Pros: Installs easily and can be mounted almost anywhere (porch, tree, fence, etc). I used this with "Achla Designs Heart Shaped Birdbath and Feeder". It fits well and looks really nice.

Cons: Kind of expensive for what it is. A simple, threaded metal bar shouldn't cost more than $10. You must also provide your own screws. I might also suggest you add washers also, because the holes are pretty large and typical wood screws are ALMOST too small for them! Also, the Achla products that are specifically designed for it are very pretty, but expensive. Product descriptions on Amazon are also not good at ensuring that a bath is threaded correctly so that it will fit.

Other thoughts: I actually have two "Heart Shaped Birdbaths", because the first one arrived damaged and was replaced (this was not Amazon's fault I ordered from another website entirely). The first one screws in perfectly, so that it faces forward, away from the mount. But the second one ends up pointing to the side when you screw it in all the way. I can either 1) leave it a just a tad loose if I want it pointing forward or 2) deal with the different orientation. Just something to think about. Oh, and if you're wondering what the deal with the damaged bath was: the little bird broke off in shipping, but some clear expoy actually worked perfectly to put it back together. So I ended up with two working birdbaths!

All these little cons add up, so I feel justified taking away a couple stars.

I am SO happy with my Dimplex mantle and fireplace. It works perfectly and looks gorgeous in my room. The finish is darker than I would expect from "cherry," but the pictures do show it as being dark.

I check out gas fireplaces now and think my Dimplex has a prettier "fire"

There is a soft motor noise when I use the heater, but it's not bad. Choosing whether or not to have the heat is a great feature. Also there is a slight "new appliance" odor when I use the heat. I expect that to go away. I definitely would recommend this product.

I've had this fireplace for about 3 years now and couldn't be more pleased with it. It looks great in my living room. The remote that comes with it works wonderfully, you don't even have to aim it at the fireplace to turn it on or off. This fireplace heats well too. I wouldn't recommend it as your only source of heat of course, but for those chilly nights you can turn it on and feel a noticeable difference in the room temperature within a couple minutes. The flames also look very realistic! I constantly get compliments on this fireplace, I'd highly suggest it.

I bought mine from OneWayFurniture.com to save a little money. They used Ceva Trucking to deliver it. The fireplace was delivered today and it's more beautiful than the photo. The delivery guys carried the box up a flight of stairs, opened it and took all the pieces out for me so I could inspect everything and then they were happy to haul the empty box and packing away for me.

It took me about 15 minutes to put together, using the wing nut bolts provided. That's it. No screwdriver or alan wrenches. The veneer is a rich cherry, more like mahogany, and once put together, everything fit great. The glass and log insert just slides right in.

I put a solid piece of wood a little larger than the fireplace base underneath because I have carpet, giving it a firmer foundation to sit on.

This really is an elegant addition to my room and am looking forward to many hours of cozy fireplace time this winter.

I bought this because it was electric with a bulb & nothing to mess with. Now that Amazon keeps sending me comparable ones that are HALF the price of the one that I bought, I'm feeling like I should've researched more. Also, it arrived with some pretty major scratches on it, but I fixed them easily with a wood marker.

All that said, I love this fireplace. The look, the flame, & the heat all feel like a real fireplace!

I ordered this mantel unfinished to make sure I had the right stain color to match the rest of my molding. I noticed a pretty long scratch along the top about 3 inches but you couldnt feel it with your finger. I sanded it lightly with no results. My mason guy was coming the next day so I went ahead and conditioned, stained, sanded, polyed, and sanded again. Scratch still shows. I have strategically place a candle over it. Dissappointed that it was shipped that way. But overall it does look really nice, with nice curves.

Once you get it together it looks and works great. The instructions are horrible and we had to cut the metal brackets that hold the fire place to the hearth. They were to big and the hearth would not sit flush around the insert otherwise. Also you need to build the hearth around the fireplace insert. There is absolutely no way to insert it and put the brackets on it after the hearth is built. So before you put the top part of the hearth on, install the fireplace part and then finsh by adding the top piece.

I'm so excited to come home to my Media electric fireplace which brings a cozy, warm and relaxed feeling to my bedroom. The dark brown espresso color adds a nice touch to my bedroom furniture which is also dark brown. After you assemble all the parts together that took almost 45 minutes, you will definitely see your moneys worth. It took almost two weeks for it to be delivered in two parts. The mantel and then the fireplace w/remote control. I panicked when I only received the mantel and didn't see the fireplace which was delivered later that day. It took the manufacturers to tell me that there are two deliveries. If there are any questions or concerns, please call the manufacturers directly. Trust me...you wont be sorry.

I love this fireplace but there are 2 manuals (one for the wooden parts and one for the fireplace itself). Given that they are separated we started with the one related to the wooden parts and we missed one step of the second manual, hence we had to disassemble or just keep going. We just kept going (we skip the step that prevents the fireplace itself from being pulled, so we hope nobody want to pull it :).

Other than that I do not have major complains but feel very warm in winter.

