fan on high, it is a bit loud, but the high setting isn't necessary having the fan on a lower setting puts out plenty of heat, at least for our needs. Not much to say about how it works no surprises, which is a good thing.

As for the install make sure you have a 120v outlet already in place, preferably wired to a discreet location below the gas fireplace (in the same area where this fan will be installed), and confirm that it has power before doing the install. The fan itself should mount to some points in the back of the fireplace one is a metal tab, which the right-side of the fan slips into, and the other is a metal bolt, which the left side slips over and is then bolted down.

Another thing to note, which confused me at first: the temperature sensor, which automatically turns the fan on and off, is connected to a magnet attach that directly to the bottom of the fireplace box. I mistakenly thought that it would get too hot in that location, but other locations didn't seem to get hot enough to trigger the switch to turn on the fan.

Six years in on a gas fireplace, a friend offers to install a fan if I can find it. Here it is. Reasonably priced, fairly easy to install (checkout the great tutorials on YouTube.). I don't know why I waited so long. This unit cost @$100 less than the one the local fireplace shop offered to special order. Quiet, not overly forceful, does a nice job of circulating warm air in a great room area about 24' x 17'. Takes the edge off the chill and supplements the furnace. Highly recommended.

Installation instructions were the same as what came with my fireplace and left out critical steps/info. Having never owned a gas fireplace before, I was a little confused when I went to install it. I assumed that the blower was supposed to go directly in back of the lower access area, when in fact it was supposed to go on the left-hand side. I have a Napoleon BGD42.

They sent the wrong size washer and wing nut. My fireplace needed 1/4"-20 size, and i believe they sent 1/8" diameter. I called Napoleon to verify the size, and then a quick trip to the hardware store and $2 in hardware later, i was ready to install the blower. Once I realized the correct placement and had the proper hardware, it literally went in in two minutes flat, as I already had an outlet to power it with.

The thermal sensor works as specified. The variable speed controller does not fit as snuggly into the bracket as I would like, but it's not going anywhere.

Overall very satisfied by this.

Purchased this blower as a replacement for my gas fireplace on Sept.30,2012. The blower arrived on Oct.5th, and I installed it with no problem, it worked ok but a little noisier than the one it replaced. I use the fireplace a lot in the winter here in Wyoming and the blower just made it(5 months)before the motor died(my last blower lasted 3 1/2 years). I e-mailed the seller about it, it's been over 3 month without any response of any kind, not even "sorry but to bad". In my world that's not how you treat customers.----"UPDATE" I found the ph.# of the seller (my bad, should have looked closer) and told them about the "life and death" of the blower. They had one shipped(UPS)next day,no coast, no shipping charge. Very good people...(My first attempt of contact was via E-mail thou Amazon but something didn't work, seller didn't get it.)

I purchased the off-white media center. It arrived almost a week early, in perfect shape, not one scratch! Its true--its very easy to put together, looks much nicer than I had expected, the fire does actually look somewhat realistic, it throws out a considerable amount of heat (controlled by thermostat), and I love the remote that came with it. Another bonus is that my speakers fit in the side cabinets so I don't have to look at them AND the louvered doors can be left closed without muffling the speaker sound. The height of the unit is perfect too, I no longer have to prop my tv up on a tray. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that the weight of my 42 inch Vizio made the top of the console sag in the center. Remedied that problem with the "optional" post, but the ad for this product says the console is idea for 50-Inch flat screen TV which I assume would weigh much more than the 42 inch that I have. Overall I am very happy with this purchase.

i was very pleased with this purchase. it was easy to put together, my son had it together in an hour. it is a nice looking piece of furniture and the amount of heat it puts out is surprising. the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is it had a small scratch on the bottom piece but it was easily disguised, because of color i took a black marker and ran it over the scratch and it covered it, believe me i am very picky, and all in all i am very happy.

I did tons of research on electric fireplaces and narrowed down to two. Chose the Antibellum model because of the Tv media portion...other one was fireplace mantle only. Shopped around for pricing and found on Amazon for $200 less than others.

I Love this electric fireplace! I live on Cape Cod in a condo so i chose the antique white. It is perfect. Has some distress marks on wood that adds to its charm. The size is perfect and throws off lots of heat! Adjustable thermostat, flames and wood embers make it easy to create the mood. Remote comes in handy when curled up reading...Cabinets have lots of storage space with an adjustable shelf in each. Media shelf is plenty big. I suggest you use the optional center post to prevent sagging from a larger Tv. I have a 32 inch Tv but other reviews stated issues with larger tvs.

Very easy to put together! Materials are very sturdy and definitely not cheap looking.

My fireplace arrived in two boxes in 2 days and two days EARLY!!! Packaging was good. Some dirt smudges on pieces but nothing that shows. Firebox size is really nice looks like an actual fireplace. Small issue with installation of box...two brackets to hold unit in mantle are at the front of box and unreachable to actually screw it. Comes with a slider bar also so that's what I used.

