I looked over many sets on-line and I chose this one based on looks and certainly on the weight of the set. If you look at the other sets, most of them weigh much less; some even one-half of what this weighs. My last set was much cheaper and it showed after time.... the shovel could bend at the shovel end, etc. I was concerned buying a tool set on line without seeing and feeling it. I was certainly pleased when this one arrived and I knew instantly that it would hold up for a lifetime. It is heavy duty. Very pleased with my purchase. Highly recommend. Looks great!

The clock arrived completely in pieces, broken glass everywhere. The seller immediately had a replacement sent and it arrived in the same shape; completely shattered. We tried a third time, hoping Sterling would ship it in better packaging, but the third one arrived in exactly the same condition. It was shipped with the same flimsy packaging each time which kind of blew my mind. They blamed UPS but that was not the problem. When you ship something with glass, it should have extra cushioning but this only had one layer of small bubble wrap and a thin piece of styrofoam each time. We all know the delivery companies are rough on packages so I don't blame them.

I was very disappointed, as the clock would have been beautiful if not broken.

The seller was great to work with, responded immediately and apologized. I would buy from them again, but never a Sterling product.

I knew this screen would be a bit tall for our Fireplace, but the hubby moved the legs on it. We don't the opening at the bottom now, which I prefer anyway.

It took two tries to get this installed right. First, the velcro was a little too sticky. When I tried to move the fan, the velcro came unstuck from the fireplace and not the hook/loop like it's supposed to. Second, I thought the temperate sensor was supposed to go on the top side of the fireplace. The first attempt yielded melting wires and loud hums from the fan.

The second attempt, I made a "bed" with insulation tape (the kind you put on door jams) and put some 2.5" wide velcro tape on the bed. This thoroughly insulated the fan from the fireplace shell. Then I took the magnet and sensor and put a screw through them so they would hold together and stuck it to the bottom of the fireplace.

Everything is working great. Other than the sound of the air moving, you can't tell the fan is on. And now the entire room warms nicely when the fireplace is on.

Does a good job and makes my otherwise useless gas fireplace useful. It puts some actual heat into the room. Instructions could have been better but it's pretty straight forward. Basically stick the blower unit to the back of the fireplace, plug it in and put the magnetic temperature switch on the top of fire pan. The unit doesn't come on as soon as it has power. It waits until the fireplace warms up and then turns on. It will also stay on for a few minutes when you turn the fireplace off to push the residual heat into the room. The noise from the fan is a little louder than I thought it would be but not too bad. There is also a fan speed control to adjust the speed (and noise) of the fan. Overall I'm pleased with the purchase and performance of the unit.

I have one in our fireplace, I installed this one in a friend's fireplace, and two other friends each have one similar to this also. They are well built units and work well. I also want to mention that the support from "fireplaceblowers" is excellent. They promptly answered questions by email and were available by phone as advertised on their website.

My installation is good but my friend's installation had an issue. These work by placing the blower below and at the back of the firebox so it blows air up the back air gap and out the top grill. The issue is my friend's fireplace has a much larger air gap (3" vs 1" in my fireplace) along the sides of the firebox which allowed a lot of the air to go down the sides to the bottom instead of out the top grill and thus recirculate into the blower. This heated up the gap under of the fireplace box which should have been cooled by incoming air. Fireplaceblowers immediately answered my phone call but, unfortuneately, did not have a ready solution. However, being able to discuss it with them helped as I devised a solution. I bought a 3x3 ft sheet of galvanized steel at Lowes, cut two 2.75 inch strips and put one strip in each air gap along the sides of fireplace to restrict the air flow along the sides. I left the 0.25 inch gap to allow side air flow if the fireplace is run without the blower. I also tested this reduced air gap to ensure I did not overheat anything but since the 3" air gap is still there, the only thing is a slight restriction of a thermally driven flow. Without an exact sketch of how I placed these sheet strips, I hope you get the idea. This worked to restrict downward side air flow, recirculating air along the sides is minimal, and good warm air is flowing out the top grill.

