The first version of this fire pit (Arizona Sands) was reasonlly well rated. So I figured this 2nd iteration would work well (Arizona Sands II). Unfortunately, the mesh screen spark guard was completely missing (I can imagine a missing screw or something like that, but really?). Also, the stone lid (that is movable and is place under the table when lighting a fire) had permanent marker writing on it. It looked like a math problem was being done on the stone piece! Strange. So I called Deeco thinking they could send replacement pieces (I didn't feel like lugging 70lbs back to UPS). No luck, even after I told them that I would be writing a review based on their response. Oh well. So now Amazon is going to send me a replacement. My fear is that the mesh screen MAY be missing from all the boxes, but I'll come back and update this review once I get the 2nd box. I like the idea of the product, and the design is reasonable (you're not buying a Mercedes however) would have given it maybe 4 or 5 stars. But if Deeco had more foresight, they should have gladly sent me replacement pieces instead of getting a bad review (hence the 2 stars).
UPDATE: The new box included all the pieces. Still, it would have made more sense to just send me the pieces rather than have me box up a huge fire pit. I increased the rating to 3 stars.

This reveiw is merely a public service announcement. I ordered this firepit because I like the lookis of it and the functionality. Unfortunately, the product is worthless. I received 4 shipments of this product my originial and three "re-orders" or replacements due to damaged merchandise. The first one I received had two pieces broken (slate pieces from the top). The next two orders never even made it to my house because the carrier sent it back as damaged. The fourth was delivered today and had a hand written note on it from UPS that said I reported this item as damaged. The box was severely "cracked", but we opened it anyway just to prove that we had inspected the item. This time, there were no less that 6 pieces broken and it had obviously been purchased previously as the inside packing materials were haphazardly placed and in no real order. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement! This company must think their customers are complete idiots to continuously send defective merchandise and think we will simply accept it. This will be going back not to be re-ordered. In fact, no product from this company will ever be ordered by my family or friends. They obviously don't care about their customers' satisfaction. First one arrives from UPS looking like it was run over by an 18 wheeler. UPS person attached a note saying 'Rattle inside is okay." All the tiles had been broken off the frame and the legs were bent. Contacted Amazon who quickly put in a replacement order shipped via FedEx. FedEx delivered two days later. Box looked great, but when I opened it, I had received a second damaged table. I think the fault lies with manufacturing and packaging. You would think a fire-pit costing $300+ plus could be delivered undamaged.
