The ignitors were as expected. I bought a two pack because my Mt Vernon eats ignitors. One note.... these ignitors did not arrive with the installation instructions. Previous ignitors that I had purchased arrived with installation instructions. If I hadn't already replaced several ignitors.... I may have had some problems without instructions.

I have a 48 inch opening on my fireplace which is the higher limit for this product. When putting the smokeguard together it is difficult to hold the pieces together and snap into the opening. The spring loaded bar down the middle sags when putting in place which make the whole piece unstable. Once it got it in place and glued it was fine but seems like a terrible design, very painful to get in place.

Once in place it solved the problem and looks fine

This works as expected. I wish they'd make an arched version to more closely fit the arched opening that some fireplaces have. All in all a good product.

spring assembly uses a set screw on galvenized pipe to hold the tension on the sides, I think as long as you put this in and leave it, it should be fine. the top corners of the firebox will need to be as square as possible otherwise the guard will wiggle until set with the caulk. caulk seems to do a good job of setting the guard after it dries.

Was very pleased when I took this out of the box. Then I went to try the broom........Don't buy this if you intend to actually use the broom. The bristles ended up all over the hearth and floor. Upon checking how they were anchored in I discovered that they were barely set into the holes intended to keep them in place. Don't know if this is common, or if I just got a bummer of a broom. Update on review..... When the selling store saw my review, they contacted me and replaced the broom (which I am very pleased with!) Great customer service!!

I dreaded buying made in china but really like the copper looks of this set it came boxed well and the set has a nice heavy sturdy feel to it (nothing to screw together like my other set that was constantly coming loose)

I purchased this fireplace to go in our 1942 home in the dining room/living room area. It is absolutely beautiful. We turn the flame on....without heat, of course....because it is so comforting. once we got it together we really enjoy it. didn't know that it wasn't assembled. probably didn't read that far. it does seem very sturdy although the slate looks darker than picture. all in all it was a great deal for the price.

You don't have to buy Illumine oil . . . it should just be bio clean burning lamp, fire pot oil for indoors. The seller is DIFINITELY taking advantage.

Looks nice in the picture, but that's not what you'll getthere are uncovered welds, the handle doesn't have the twist as shown in the photo, the screws aren't long enough to fasten the spacer bars to the body of the unit, and the screw heads aren't the low profile ones shown. Bought this to replace a 47 year old Vestal #49 ash dump. New one is slightly different with the hinge. Had to chip away a quarter inch of masonry so it would fit perfectly. Well made cast iron product. Looks like it should last another 47 years or so.

I purchased this stand to use with our new 55" Sony Bravia LED TV. It's very difficult to find a good looking corner stand for a TV this big. Most of the ones I found were much smaller, or were very tall, which I think looks awkward with a TV of this size.

Aesthetically, the stand is gorgeous. It is very expensive looking, and the black tempered glass really adds something to the overall look. The wood is a tad bit darker in real life than in the picture, but "espresso" is definitely the best description, as I have 2 other pieces of furniture named "espresso" and it matches them perfectly. It was extremely simple to assemble, you don't need any tools at all. It took me and my 11 year old daughter 10 minutes tops. Just don't make the same mistake we did and try to put the glass on from the top to the bottom... you have to put the bottom shelf in first (whoops!!!)

Overall, I am very happy with this purchase and I would highly recommend this stand.

I was very skeptical about glass being shipped but when the heavy box arrived and I opened it everything was packaged carefully and beautifully. Really simple to put together too. The only problem I had was where to put the anti skid dots that came with the stand. Although shown on the diagram I found it difficult to follow that part of the diagram. I called Avista but their phone line was busy for hours. Then I emailed them and did get a response about a day later. By that time I had taken a guess as to where the anti skid dots were to go. When they did call me back, I told them they need to better their diagram of the placement of the anti skid dots. The told me even if I was having trouble they would lift off and I could reset them where there were any wobbles. I did not have that problem though. Putting the stand together was easy and I am delighted with how it looks and it supports my 55 inch Sony and my other components perfectly. Great product! The glass is thick and tempered with a smoky black finish, it looks very rich. The wood on the stand is pretty close to the color you see in the picture. I am happy with this stand and will buy another one for my next purchase of another TV for my living room.

This table was a perfect fit for a 55" flat screen tv I purchased. Being I live in a rental property, I didn't want to put holes in the wall to mount the TV, and it is located in my bedroom, I wanted it to go with my bedroom furniture. This table is modern in style, made it easy to get behind my TV to set it up for cable and DVD. Is sturdy and totally handsome in the decor of my bedroom. It is the focal point of my bedroom now instead of my queen size bed. It also was a snap to put together, hardly no tools needed and just perfect.

This stand caught my attention due to its contemporary styling & it fits in a corner which is important based on the layout of my family room. Once this product arrived, I found a very well packaged unit which greatly reduces the chances of being damaged during shipping. Its very well built and feels/looks like it should cost considerably more money. I spent more time unwrapping the packing material surrounding this tv stand than actually putting it together (about 10 minutes). Avista has made a great product and I would consider this manufacturer before any other brand next time around. Awesome piece of furniture!