This is a very substantial and sleek/modern fireplace. It arrived well wrapped and protected. It is heavy, about 50lbs and not very easy to move from one location to another due to its design; I put it on a rug to slide to different locations. The "Real Flame" fuel does indeed burn close to 3 hours. The glass only gets hot right where the flames are and just above so no need to worry about the outer edges or those edges near the floor causing heat damage. Very nice if this suites your style. I assembled by myself, but with the heavy pieces of glass a 2nd person is helpful. I put decorative cylinder candles over the provided canister holder cover when not using as a fireplace.

"WOW!" That's the first word my guests ever utter the moment they walk in the door and see this gorgeous fireplace lit afire. I use this fireplace in my high rise condo, and love it. First off, I've lived here for 21 years and the only thing I really miss is having a fireplace. I put this on top of a low coffee table in front of my sofa overlooking the city, and we can snuggle on the sofa while watching the fire and through the fire can see the lights of the entire city doesn't get any better than that.

If you don't have a fireplace, or are going to build a house one day, compare this against the cost of putting a fireplace in your house. In an existing house, you're looking at a lot of expense, and I know in a new house (from experience) a lot of home-builders will charge from $5,000 to $30,000 for a fireplace including mantle, rock/brick fascia, flu, gas pipe, electric ignition, etc., etc. So before you complain about the cost of fuel for this admittedly about $10 for a night of having a fire, think of what a bundle of wood costs while also thinking about how many fires you could have with this fireplace for a LOT less money!

The fuel is great, it crackles a bit... however, in shipping the cans always seem to get dented. I can put up with the dents, just not when the fuel is leaking all over the box (happened once, but amazon's amazing service rectified the problem immediately).

Final thing portability! Living room one night, bedroom the next, dining room during a holiday meal, and next to your jacuzzi tub for a romantic surprise, especially on valentine's day!!!

I have been looking for a 'portable' fireplace that would fit (size and design) the decor of my home. I was pleasantly surprised to find this gem on Amazon. This piece is absolutely perfect and I could not beat the price or versatility (love the idea of using candles in lieu of gel canisters). As one reviewer noted, the piece is heavy and does not lend itself to be easily transported to a new location but I've come up with an idea to solve this a wood base (channel on all sides) on wheels (hidden) that this fireplace can sit on.

I like this fireplace, but have found that I don't use it as much as I had thought I would. It is not very easy to move around difficult to do by yourself. More importantly, the fuel is expensive. I feel like I really need to have a special occasion to use the 3 cans of fuel it takes. It seems there are no alternatives or competition for the source fuel, so you have to buy the Realflame gel fuel, which runs about $3 a can. The design of the fireplace is cool and the fire does make a nice crackling noise and nice ambiance.

If you're someone that is familiar with incense, you will definitely find this kind to be a little different. This red ceder scented incense is part of a line of wood based blends that include balsam and mesquite, among others. They are a little more loosely packed then sweeter traditional incense you may be used too, and emit a much smokier, fire burning smell than oil based blends. It's my opinion that if you are used to the usual swirls that emit from cone incense, you may just find this to be a bit overwhelming. If however, you feel the extra smoke won't bother you, you may also find this and the other wood based incense to promote a very warm and cozy atmosphere of a burning fireplace. It will fill your room with a delightful ceder wood aroma to be sure. The looser base of these blends make for a much faster burning experience than your average cone, or stick incense. My average per brick is about 20 minutes and its done. The return however is that the extra smoky blend makes for a longer lasting scent in the aftermath.

I have not found these, or any of the others in this line, to be any harder to light than any other kind of incense. And with all due respect to the other reviewer here that stated they do not stand up easily, I have had no problems with mine in that area. I would prefer a traditional cone over the little brick design that these are, but they are still very manageable. If your an incense enthusiast, I would definitely recommend at least trying this old fashioned ceder blend. Perhaps picking up a small box as part of a free shipping package just to try them out...

I've tried incense on and off over the years and most Indian fragrances are too flowery. I tried this incense and loved it. Makes your room smell like you've got a wood stove without being overpowering. The only down-side to these little bricks is that they're a little rough to get lit. I'd suggest a mini-torch lighter for quicker lighting.

I lOVE this incense! Reminds me of my childhood! I DONT have a problem getting it to light and it always burns 100% for me, just give the tip a good torching and blow on it a little like stoking a fire! It really isnt like regular incense (which I dont like) and is more smoky like a camp fire smell (because its made with real wood particles) I purchased Pinon, Juniper, and Cedar and love all three. The mantle scarf is great! Nice quality, and it hung great on the mantle, straight out of the package. We have a mantle with a white finish, so the color shows through nicely. Also, our fireplace is in a corner, and the length of this is just perfect (just about an inch short on each side), so that is hangs well without looking awkward.

