This fireplace is not worth the money that I paid for it. Looks like tile around the fireplace it is not it is fake yellow wood color and it is so ugly. Also the insert fireplace does not fit properly and there is a 1 inch gap at the top so you can see right through it to the wall. Also the fireplace does not fit into the hole snuggly it doesn't look like the picture at all. So ugly... We ended up buying granite and putting granite around the fireplace. Looks nicer but when you pay that much for something you would think it would be alittle nicer. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!!

Great looking fireplace! Flames look as real as any electric insert I've ever seen. Kids love it. Will be nice at Christmas time. :)

The wood work around the firebox is a natural pine so the picture is a little misleading. All in all, it is a nice product and I would recommend it.

I had a bit of trouble putting mine together. Some of the connections were tight. I needed to protect two of the rods as I clamped on them to tighten them but the finish still scuffed off a bit. I also found that once I had put the top on the rod for the base that I could use that for some leverage to tighten it. Pay attention in the diagram to which length of rod goes with which tool and that the shorter screw end goes into the base. Other than that it seems fine.

We have a smaller fireplace so this set of tools worked out perfectly. I have absolutely no complaints with the set. Nice build quality, fast shipping at a very good price.

I would purchase these again without hesitation in the month of use.

Honest reviews on "MINI" Miniature Colonial Fireplace Hearth Woodstove Tool Set

Fireplace tools don't work well in a wood stove too long, making the "work" you are trying to do awkward. This set not only is the right length but contains the 4 tools I really wanted.

I had read other review that talked about the brass handles being plastic. Our set has solid brass handles.Really looks nice next to the stove.

Got this set for my condo fireplace, which is a bit on the small side, so it compliments it very well and does it's job well. It looks good and is very sturdy. Well pleased!

The product is fairly sturdy and hasn't given us problems yet. The only downside would be that the legs seem a little flimsy. Some assembly required. And beware...the instructions are poorly printed with no written explanations. The upside is that it does not take a rocket scientist to put a fire bowl together in the first place. The company sent a couple of tools with the parts, but I would suggest using your own tools instead. Also, I thought it was strange that our screws were not placed nicely in the bag that came with it, but thrown into the box haphazardly. Once you get everything put together the bowl works just fine.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I first purchased the WAD931SP Slate/Tile Outdoor Firebowl Uniflame WAD931SP Slate/Tile Outdoor Firebowl with Copper Accents, which is attractive and easy to assemble. However, my husband then purchased this one as well (one is in a patio area, the other in an out-back grassy area with a smaller patio). They're pretty similar, as they're made by the same company, but there are a few differences.

Aesthetically, I think the Slate/Tile Fire-bowl is more attractive, but I suppose that's just personal taste. However, this one is odd to me because realistically who would make a smooth, rounded fire-bowl out of bricks and have it supported by curved steel legs? If you look, the bowl is meant to look like bricks so that seems odd.

I will say that this brick fire-bowl is definitely heavier and more solidly built than the slate/tile one. Very likely this one will end up lasting longer than the slate one I picked, just based on the solidness of it. However, if you do want to take this places, the slate one is much more portable because it's not so heavy. I find it a bit funny that this one tries to sell it as so portable, but compared to many of the various fire-pits it's heavier.

Another advantage to the slate one is that it has an edge big enough around it to set things on, so you can use it a bit like a table when you don't have a fire going. If you tried to use it as a table with a fire going you'd heat up or melt whatever sat on the ledge, so not so useful in that way.

Both of them have the same, kinda crappy, screen cover. I say that because the fit isn't quite right and the supposedly high-temp black paint is a joke. After one fire the paint melts off and then once that area gets wet it rusts right away. We don't have any rust on the legs, so I think those will hold up, It seems the only place rusting is where the paint melted off the screen.

Another consideration is that you will need some type of long pole to lift the lid off once you have a good fire going, as it does not stay below the screen but goes above it. We build a bit of a peak when making a fire and so ours goes about 6-9 inches above the screen (thus the burning off of the paint). I ended up buying a lid lifter used for dutch ovens over a camp fire, but it's a bit short. Many of the other fire-pits come with a lid lifter and I think these should supply that as well but they don't.

