I chose this tool for removing old mortar from bricks prior to repointing. I have several other cold chisels that would work but I saw this shape recommended in a British video and, sure enough, it's the best choice. Has a very nice heavy weight that holds up to pounding but not so heavy that it's tiring with long use. The fact that the handle is not quite as long as some chisels permits me to get up a little closer and see what I'm doing, so I don't slam the edges off the bricks.

I am enjoying the ambience and it works well for my sterio and other stuff but was damage on the top.Well I live in Trinidad where it is hot most of the time but I bought it for the ambience and it also works well as an entertainment center. I think it is a good design because it really add a touch of class to your space.

For years, I've been scouring home stores & the Internet for a unique fire screen for our fireplace. Out of several to choose from, I got this one and I absolutely love it. The pic is deceiving, as the color is actually black scrolls over black screen, not black scrolls over gray screen. Either way, I would have been happy because this screen makes a statement. It says, "I am different, unique & fabulous!" That's exactly the look I was going for in my living room!

I currently have the fireplace floor standing but think it will look much better wall mounted. It is electric so the flame is basically a light bulb that flickers with a motor rotating foil. Looks decent but can def tell its a fake flame. The heat it produces is minimal and may be good for a bedroom but not anything much bigger. The heat is pushed out the top of the unit so nothing can be with 4ft of the top. Also since heat rises most of it goes right up to ceiling. I have a ceiling fan to help with this. The glass cover is nice and makes it look nice when hung on wall. The unit looks nice and modern and produces some heat. It's more for looks than for purpose.

This fireplace is fantastic! I loved it so much I bought two of them. One for my bathroom and one for my computer room. It looks so real and cozy and is illuminating! If I had more rooms I would buy one for each of them, thats how much I like them. Thanks again amazon it's a winner!

I like this sleek contemporary black fireplace. The white coals are real and have to be placed on the bottom shelf before sliding on the black frame. Right now I am just using it for decoration. I haven't tried the heat settings yet. I placed it on the bottom shelf of my baker's rack. I removed the top shelf of my baker's rack because the instructions say to leave a specified amount of space at the top when the heat is on. I chose this product because a similar product from another store was sold out. I like this product better because it can be either wall mounted or free standing. The product I originally wanted was 36" wide and wall mount only. I think it may have been dangerous to mount the other 36" wide product on the wall. This one is just right for me.

The unit is very nice looking and puts out a good amount of heat. The real thanks goes to the Amazon help number I called after the first two units, different makes, were not able to deliver. Your representative stayed on the phone with me until this unit was ordered. He included next day delivery because of the grief we had been through trying to get a stove. This is why I'm giving this unit a 5 star. Nice work Amazon.

I have a 48 inch opening on my fireplace which is the higher limit for this product. When putting the smokeguard together it is difficult to hold the pieces together and snap into the opening. The spring loaded bar down the middle sags when putting in place which make the whole piece unstable. Once it got it in place and glued it was fine but seems like a terrible design, very painful to get in place.

Once in place it solved the problem and looks fine

This works as expected. I wish they'd make an arched version to more closely fit the arched opening that some fireplaces have. All in all a good product.

spring assembly uses a set screw on galvenized pipe to hold the tension on the sides, I think as long as you put this in and leave it, it should be fine. the top corners of the firebox will need to be as square as possible otherwise the guard will wiggle until set with the caulk. caulk seems to do a good job of setting the guard after it dries.

This was a perfect fit and actually looks nicer than it does in the picture. The only complaint is the top got a little dented in shipping but not enough to warrant repacking and sending it back.

I ordered this a safety measure for our gas fireplace. It fits well and stays at a safe temperature, with the exception of the uppermost 4 inches which are directly above my fireplace vent. That isn't a problem for us as my baby cannot reach that high. I like that it cannot be tipped forward due to the enclosed top; it can still be tipped backward. Ours is held in place with two Command Adhesive hooks attached to the fireplace surround. As others have mentioned it is easily dented, but I was more concerned with function.

When I first looked at this screen it was listed as $29.99, three days later when I'd decided on this model it was listed at $44.99. A week after purchase: $80.99!! At that price I would not have ordered this model.

This is a sturdy little forged log ring. It looks great next to our woodstove. It's not meant to be carried around (which I think it obvious) but just wanted to throw that out there. We bring our wood in, in a bag. and then load it into this. It holds a day's worth of wood, we burn all day. It was bigger than I expected which was nice.

I got this to use as a quick bulletin board background in my therapy room at school "Warming up to good speech". It was brightly colored, eye-catching, and big enough to fill the bill. Not quite as big as I'd expected, though at least 6 inches of clear plastic around all edges but it worked. And it was so thin that it was very difficult to get it down without tearing it I'd used tape and the blue sticky gummy stuff.

We've had the boot scraper for a few years. Heavy enough not to move around too much. Use it more as a stop to keep the gate open. This is a good product for the price. It is considerably cheaper than other comparable products. This one doesn't come with the fireplace tools, which I already had, so that might contribute to it being cheaper. Assembly was quick but the parts did not align well. I even had to leave one screw out because I could not force an alignment of the holes. It didn't matter, still works well and will be sturdy enough to hold as much wood as you could stack on it, without the wood falling off.

Dark brown/black with gold rubbed accents gives this log bin a nice wrought iron oil rubbed bronze look. It's made from aluminum but is quite heavy. Also includes a metal bottom panel that has a matching finish. Stores about 20 split logs. You can slide about 10-15 pieces of kindling wood underneath it too. Highly recommended.

I really wanted to write about how nice the log bin looks and the heavy duty materials it's made of. OK, I just did that.

Now to talk about the not so nice stuff. I'm tired of buying things created by American companies that subcontract the work to Chinese manufacturers and we consumers end up with poor quality workmanship.

This unit arrived with obvious defects that just a little bit of quality control would have caught. The holes in the cradle did not line up with the socket holes in the uprights. When assembled, the four legs did not sit square on the ground. And finally, the cradle had a damaged corner.

Fortunately I have a die grinder, a side angle grinder and a hammer. I was able to resize the assembly holes to match, and cut off the excess length on two of the legs. I used the hammer to straighten out the curled corner of the cradle. It only took me 20 minutes because I had the right tools. What are you going to do if you don't have access to these tools?

After fixing the defects, I have a nice looking log bin next to my chiminea and I'm happy with how it looks and works. But there was no need to put me through the frustration of fixing the defects.

Please! Just a little Quality Control! And maybe you should think about bringing your manufacturing back to the USA!

We purchased this item as a gift for my husband's parents who heat with a wood stove. We are very pleased with the quality of the item and the size (perfect for wood stored in the house overnight). Although we haven't given them the item (Christmas present) we are sure that they will be pleased with the sturdiness of the item and the complement to the decor in the house.