It was easy to put up, we just laid it on the mantle and put a couple of miniature pumpkins along the edge, and it was good to go. We've received lots of compliments on it, and even my hard-to-please hubby likes it!

I ordered this item because it was lauded as better and heavier duty than others on Amazon that look very similar. It was more than twice the price. It's much lighter than I expected--really thin and lightweight. I would NOT recommend this product. I also ordered several other Minuteman Int. items and have been disappointed with them as well. They're all lightweight and cheap--but cost more than most other brands on Amazon. There is another basket that looks just like it for less than half the price, but I ordered this one because I thought it would be sturdier. It came with a bright gold "Made in China" sticker and it certainly lived up to the stereotype of cheap imitation products. I know that some quality products are imported from China, but this one is one of the reasons for the negative stereotype. Don't waste your money. This one is extremely over-priced.

Mine came in a box with the brand and model number WoodEze 5UC-6733.

It's small and light enough to hang with my other fireplace tools, but it puts out a lot of air. If you are sitting on the hearth in front of the fire, the size makes it easy to manipulate.

I had one of these before (the same or very similar model number), and it wore out after 4 years of light use. The vinyl melted and cracked to the point where air came out everywhere except the nozzle. But I guess I shouldn't expect much more from a bellows under $20.

From the looks of it (and the description of this model elsewhere), I think the body is pine, not hardwood.

Exactly as described. Made of very nice wood and the metal fixtures are sturdy. It is built well enough to last for a long time. The only down side is that it is small. The chamber doesn't fill up with much air. You need to pump it very quickly, several times for it to work effectively.

Since there were no videos or anything of this new product, I was a little hesitant to buy it, but I wanted to have it when I was home for the holidays. It came in a huge box and was well packed. Instructions were easy and I had it together in about 20 minutes. Turned it on and played with the remote controlled light, heat, and flame speed features...and it really looks like a real fire and puts out a good amount of heat. I had it on every day while I was home and was just please to push a button, have a "fire", not worry about wood or ashes or a smokey smell in the house, etc. I would recommend this product!

I only got to use this three times before it stopped heating. It still lights up but it gives off absolutely no heat now. For $600 it should have lasted longer than that. Very disappointed.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: I had to update my review to reflect my recent experience with Dimplex a drop from 5 stars to 3 stars. The logs started to flicker and the heater started to randomly cut out after a few weeks of use. I understand that things like this happen, and that it may have been damaged in shipping so I sent an email to customer service to explain the problem. I got a response after a couple of days from someone who gave me a customer service number to call. I called in and waited for over 2 hours, no joke, before someone picked up. The person was very friendly and told me that they would send out a brand new set of logs and it would take 7-10 business days to receive them this was on February 25th. I am writing this on April 14th I just checked the website with my call number and it says that the order is still "In Process". These are a great product, but just be aware of what could happen if you have any problem with them.

We had our chimney inspected and it would have cost thousands to make it safe for a real fire, or even a gas fire, so I started looking into other options. I decided on these logs because of how realistic they looked, and I am not disappointed. The inner glow of the logs is so natural looking. You would really need to look closely to notice these aren't real, especially if you put a screen in front.

I already had gas coming into the fireplace, so I capped the copper gas line in the crawlspace and then cut the existing line and used it as a conduit for the electrical. I installed a single electrical connector and hid the wires behind the logs. After doing this, I completely sealed off the chimney since this doesn't need an open chimney and I figured that I may as well seal off a hole and save on heating/cooling bills.

I also purchased 5 pounds of black glass embers which help to make the whole thing look a little more realistic and is a lot cleaner than using charcoal.

The end result is an extremely realistic looking fire that I can have running as ambiance without producing heat, or I can set the thermostat at any temperature I want, as high as 125 degrees, to produce as much heat as I need.

The only complaint I have is that the remote seems to be a little funky, but it is an RF remote, and they tend to not be as responsive as IR remotes. The good thing about RF remotes is that they work through walls and don't need to be pointed directly at whatever you are controlling.

Overall, I highly recommend this unit.
