I was quite pleased when I first got this product. It is kind of hard to light, but this is a good child safety feature. It has a sleek design with a good reach and we found it to be quite useful for about 2 months, until it ran out of gas. Surprise, no refill!

For this price you should be able to refill this product. I now feel like I was ripped off. I won't be buying another.

This lighter is great and I loved it up until it ran out of fluid, which took about two months. I can't find anything like it that is refillable though. All of the refillable ones are straight and I prefer this. I wish they would make a refillable version.

The lighter is well-made and works well enough certainly better than the chintzy red plastic lighters that ARE refillable but do not have adjustable nozzles and do not last very long before the flame adjustment or the trigger quits working.

But this Bic Luminere lighter is not refillable. In two months it is landfill. Pure waste. I thought it was refillable, or never would have bought it.

Gives off pretty good heat... gel fuel hard to find except online... amazon has the lowest price by far... raises room temp in small room by 7-8 degrees. paint finish on fireplace not the greatest but nice.

We bought this for our very modern dining room and everone just LOVES it!! I will say it is one of the cheaper ones and the craftmenship is not amazing. The first one we got the edges were not completely flush and my boyfriend being the perfectionist that he is, was no happy with it, So we called amazon to send it back and get a new one. Note to buyer, these are considered "hazardous" and are not returnable. So amazon sent us a brand new one FREE, and we got to keep the old (which we put in our bathroom over the tub). Overall we are very happy and think it was a great buy.

I really really love this fireplace and am so happy I decided to get it! It has a nice matte finish that I personally like a lot. The build quality is good as well. Here are some little notes that I feel may be important to a potential buyer:

The fireplace is pretty heavy. You must mount this properly. Basically you are putting 3 screws in your wall and then mounting this fireplace on these 3 screws. One important piece of information is that the manual states that AT LEAST one of the 3 screws must be secured in a wall stud (assuming you have drywall.) What I did was put the middle screw in a wall stud and the other 2 screws I secured using a high quality/heavy duty plastic anchor (not included.) This process is by no means difficult but it requires that you put a little thought into where and how you will mount this.

The gel fuel that is meant to be used for this fireplace is pretty damn expensive. It does provide some decent heat and looks really awesome though. Also, if you sit too close to it does have a bit of a chemical smell. My default setup for this fireplace is placing some nice decorative candles on the fire place (there is a black metal piece that covers the 3 gel fuel holes when they are not being used...I place said candles on top of this.)

-All in all I absolutely love this fireplace and so has everyone else who has visited my home. Highly recommend!

Got it yesterday, open the package and realized the silver was just paint, not actual stainless steel. It is just a metal box with 3 gel fuel spots. I am very disappointed. Since I can not return it, I am stuck with it, and no refund. Also I can not return the gel fuel as well. Be aware!

Product was shipped in timely manner. Easy to assemble. Functions OK, gets the job done. That's the good part. Now tune in for the bad.

1. One of the wheels was badly warped, out of round. To me this is evidence of poor or non-existent quality control. Actually the cart functions OK w/ the wobbly wheel, but it irritates the crud out of me to have a piece of equipment that looks so shoddy when it is rolling.

2. Shortly after using it a while, one of the wheel bolts fell off. Fortunately this occurred on a cement pad so I saw it. After that I checked all the bolts and tightened them just to be safe. Again, lousy quality control.

3. Other carts sourced in China have been shipped with a plastic cover and buyers have complained about the foul odor when they unpacked the box. Well guess what, this unit had the same odor. I hung the cover in my barn for a few days and the odor seemed to go away, but someone who was unpacking this thing in a house would not be happy.

4. Most serious issue is the PRICE vs. components and quality. I was looking for an inexpensive cart just to haul wood up to my porch, one w/ wheels big enough to navigate steps. Other units cost up to $225 and did not seem to be that complex. So I went with this one. So folks, here is my assessment. I think it is overpriced by a factor of about 2X. At $75, given the quality issues cited above, and the simplicity of the design and the strength of the steel, etc. this is a rip off. If were priced at $35, I would be pleased and not complaining too much. I figure it has about $2 of direct labor, about $9 of materials, and maybe another $10 for packaging and shipping. In other words, a cost of 20-something landed on U. S. East coast. So the seller is making a fortune. Caveat Emptor!!

