Last winter, I burned 3 Yankee candles on my family room fireplace mantle. The damage from soot on the ceiling and walls was so great, it had to be cleaned prior to re-painting. Unfortunately for me, the room is so large (15' X 29'), I was unable to do the job by myself and, consequently, hired a disaster restoration company to do it for me. What did they use? The very same soot sponges I purchased. They worked so well that I can put off painting for another year. I was in the cleaning and restoration industry for a bit, (IICRC certified for water, fire, smoke damage restoration) and this was the product they used to clean soot off the walls of fire damaged homes. While I do not know the brand the company used, its the same product.

If you have a candle and see the dark soot along the walls or ceilings, this is the product to use to clean it. Using a wet paper towel or Clorox wipes will SET the soot and stain the walls. My wife had a minor fire in the house, (was able to put it out, no one was hurt) and used Clorox wipes to clean the soot and now the soot is set into the paint. Now the area will need to be sealed and repainted (she didn't know any better, stuff happens).

Also, if you see corners of ceilings that have black spider webs, it is really a carbon chain of soot bonded ionically. Many people also assume the cobwebs they see in their homes are spider webs, when in reality, they are carbon chains of dust and dead skin cells.

Grady's Online can improve the picture/description of this item and not expect a customer to know the difference between a LLS.CM, (your propane feed to the lighter comes horizontally out of the side of your fireplace) and a LLA.CM (your propane feed comes off the bottom of your fireplace). Grady charges 31% ($5) to "restock" this item and does not help you save money on the return shipping costs, which were more than double their cost in my case. Note the LLS version (I did not see before I bought this one unfortunately) Grady also sells for 10% more has plenty of pictures (apparently customer provided) to help you know you are getting the right item.

Let's talk about "Angle Pattern", how about just calling it what it is, a 90 degree fitting, as opposed to let's say a straight fitting!

Or, how about we improve this so the same product has both holes, and you pick which hole to stuff (don't take that as a personal attack).

Like others have said, it is a great set for the price and does the job. The glowing ember material at the bottom is pretty. Overall, very happy. It doesn't put out too much heat, as it's all going up the chimney, but I got it for looks, so not a problem. Just beware if you think you're going to get heat out of this.

Pros: easy to setup, looks good, the 'steel wool' glowing ember stuff really does glow like embers and looks great. They provide way more ember and sand than needed. I will be filling the rest of my large double-sided fireplace with small rocks.

Cons: when on full (meaning I turn the gas valve all the way on) the gas hissing sound is really loud. Also, the photo shows flames coming all through the logs and such. At least on mine, most of the flames go up from behind the set, not in the middle. Not a big deal and it could just be my set. Also, the way it's designed is pretty much for one-sided fireplaces. The back side of this log set doesn't look as nice as the front when lit. I didn't lower the grade b/c of this, just as an FYI if you have a double sided fireplace like mine.

One of the logs was broken, the one that lays on the ground in the front, but not a big deal. I just put it there anyway pushed together and you can't tell.

**For those new to installation like me, this is a match-lit fireplace with no gas control valve at all. So, as you run your gas line to the fireplace, make sure to put your on/off gas valve near so that you can raise and lower the flames. I mean at 70,000 BTU this thing will eat up gas on full!

I ordered this set to finally complete my fireplace and have something going while I hosted a Christmas party. Some of the logs were broken, but not badly enough to not use. There were actually way more logs than I needed, so I have half of them sitting in my garage! Installation was easy and the instructions for hooking it up were easy to follow. That steel ember stuff that it comes with looks great! Overall everyone, including myself, were very impressed with the finished product.. especially at this great price!

Mine is in the firebox and it is able to get to with out burning yourself.I think it comes with too many logs.. It also came with four broken logs,which were replaced easily and I do not think I will use them. The broken ones fit in nicely.Very nice kit, and a very nice price.

unlike other reviews, all pieces were delivered in perfect condition. All items to install, except adjustable wrench, were included. Bending the gas supply line can be tricky, but filling with sand helps prevent kinking. Consider changing the angle of your fireplace's inlet (adding 90* or 45* elbow) to simplify the necessary bending of the gas line. Saw the same log set in the local retail fireplace store for $399! ($699 installed!) Would likely take an experienced person an hour to install. Also very important to have damper all the way open or you will get fumes. My wife wanted to cuddle in front of the fireplace as soon as I finished installing!!