My only issue is that the heater blows from the half top of the firebox (other half is where the hidden controls are) I would much prefer that it blew from the entire width of the bottom and the blower is a little noisy. Some other models have a fire crackling sound and I wish this one did too.. but other than that it is a wonderful addition and highly recommended !

Love this Fireplace. Only reason it gets 4 stars is mine like another reviewer had marks where the paint is rubbed off. It almost looks like it was rubbed of by Conveyor Automation. It is easily repaired with a Sharpee Magic Marker, now it looks perfect.

The firebox looks excellent. It looks better than the Fireplaces I was looking at Home Depot and the furniture store near me.

The On indicator and Heat on indicator Glow bright beneath the Grill, which I did not like, but that is easily remedied as well. I used Black Hockey tape.

The top shelf area has a post in the middle but it is optional to install, which is great because it gives me more room for my Cable Box and PS3 and Controllers.

I like it, it's nice. Looks just like the picture. Took me 1.5 hours to build it and I am of average dexterity and poor vision. NO real problems there except you should install the little side table BEFORE installing the right side arm rest. Trust me.

It is really very comfortable; i suspect it will hold up for quite a few years.

Selected this chair based on description and discount off list. Looks great, Leather decent, wood quality good!, Problems are the chair is very narrow even for an average size person. Assembly requires a circus dexterity in some instances. Would have picked some thing else in retrospect!

I have been using this for a couple of weeks now...in fact I just got up from a 2 hour nap after my round of golf today. This chair is very comfortable! I use this as an office chair for my home office and bececause it swivels and reclines I can watch TV and nap in it as well. At first I didn't like the feel of the "Bonded Leather"...now that I got used to it and the smell went away its not so bad. All the parts were included and none were missing when I put it together. (it comes in a box and you have to assemble it)...but the directions were good and easy to understand. I won't know about the longevity of this chair but it seems to be fairly sturdy. I am 6'2" tall and 195 lbs and it supports me fine. At first it seemed a little small for me (my last chair was a "Bench Craft")....it was real leather and a little bigger but the same design and it lasted about 3 1/2 years before I put it out to pasture...I suspect this one won't last as long...anyway I do recommend this chair especially for the price I got it for thru Amazon.

Previously purchased several other ones in the beige. This brown/chocolate one would be more suitable in a heavily shaded room maybe a den or a northern exposed office/den/bedroom. In a very sunny due south locale the chair gets very warm. Sort of ify in the long run in regards to it fading. This one has more of a imitation leather feel as opposed to the beige ones, not sure why, possibly a different mix in the bonded leather process. However, it is supremely comfy and very supportive. There are the very expensive stressless ones for sale, however one can save a bundle with these. The small detachable side table is so handy, great for one's remote, drink, snack. One doesn't need to buy a knee banger of a coffee table with one of these. Actually in comparison to a sofa or sectional these are these are the best! Some of us don't like our arms dangling down, w/o arm rests. Also one can recline in different positions and one doesn't feel like your being cut in half when sitting in a run of the mill sofa/sectional/chair. The recliners take a lot pressure of one's midsection and other pressure points. It fits comfortably into ones modern day lifestyle. With two or more you've got theatre seating. One is good to go watching a big screen tv or with a tablet/laptop in hand. Got a fabulous deal from Amazon warehouse deals on the recliner.

I really love these hoods. The company that installed my stone "look" mantle and surround would not guarantee them without a hood. The hood looks great. I ordered one for both sides of my see-thru woodburning fireplace and they really keep the surround cool. The other side of my fireplace has a tv above it and the smoke no longer goes up to it. The only problem I had was trying to find the right wrench, or any tool to get into the small opening to attach the screws. I'll tell you no lie, I was about ready to throw them into the fire. But, once I figured out how to make my adjustable wrench get into the opening it went pretty quickly with the 2nd hood. I wish the company would send a small wrench with each set, nothing big, I have received things before that had a disposable type wrench included. It took me approximately 45 min to install the 1st hood and 30 minutes for the second. But I have to say, SUCCESS looks so good.

I'm telling you that Chimney Saver completely fixed my problem of a leaky brick chimney. I was getting water in my unfinished basement coming from the chimney. It leaked before and after I had the roof replaced and the chimney cap. I applied this stuff and after the first major rainstorm, my basement is dry. I'm extremely happy with this product! This is a great product if your chimney seems to leak and damage your indoor ceiling, which has been our problem for some time. The brick is just too porous. This seems to seal it quite well.

I had my chimney leaking even after, roof been fixed and chimney pipe was flashed by experienced roofers. Then I applied crown cap and top crown bean covered by CrownSeal product from the same supplier to make sure small cracks on a crown are not causing a leak, but after another rain I found chimney steal leaking. I was almost gave up until read reviews of this product and decided to give it a try. And after long fight with leaking I am happy that this product was a final fix leaking problems I had. Even you masonry looks good that does not mean water could no go through and this product is preventing it. It seals masonry itself because they are almost like a sponge without it.