I purchased this poker as a Christmas gift for my son. He has a fire pit in his yard and I noticed tree limbs sticking out of the pit that he was using for a poker. WoW, better then expected. At first reading some of the other reviews, I was a little skeptical, but I figured if there was a problem, I have never had any issues with returning an item, so I bought it.

It arrived very quickly and to my surprise, it is heavy and a perfect length for camp fires and fireplaces!

No parts were broken off and all was intact. To me it looks like a one piece construction. It was wrapped in bubble wrap and then surrounded by three layers of cardboard.

My only issue is that I wonder if the handle will get hot especially when moving big logs for a camp fire. I personally don't think it will get that hot because it is not like I am leaving it in the flames.

I would highly recommend this item.

UPDATE: Used this on a camping trip, and this worked FABULOUS!! No issues, and no heat was generated to the handle. I HIGHLY Recommend this!!

I heat the house by woodburning stove and as soon as I heated it up a little, AND I MEAN A LITTLE, it bent horribly and is rendered useless.

Made in ChinaI should have known better, but was being cheap.

I'd send it back to the people I bought it from, but it's not worth the postage or aggrivation.

Please don't make the same mistake I did!

I received the rod. The handle was falling off when received. Threads on both rod and in handle were completely gone that it screws on. I elected to try are repair it wrather than return it. Handle hole had to be drilled to a larger size Handle was cheap pot metel and barely took threads, then had to re-thread rod to match it. I wish I had spent more and got a good one.

We bought this for our very modern dining room and everone just LOVES it!! I will say it is one of the cheaper ones and the craftmenship is not amazing. The first one we got the edges were not completely flush and my boyfriend being the perfectionist that he is, was no happy with it, So we called amazon to send it back and get a new one. Note to buyer, these are considered "hazardous" and are not returnable. So amazon sent us a brand new one FREE, and we got to keep the old (which we put in our bathroom over the tub). Overall we are very happy and think it was a great buy.

I really really love this fireplace and am so happy I decided to get it! It has a nice matte finish that I personally like a lot. The build quality is good as well. Here are some little notes that I feel may be important to a potential buyer:

The fireplace is pretty heavy. You must mount this properly. Basically you are putting 3 screws in your wall and then mounting this fireplace on these 3 screws. One important piece of information is that the manual states that AT LEAST one of the 3 screws must be secured in a wall stud (assuming you have drywall.) What I did was put the middle screw in a wall stud and the other 2 screws I secured using a high quality/heavy duty plastic anchor (not included.) This process is by no means difficult but it requires that you put a little thought into where and how you will mount this.

The gel fuel that is meant to be used for this fireplace is pretty damn expensive. It does provide some decent heat and looks really awesome though. Also, if you sit too close to it does have a bit of a chemical smell. My default setup for this fireplace is placing some nice decorative candles on the fire place (there is a black metal piece that covers the 3 gel fuel holes when they are not being used...I place said candles on top of this.)

-All in all I absolutely love this fireplace and so has everyone else who has visited my home. Highly recommend!

Got it yesterday, open the package and realized the silver was just paint, not actual stainless steel. It is just a metal box with 3 gel fuel spots. I am very disappointed. Since I can not return it, I am stuck with it, and no refund. Also I can not return the gel fuel as well. Be aware!

The mantle scarf is great! Nice quality, and it hung great on the mantle, straight out of the package. We have a mantle with a white finish, so the color shows through nicely. Also, our fireplace is in a corner, and the length of this is just perfect (just about an inch short on each side), so that is hangs well without looking awkward.

It was easy to put up, we just laid it on the mantle and put a couple of miniature pumpkins along the edge, and it was good to go. We've received lots of compliments on it, and even my hard-to-please hubby likes it!

I just purchased a Cast iron humidifier and love it-$5.95 at the local thrift store.Cast iron needs to be seasoned,just like a cast iron skillet.Clean your cast iron item,dry it out,then rub bacon grease on it,inside and out(that's the best way)or olive oil or shortening and bake it in the oven for an hour or so-that should stop the rust,let it cool down in the oven.One reviewer said she was going to paint her's-that's probally not a good idea if you are going to use it-to many chemicals in the air.Oiling it will make it nice and black.

This cast iron kettle is very sturdy and it looks great on our wood stove. Keeping it full of water while burning a fire to keep the house warm is a great way to keep moisture in the air. Before using this kettle, it became hard to breathe since my nose and throat would dry out. Now there are no worries!

first heater started to make a metal to metal vibrating sound. They replaced no problem next heater came damaged in shipping form fedex. They also replaced with no problem. Third heater works excellent very pleased with heater live in a 1000 square foot apt. Turned off heat pump heats up about 2 degrees a hour. So far a great heater an I would recommend it to everyone as a extra source of heat. Saves me money on power bill. Hope it will hold up and last.