We did a lot of research before buying and am pleased to say these are exceptional for the money. Being that this heater is a duplicate knock off of the Dr. Heater we knew we were getting great heaters. We purchased our 1st one last fall and it's still going strong so decided to add another to combat the rising energy costs. We have electric baseboard heaters and they are too expensive to use. The automatic thermostats are very accurate and the heaters are easy to operate. You do have to let the heater run for a short while to burn off the oil smell. We heat a smaller ranch style home with these 2 and they keep the house at a nice comfy temp. I would recommend these heaters over the higher priced heaters to everyone.

You get what you pay for here; nothing flashy, but an effective little stand that's easy to put together. On the quality side, it's more or less comprable to O'Sullivan products.

I needed something tall so that my cable box and dvd player would be visible above a certain range. This stand looked perfect, as Amazon has it listed at 24" in height. However, when the package arrived, it noted that the stand is only 21". This actually renders the second shelf useless in my case. And there are a lot of other stands out there that I could have considered in the 18"-20" range.

Returning an item like this is more or less impossible, as disassembling and trying to repack it in the small container it was shipped in would take more time and effort than it's worth.

This tv stand is attractive,gets the job done,and is inexpensive to boot.The big advantage is its being on wheels allowing easy changing of position.With my tape measure it is 22 inches high and 30 inches across,so it would not be suitable for very large tv sets or for those who have a special need for a higher elevation.I had no trouble fitting my 17 inch cable box on the shelf,but anything wider than that would not fit.

My only fuss is the slots are to small for dvd's or video game cases. In order to fit anything in I had to remove all of the slots and just use a blank area to stack them. One corner of the box was crushed so the corners of TV stand pieces were also damaged. Son, anxious to have TV stand, didn't care and put together anyway...... backwards! Guess he didn't realize it was made for use in corners. Directions (pictures only) were not easy for him (21 year old) to follow. It actually doesn't look bad with the cut corners at the front. In spite of being misbuilt, it is a sturdy TV stand and will serve it's purpose for use in the basement TV room. The useless plastic holders were purposefully left out. What I don't understand is why it was designed with CD size holders and not DVD or game case size! Fits game systems without any problem. Games were stacked in side openings where the plastic holders were supposed to be inserted.

I received this as a gift and am delighted with it, not expecting it to be a source of heat, but more for atmosphere and looks. It is smaller than I expected (so take note of the measurements), which is fine with me, and not very heavy (also fine with me). The copper color is also somewhat darker than indicated in the picture. It took us 15 minutes tops to put it up, including drilling. The kit comes with a metal cover that lines up with all the 3 gel fuel containers so that you can easily put out the flames. I found that if you leave this sitting there, you can then put jar candles on and that looks great too. The black background reflects the flames nicely, and the fire from the gel fuel even crackles. One can burn just the one can in the middle or the two outer ones (for symmetry) or all 3. Because it is recommended that the cans are shut again after use to prevent evaporation, one should have a screwdriver or something similar close by to reopen cans, also some place to put the lids of the cans, unless one plans to burn all fuel in one shot. Lighter with a long handle is also handy.

I purchased this wall-mount gel fireplace as a Christmas present, and I (as well as the recipient) couldn't be happier!! As another reviewer wrote, it is not as "shiny" as it appears in the photo. But in my opinion, that's a good thing!! Probably the most accurate description of the color would be "brushed antique copper."

Color aside... the size is exactly as specified; it was delivered within a few days and was well packaged to prevent damage. It's solidly constructed yet very light weight, which makes it's super easy to hang on the wall. In fact, it weighs only slightly more than a comparably-sized piece of framed artwork.

It's important to note that it does not come with any gel fuel, and it's hard to find the fuel online in small quantities (expect to spend $50+ for 12 cans or $70+ for 24). But don't let that stop you... the fireplace comes with a cover for the gel fuel holes so you can simply use regular pillar candles.

And lastly... It's not designed to be a primary heat source! But it puts out the same amount of heat as a full-sized gel fuel fireplace at a fraction of the cost. And it can be put on pretty much anywhere... patio, dining room, bedroom, bathroom, office... wherever!

All in all, I have only positive comments about this product. I'm ordering another one!!

I bought this fireplace to use outside on my pool patio. We had a chiminea out there, but it made so much smoke and I couldn't enjoy the ambiance of the fire because of the smoke blowing in the face. I bought this and a case of the gel cans which produce no smoke at all!. It was easy to hang. We used it many times in the cooler months and it was awesome. It is really for someone who just wants the effect of a fire burning. It does not really produce much heat. Very romantic for the evening hours. The 3 cans will burn for about 3 hours.

It's very light and quite easy to install. I would suggest that you place a strip of masking tape on the back to trace out the mounting holes. remove the masking tape and place on the wall , then just drill through the tape. That solves the problem of aligning the holes.

The surface is not real copper but it's nicely finished and goes well with dark wood and leather furniture in the room. Overall, a handsome piece.