Brick look firepit:

More durable, long lasting

Heavy, so not so easily portable

No rim or edge, so only useful as a fire pit

Kinda ugly in my opinion

Same crappy screen

No screen lifter

comes with a pretty thin but functional vinyl cover

Slate/Tile fire-pit:

Really attractive

Lighter weight, so more portable

Has a rim/edge, so you can set things on it when it's not in use/hot

Same crappy screen

No screen lifter

comes with a pretty thin but functional vinyl cover

All-in-all they both do the job and they're fun to have. I'd say that if you want one to last a very long time go with the brick looking one. However, if you want one that is really attractive, go with the slate.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I love this fire pit! The assembly was a little complicated, however. The screws were loose in the box, and the instructions were not helpful. My husband put it together, and he just went by the picture and disregarded the instructions. Be sure to screw the legs in on the outside of the larger ring, not the inside, even though they fit. Also, putting it together will turn your fingers black, so make sure you are not assembling it on your carpet, and do it outdoors.

The fit pit itself is really nice. It is large, sturdy, and complements a patio area well. It can also be used for camping if you have a truck, SUV, or a large trunk to transport it. The screened top is not a perfect fit, but that is not a big deal to me. It burns a variety of materials, including wood, self-starting fire logs, paper, and charcoal. It comes with a vinyl cover to protect against the elements, but make sure the fire pit has cooled down completely before covering. I am very happy with its aesthetically pleasing appearance, usefulness, and durability.

Honest reviews on CobraCo Brick Finish Cast Iron Fire Pit

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is a good, solid fire pit that throws off a lot of heat for your outdoor gatherings. The shape allows for seating on all sides. I can't say that this is the most attractive finish I've ever seen, but it's simple, and the pit does the job its intended to do, so I can't really complain.

The biggest problem is that it rusts. The lid rusts very quickly, and I fear the legs are going to follow. The cover didn't help protect it from our spring rains. I fear it's going to take constant wire-brushing to keep it clean, and a coat of rust-protecting paint at some point. Or, I can schlep it into the garage once it's cooled down. That's kind of a pain considering the weight.

Love the firepit, pretty easy to put together even though the instructions were worthless.

The bowl seems like it will last for years, I make sure I put a scoop of sand in the bottom before each fire.

I have a rubber firemat under mine since it sits on my wooden deck and because of that, the feet are starting to rust out now because the water sits there after rain and the legs sit in the water.

This is lovely and a good size to hold wood. It matches well with any brass tool set you have. I like the filigree trim which brings it up a notch. Attaching the feat was difficult because the screws seemed to be the wrong size. We put it together flimsily, however, since it only needs to sit on the floor and hold wood it is good enough. A close examination would reveal flaws, but the price is outstanding and from normal viewing distance it is a lovely addition to our fireplace. This fits in beautifully in front of my parent's gorgeous fireplace in their formal living room.

Coghlan's 1250 Wooden Safety Matches Review

Coghlan's 1250 Wooden Safety Matches
Customer Ratings: 2.5 stars

They're matches, they start fires, that's great. So, four stars for doing that they're supposed to do. Yay, them.

On the other hand, I'm really posting this to point out a flaw in the listing, for those who might do what I did and order them without noticing.

See this "Coghlan's 1250 Wooden Safety Matches"?

How many matches will there be in your order? Thinking 1250? Read the ENTIRE catalog page and then try to guess again. Still thinking 1250? Because there's not any answer on the catalog page, so you'd be forgiven for thinking that. You'd be wrong.

This: "Coghlan's 1250 Wooden Safety Matches" SHOULD read like this: "Coghlan's #1250 Wooden Safety Matches, 2 Packages of 250" but someone... well, let's just say they failed. OR they meant to rip you off and if so... they did not fail.

In the end, they're over-priced matches Diamond are better and generally cheaper but they work. Maybe that oughta be 3 stars, but I hate to detract from the product because the person who created the catalog page is a nitwit.

Not 1250 matches but 1 box of 250 matches, This seller has very cleverly added what they call the item number into the description to deceive others into thinking they are buying 1250 matches and they stack 2 boxes together again making one to think that you are getting 2 boxes and 1250 matches.I order a quantity of 2 paid $11 for 500 matches. Not a honest company.