This little guy was plugged in and went to work immediately, heating our 16x20 living room built on a concrete slab addition. It has a mechanism to prevent overheating, so we tend to leave it on all day and night in the coldest weather...which can be pretty cold here in central Michigan. The ONLY thing we don't like (and it's rather trivial) is that you can't have the heater on without the flame effect. Again, not a big issue, since the flames are pretty realistic looking, when compared to almost all other models. It comes with a remote, although we never use it. It's not too big and has a very nice rustic appearance that goes perfect with our "lodge themed" living room. It also doesn't weight a ton, so it can be moved to wherever it is needed, but is still solid little unit.

I love this stove. It looks good-very realistic-and heats well. I use it in an open living room, dining room, and kitchen area. I turn it on when I sit down to watch television. It will always raise the temperature in that area 2-3 degrees, so you can turn down your main heat source. It is not very heavy, so it can easily be moved from one area to another. There is no setup required; just plug it in. If I had a place to put it, I would buy another!

The cord on this machine actually melted. My step-father has an electrician background and just bought a heavier duty cord and plug in for this machine. The whole cord got too hot and started to melt; he replaced it as soon as he notice the cable failing. This is a fire hazard and anyone purchasing this needs to watch for it.

I bought this at our local Lowes store for $315. I guess that Lowe's had a lot of trouble with this kind of shed. It comes with about 520 screws and bolts. To use this screws and bolts you will have to drill at least 250 holes as half of the existing holes are at the wrong place. After we started to assemble this shed we found out that the separate floor kit ($70) does not make any sense. We asked our local Lowe's store if they would know some contractor. They declined and told us that they had their demo unit built by a contractor. This contractor was not willing to assemble this building as he had already to much trouble with the demo units at Lowes. To many parts don't fit.

I bought my shed from Home Depot for 298$

The most difficult part of this shed was deciding on which method to use for a foundation. Since it comes with a floor kit the task was really about clearing a level space. After a discussion with a guy at Lowe's, (Went to Lowe's for the plywood, etc.) he recommended laying down 3 10' 4x4's parallel to each other. One for the front edge, one for the back edge and one right down the middle. After doing a some light trenching with a pick/mattock (not unlike this one: Pick Mattock 2-1/2 Lb), I got them square and level to one another.

I did find the instructions to be lacking in some spots. And did not always agree with the order specified in them. I assembled all possible parts to pre-assemble. The instructions have you assemble the framework first, but I went ahead and mounted brackets to the gables, and assembled the doors as well. Once I screwed the floor kit and floor frame to the 4x4's the assembly went quickly. I'd schedule 8 hours for shed assembly and lunch.

By the time I got to the third wall, I found it best to put the screws in just enough to hold the whole wall/roof panel in place, working from the outside to the center of each individual piece or section, and then go back and tighten the screws. The ribs in the sheet metal will compress a bit making them more rigid and will also bring the pre-drilled holes into alignment. I could see how others might not have the patience to work with this kit but found I was able to align all but 2 or 3 holes. I did not need to re-drill any holes. (Ribs will compress from \_/ to |_| ~ish)

I was less than thrilled about the success of screwing the plywood to the floor kit. Wood to metal. The instructions say to use drywall screws. And in truth these did work best. Use fine thread though. NOT coarse. The spots where I could go all the way through the metal into the 4x4's are solid, but the flex in the metal has a tendency to pop loose any over-tightened screws in the floor. Another possible fix would be to sandwich the floor-kit with plywood. This way the screws have enough of a bite to actually go flush to your plywood flooring.

I did also order and install the auger anchor kit: Auger Anchor Kit. My one gripe here was that the cable buckled the rib at the top of the wall when I tightened them.

All said and done I'm very happy with this shed. It was definitely worth the 300$ + augers and lumber. More importantly my wife and I can park in the garage again :D

Cheap Large 2-Door Finished Tubular-Steel Crest Fire Screen With Solid

I bought this scroll fire place screen for my parents Christmas gift and unfortunately I did not open the box before the big day. When they opened the box they found the frame work had multiple cracks where the welding had split and the doors were very far from level; when the doors were shut, one was much higher than the other.

I also bought Amazon's recommended Panacea matching tool set....which didn't match at all. So at this point after returning the broken screen, we contacted Panacea to return the tool set. After an e-mail and phone call, we were informed that it must be returned within 30 days (no extension for the holiday) and not only would we have to pay for shipping but an additional 15% of the total cost for a 'restocking fee'.

I was slightly skeptical about buying this product in the beginning based off other reviews of the screen falling and not standing level. My father is a carpenter and I figured whatever was slightly off he would be able to mend. We never got to that point but based off the other issues I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't stand at all.

I am very disappointed with the products and the frustration in getting them returned. Today is January 11th and I have yet to be able to replace their gift. Merry Christmas Mom&Dad.....

The fireplace screen fits perfectly and adds dimension to our fireplace. I bought the screen to safeguard against the sparks from the fire. Unfortunately, the magnets that hold the doors closed don't work once they reach a certain temperature, rendering the screen useless the first time I used it. IT was uneven and moves back and forth if you touch it.and the directions were poor on how to put it together. The back legs stick out a ways so if you have glass doors that cover your fireplace this will not fit back into the fireplace so that it is flush with the front of the fireplace. If you have a deeper fireplace then these legs would fit in and be flush and look better.