The manufacturer's description "copper finish" and photos led me to believe it was copper color. It isn't. It has no shine and is a dull bronze shade of painted steel. I bought it at a retailer with an "O", returned it, and wrote a negative review, but they must censor reviews as it was never published by them. I can see Amazon publishes negative reviews and I thought this was a way to get the word out. The good news is I bought the stainless steel version instead and it is beautiful and much more solidly constructed.

I should have done research on MDF fiberboard before I bought this. It is basically wood particles bound together with formaldehyde, and this screen smells like it. I've left it out in the back yard the last couple days, hoping the noxious smell will go away. So far it has only lessened a bit. If by tomorrow I can't leave it in a shut room overnight without the entire room reeking the next morning, this is going back.

Looks nice enough and would have fulfilled my purpose for it (too small to block an average size fireplace, but large enough to hide some plumbing I don't want showing in my finished basement). I'm not willing to get cancer for it though. Formaldehyde is a known carciongen, which is why it amazes me that people tolerate this stuff being put in home products. The physical size of this product is nowhere near what is listed and labeled. The size is supposed to be 31 X 44 inches. In fact the maximum dimensions are 27 X 35 inches. As a result it does not fit where we intended. Since we like the pattern, we will probably keep it and make do by creating some sort of frame around it to enlarge it.

Love the design, it is too cute. I use it to conceal my cats litter boxes in our family room. It really hides them and adds to the decor, however, it is poorly made, the hinges for folding are sooo cheap and were all bent and distored due to being too small for the heaviness of the screen and the size of the box it was delivered in! It came in a box twice the size of the screen with only a small little bubble pack inserted over the top of the picket fence. Maybe that is how the hinges got so bent? Do not know, but they are too small to hold the weight of the screen. After a lot of work, my husband was able to repair the damage and it looks great....

I purchased this stand to use with our new 55" Sony Bravia LED TV. It's very difficult to find a good looking corner stand for a TV this big. Most of the ones I found were much smaller, or were very tall, which I think looks awkward with a TV of this size.

Aesthetically, the stand is gorgeous. It is very expensive looking, and the black tempered glass really adds something to the overall look. The wood is a tad bit darker in real life than in the picture, but "espresso" is definitely the best description, as I have 2 other pieces of furniture named "espresso" and it matches them perfectly. It was extremely simple to assemble, you don't need any tools at all. It took me and my 11 year old daughter 10 minutes tops. Just don't make the same mistake we did and try to put the glass on from the top to the bottom... you have to put the bottom shelf in first (whoops!!!)

Overall, I am very happy with this purchase and I would highly recommend this stand.

I was very skeptical about glass being shipped but when the heavy box arrived and I opened it everything was packaged carefully and beautifully. Really simple to put together too. The only problem I had was where to put the anti skid dots that came with the stand. Although shown on the diagram I found it difficult to follow that part of the diagram. I called Avista but their phone line was busy for hours. Then I emailed them and did get a response about a day later. By that time I had taken a guess as to where the anti skid dots were to go. When they did call me back, I told them they need to better their diagram of the placement of the anti skid dots. The told me even if I was having trouble they would lift off and I could reset them where there were any wobbles. I did not have that problem though. Putting the stand together was easy and I am delighted with how it looks and it supports my 55 inch Sony and my other components perfectly. Great product! The glass is thick and tempered with a smoky black finish, it looks very rich. The wood on the stand is pretty close to the color you see in the picture. I am happy with this stand and will buy another one for my next purchase of another TV for my living room.

This stand caught my attention due to its contemporary styling & it fits in a corner which is important based on the layout of my family room. Once this product arrived, I found a very well packaged unit which greatly reduces the chances of being damaged during shipping. Its very well built and feels/looks like it should cost considerably more money. I spent more time unwrapping the packing material surrounding this tv stand than actually putting it together (about 10 minutes). I ordered this and only received the canvas bag. After contacting seller and politely asking them to send frame, I finally got response to send item back, was told that amazon may consider cased closed if I did not contact them within 5 days. Once on phone with amazon I brought this fiasco up and was told that I would have to take it up with another department. The canvas bag sits unused. I would not recommend buying from this company to anyone. Life it too short to spend this much time on beurocrats.

This canvas liner is quite sturdy and fits well into the cart. It cuts down on the mess in the room from dirt and bark bits. The only thing you have to be careful about is to be sure the logs on the bottom are within the little side panels and not on top of them or it causes the whole thing to pull down and unsnaps the liner from the cart. Although the snaps seem sturdy, I would worry that pulling them too many times in this manner might pull them through their attachments.
