This metal bucket looks just like the item displayed on Amazon, i.e. none too pretty but functional. The metal material allows placing hot ashes, and the spacing between the bottom of the bucket and the floor it is placed on avoids heating or burning the floor it stands on. It is not covered, so glowing coal placed in the bucket keeps glowing and will emit poisonous CO and CO2 gasses. It is great for the day-after ashes.

Approx size 16.25" high to top of handles, 14.5" wide on sides & 15.5" side to side. Metal bin is painted flat black, slightly textured. Not solid metal but seems strong enough for intended use & light enough to carry around. Easy assembly-just attach bottom to each side using 4 bolts with nuts. Supplied allen wrench fit, but other one didn't-you'll need small crescent wrench to tighten up nuts. Bin has plastic feet to protect floor, sides bow out just a bit & it stores more than bins that have curved bottoms or sides.

Carrier fits inside the bin better than the picture shows, bin can be used with or without carrier. Size is 14" wide by 36.5" long excluding handles-assemble by pushing wood rods thru each end & thru handle loops. Suede leather is chestnut color, is stitched & riveted so should hold up well. It's lined with black synthetic material that makes it easy to keep clean & protect the suede. It's slightly narrower than other log totes, but sufficient for most fire wood.

Made in China by Panacea Products of Ohio, maker of other fireplace accessories. More functional than most other bins, no excessive decoration & good size for most hearth areas. Can also be used for storing & carrying other items magazines, blankets, pillows, toys, books, etc. when not using around the fireplace. Overall a nice bin & carrier.

This log rack is very functional and attractive. It is a bit on the small side, and therefore works particularly well for small hearths such as mine. My only complaint, and the reason I gave it three stars rather than five, is because if it is constructed according to directions the two vertical elements wobble due to the fact that no nuts are provided to stabilize the joints where 4 screws are applied. It was easily corrected: I bought 4 acorn nuts at my local hardware store, put them on and spray painted them black. However this is something the manufacturer should be providing.

Love this product and thanks to another reviewer for the exact dimensions! Saves floor space as it's box-shaped. Holds plenty of logs to get you through the day and into tomorrow! The best feature is that you can bring the firewood in the house in the sling and NOT get debris all over the floor and your shirt. I would recommend this product to anyone with a fireplace. Love it!!!

I think the fireplace looks much better in person than the in the picture. It arrived well packaged and with no cosmetic blemishes. It was assembled, minus the feet. The hardest part was getting it out of the box, but it was well protected. They included a touch-up marker. The fire looks quite good and provides a pleasant ambiance, but of course it's not going to match a real fireplace. I didn't find it to be overly noisy. It heats up immediately and outputs a significant amount of heat, but I haven't run it long enough to know if it will actually warm up a room. Overall, very pleased with the product and seller.

Used it about 10 times so far and no complaints...

Much better heat than the clay one I "stored" last year for a friend.

It's rainy/damp where I live so clay would never hold up and iron would rust eventually.

Review of Uniflame Olde World Iron Log Rack with Tools

I ordered this rack mainly because we needed a fireplace tool set, and I didn't want one of those tool rack sets where the tools are always swinging around and the whole thing is so easy to tip over (especially living in a house with dogs!). The log rack part of it was a bonus.

This is exactly what I was hoping for. The rack was easy to assemble, and is extremely sturdy and nice-looking. The tools are heavy and have nice long handles; very functional. The bottom section of the rack, though pictured empty in the product image, is perfect for keeping our kindling stacked separately from the bigger pieces of firewood. The top section holds plenty of wood for either a couple of small/short fires, or a nice raging all-evening fire on a cold winter night.

The only reason I gave this four stars instead of five is because when it was first assembled, it didn't quite sit level; something in the construction wasn't quite square, so one foot sat slightly off the ground. My husband was able to remedy this by drilling a screw into the bottom of that foot (it would also have been easy enough to just put a piece of cardboard or something under it, but we wanted something more permanent). Aside from that minor setback, we're very happy with it.

This is a lovely set. I am very happy. I gave it to my husband for Christmas and it's everything I hoped for. It went together easily, it looks very nice and it seems plenty sturdy. It should last a long time.

Wow! A truly stunning arrangement and much larger and fuller than I expected. The picture doesn't do it justice....the pot is a pebbled texture, and a striking shade of slate blue. I purchased this set for my husband for Christmas. It's a beautiful, functional set with simple, but elegant design. The tools are well designed and more functional than fireplace tools we've had previously (ie. the shape of the shovel and the bend of the brush). However, the set is quite small standing only 25" at the highest point and substantially smaller than other sets we've owned. So if you need a massive look or feel, this is not the set.

Bought this item from Amazon and I thought it was a bit overpriced. Was I seriously going to consider paying that much for a fireplace tool? It's worth it. Well designed modern clean lines and well thought out -a good example of form plus function.

I've had this set for about 5 years and am glad that I bought it in the first place. It's a great product for those of us who like clean, modern lines. And it sure looks and functions a lot better than my regular, run of mill set from the hardware store.

This ain't rocket science...the only way you screw this up is getting the wrong size for your fireplace. Quality, thick construction should last longer than your house. I burn a fire every night in winter and this definitely protects the back as it was designed to do....500 years ago.
