It is low-cost, but it is not "heavy-duty" as claimed.

You need to assemble it using a provided wood screws and it is not that sturdy.

The finished unit leaves the rack in contact with the ground, which is not great.

Suggest getting a better model for just a few dollars more.

Suggest looking for other models with raised rack and those that self-interlock (easier to assemble and lasts longer without screws).

I have 6 of these racks made 12ft long. Have used for 3 years now, and would not recommend. By design the horizontal 2x4 is supposed to hold the vertical in place,along with the screws, so it doesn't lean out, but with the weight of my wood which is 4ft tall and 12ft long, it pushes them out quite a bit, and then they come apart. Would probably be okay for smaller racks. But there are better designs available.

I bought these at the local hardware because they stopped carrying the Rutland brackets. They are so flimsy that its almost impossible to get them together because the tiny screws they supply keep popping out and the various crosspieces and uprights come loose. It was a delicate operation to get it in place without have the whole thing collapse. Not sure if it will actually hold firewood.

Bottom line: buy the Rutland brackets. They are worth the extra money.

I ordered this to accompany a matching wood rack I bought last year (identical to the one in the picture). The item that was sent is also a 2x4 log rack system, and probably a fine one, but you expect to get what you see, no?

I highly recommend you take down the picture and update it with the Rutland product you are shipping.

This is a great, inexpensive way to stack wood close to your house. Can be broken down during the summer. Very helpful if you need a lot of wood close. We burn so we have many of them.

Item was not what I was expecting. The stain color is off from the picture and it even may be that the "wood grain" is actually a sticker, not even veneer. Screws do not hold up well in shipment, tearing insert from mantel. I would recommend seeing this item in person before purchase and picking up item in store as opposed to shipping.

We installed this stove in our log cabin as a secondary heat source. It has performed great. The thermostat control really make this stove a great deal. It will keep the cabin at an even temperature with no work from us. This is a quality stove and it looks like it was built for the cabin!

I am very pleased with the set! The stiff lighter colored brush has been replaced with a black colored brush that works well with the shovel (see image gallery picture for new version). I am also very pleased with the size at around 18" tall (like stated) which is perfect for my apartment fireplace. You may want to spend more for a taller set if you have a larger home, but perfect to get the job done with limited space such as my small hearth. The quality seems pretty good...appears to be a shiny black powder coated wrought iron and is holding up well so far.

I love that this is nice and small. The brush doesn't look like the one in the thumbnail, its black and looks like a traditional fireplace brush. I live in a small condo and this is absolutely the perfect size -doesn't take up too much space and being small it makes my fireplace look much larger. I couldn't be happier.

I am happy with this set for it works great with my small apartment fireplace. I would not recommend it for a large or normal size fireplace because of petite size. The only thing I was not happy about this set was the broom is not the same as the one pictured.

This was a 'last minute' Christmas gift while the gauge of metal and welds were good, I was disappointed the broom was not as it appears in the picture. The broom that comes with this set is awkward to use on narrow hearths the one in the picture would have been more effective for our need. I am very frustrated with this product. When the box arrived, it looked liked it had been opened previously and then resealed with new tape. My first thought was, I hope this isn't a product that has been returned by another consumer this could be a problem. So I was pleasantly surprised when I set it up, it came on right away had a nice look and the heat output was good. This lasted for little more than 20 minutes, then it went off. I reviewed the troubleshooting portion of the instructions and tried a couple of the suggestions but nothing no light, no heat nothing. If nothing else works, I have no choice than to return it!

We bought it for our bedroom, heats up the bedroom very nice, and thats just on the low setting. It is also is nice to look at. The only problem we have is that when it was shipped the back of the remote that covers the battery was in pieces, the heater was packed well, but the remote wasnt. All in all we like this heater.

The instructions for the table mount were a bit hazy. as in.. there are 6 holes. 4 screws... but.. a bit of looking, and it's easy enough to figure out.

I love it. I bought it for my bedroom. I leave the flames on all night. The heater is great but I wish it has either a timer or a thermometer on it. The remote came crushed but it was promptly replaced. Easy to put together if you lay it on a bench, etc to screw on the base. I have it setting on a desk under my wall mounted TV. Nice ambiance to my room.

This set is simple cast iron. The molds obviously haven't been inspected in a while. The handles are threaded but the holes are not centered on all of them. One is too big and won't tighten on the shaft. Cheap set but generally gets the job done.

This is a wonderful heater, while not taking up too much space. Everytime I turn it on, my cat immediately goes to curl up next to it. It is a safe for animals/children to be around, as it is sturdy and does not get hot to the touch. Helps to offset the cost of heating in our home. Great value and the pewter color is alittle different than the plain black you usually see.

They're matches, they start fires, that's great. So, four stars for doing that they're supposed to do. Yay, them.

On the other hand, I'm really posting this to point out a flaw in the listing, for those who might do what I did and order them without noticing.

How many matches will there be in your order? Thinking 1250? Read the ENTIRE catalog page and then try to guess again. Still thinking 1250? Because there's not any answer on the catalog page, so you'd be forgiven for thinking that. You'd be wrong.

This: "Coghlan's 1250 Wooden Safety Matches" SHOULD read like this: "Coghlan's #1250 Wooden Safety Matches, 2 Packages of 250" but someone... well, let's just say they failed. OR they meant to rip you off and if so... they did not fail.

In the end, they're over-priced matches Diamond are better and generally cheaper but they work. Maybe that oughta be 3 stars, but I hate to detract from the product because the person who created the catalog page is a nitwit.

Not 1250 matches but 1 box of 250 matches, This seller has very cleverly added what they call the item number into the description to deceive others into thinking they are buying 1250 matches and they stack 2 boxes together again making one to think that you are getting 2 boxes and 1250 matches.I order a quantity of 2 paid $11 for 500 matches. This firescreen is made really well and very sturdy. It was big enough to cover the entire opening of the fireplace. I am very pleased with both the workmanship and appearance. I've seen screens made by this company in stores and they are priced much higher.