Lastly, we as Americans ought to be ashamed of ourselves for letting the Chinese humiliate us like this. It is one thing to buy a quality product at a fair price, made in China, I am fine w/ that. But the fact is, with proper tooling and workflow, this cart could have been made in the USA. Not retailing for $35, mind you, but certainly for $75, and I would much rather buy America assuming the quality was top notch.

All in all, I gave this 1 star but I would have given it a negative 2 if I could have. Didn't send it back b/c too much hassle, but I sure am disappointed.

I purchased two of these bellows, one for home and one for cabin. It works very well and is a handsome design. It does exactly what a bellows should do. The air is directed right where you need it.

Pros: Works well, no air leaks, can be directed on embers you need to catch fire.

cons: A little small. It takes more pumping to get the fire going, but once it takes, you're set!

Pros:

Reasonable price (for this type of furniture)

Open spaces for your electronics (lets heat dissipate), rather than enclosed

Drawer can be left out to create 3rd open shelf and still looks "finished"

Not overly complex to assemble (i.e. not a particularly large amount of hardware for furniture this size)

Holes pre-drilled in the back of the drawer in case you want to keep a game console there

Mostly wood construction, only flimsy pieces are back panel and drawer bottom (typical)

Customer service and technical assistance in US (Dallas Texas), numbers clearly printed in directions

Cons:

Couple of minor dings (OK, I can touch the small ones up with a black marker)

A rather large ding on prominent top piece, I am contacting SEI to obtain replacement piece (will update with results)

Instructions leave a bit to be desired, not all my pieces were labeled (but some were), some pieces are easy to reverse

My parts bag was torn open, parts scattered in the box (but all there)

Fit of doors is hit-or-miss, not always 'square' in the openings, you can mitigate this some by lifting on one side or the other (the unit will flex slightly)

The dowels that support the shelves in the cabinets are not level with each other, as a result one shelf is not stable and will "rock" slightly. For me this is only one one side, and only in one of the 3 possible height positions (the middle one which is really where I want the shelf).

Misc:

Made in Vietnam.

About 70-80lbs.

UPDATE: I called SEI's customer support line regarding the damaged top piece I received. I was able to speak to a human without too much automation, and she arranged for a new top piece to be shipped to me no questions asked and no charge. I received it and the replacement piece was in perfect shape. So, I'll upgrade my rating to 4 stars due to the good customer service.

This product met all my expectations. It is attractive, easy to assemble, and--for the price--has more hardwood than most. It is quite thin, meaning it is not obtrusive if the look you want is "decorator" other than "techie". The best thing is that it is the right viewing height, as opposed to some stands from "real furniture" companies that may be anywhere from four to six inches higher. Buyers should be aware that the "antique white" is more toward the yellow side. It is pretty much the actual color shown in the photo. I would have given this product a five star rating except for one small oddity on my particular stand: the decorative apron beneath the front edge actually touches the floor. It would look better if it were a bit shorter.

I found the product to be a little clumsy to install and to re-install after each fire is completely out and the metal insert has completely cooled. The plug itself is not preventing cold air from entering. I would have to say it is not really as good as advertised.

A helpful camper in Vermont showed up about the "Zip Firestarters". We were having problems getting our campfire going because the wood was a little damp. He came up, said he had the solution and popped a little rectangle piece of something into our struggling fire. Amazing, the fire started blazing and we had no more problems. The fellow camper was from Canada and he had bought the Zip Firestarters at Walmart in Canada. He gave us 4 more of the little plastic wrapped pieces of whatever and we never had a problem with starting a fire. These are not the same thing, but are made by the same company and hopefully will do the same trick. I am happy that Amazon had these. We haven't tried them out yet, but will be shortly as we are leaving on our RV trip. I will update the results then. But, if these do perform the same, I will be very happy. I tried everything to get the exact product, but no luck, guess I'll have to go to Canada! Again, if these work and I'll soon know, then I'll be a happy camper. (Pun intended)

We bought this 30,000 btu dual gas vent free heater 4 days ago and it was said it would stink a little at first but after 3 days of eye burning stink and headaches -we turned it off and will take it back.

This is our 3rd vent free heater and the other two didn't stink like this.
