This fireplace is not worth the money that I paid for it. Looks like tile around the fireplace it is not it is fake yellow wood color and it is so ugly. Also the insert fireplace does not fit properly and there is a 1 inch gap at the top so you can see right through it to the wall. Also the fireplace does not fit into the hole snuggly it doesn't look like the picture at all. So ugly... We ended up buying granite and putting granite around the fireplace. Looks nicer but when you pay that much for something you would think it would be alittle nicer. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!!

This was very easy to apply to the wall. It has been up for a couple of months and looks terrific. May want two people if you are doing the whole thing at once as it comes in a sheet layed out as you see in the photo. I cut it into individual lines so that it could be done with only one set of hands. I will have to update the review when it comes time to remove it. I'm not sure if that will go as easy. Seems it should.

Had this for 1 summer, top is totally covered in surface rust. Product comes with a cheap vinyl cover that we did not use. It works great, is fairly easy to assemble, and very lightweight, so you can move it where you want. Disappointed in the surface rust on top and sides, but will try to paint it with high temp paint this winter and see how it holds up. Rust does not affect the use, but looks poor.

The fire place is very decent size. The design is very nice. The only problem I have had is that when the steel gets hot the fire place door wont clamp when it's shut but the door will stay in place if you just close it. Hear in Wyoming it is still winter but considered spring I have had at least 4 fires each of them lasting more than four hours. I has had rain and snow also wind. I do not keep it covered and encountering those weather features in such a short amount of time it has held up wonderfully. One other thing is that if you need to flip logs it can be rather difficult because it's almost square so it can take some time to do. The fire place took no longer than 10 minutes to set up. All in all it was a very good deal and I would recommend it.

I just received the product in the mail. It did come slightly damaged but not enough for me to worry to much about it. I would just like to warn people it is extremely thin metal. I dont know if it will actually withstand the heat. I have a fireplace in my home and have melted the metal grate in it and it is made from a much heavier steel. I do have to say I love the look of it and cant wait to give it a try but, there is nothing heavy duty about this and I am a bit skeptical. I will update my review after a few uses. And as previously stated the welds on the product are very poor to say the least.

After using the product on several occasions it seems to hold up well. All the neighbors and friends love it. It puts off some decent heat but the ambiance that it gives off is well worth the cost. So far the metal is holding up well. Could not be happier. Every time we have burned it has been at least several hours....so I think its safe.

LOVED this fireplace! I have seen and used a number of outdoor fireplaces; however, this is by far the best quality and style. I LOVE IT! It is easy to open and place wood inside. However, it is also safe enough that I don't have to worry about intoxicated quests falling into the fire like some of the outdoor fireplaces that I have seen. I would highly recommend! Due to the recent heat wave here in New Jersey I have not used this fireplace to date! However I will say it was easy to put togther but I don't anticipate this fireplace lasting more than a year. When we received this fireplace and began assembly their was a side piece in which the Grate was broken,(poor welding technique), So we called and waited a week for a new piece. When we received the new piece and continued with the assembly we came across another piece that was defective and of course another week goes by until we receive the new one. Upon completion of the fireplace we put the top on and noticed the weld job, on the seam running from the top center to the lower corner. A three year old could have welded better than this! I do wan't to apologize to all three year old kids and to the parents of these three year old kids as it was not my intention to slight any of them but to bring to light how poor the welding techique that was used to construct this fireplace. This fireplace was very light and flimsy. It looks nice except for the weld on the lid. I will say that everytime my wife called about the problems, the customer service reps for "Fire Sense" were prompt and courteous and actually made this purchase a 3 star vs. a 1 or 0 star purchase. If this fireplace lasts more than a year I will update my review.

Others write that the fan does not move much air....Well, this fan is silent and it is not designed to move a ton of air. It works as described and it moves air nicely across the stove top surface. We have a soapstone stove and it seems to work nicely at moving some air across vs all of it rising. I look forward to having two fans moving air without the electical expense. I do not ever lift the fan without using the grab loop on top and I only clean the dust that has accumulated by using the brush adapter on my vacumm taking care never to touch the blades. I think the blades are balanced nicely and that aides in the silence of use. Good Luck!

This fan actually does work really well but only if you keep your stove reasonably warm. When in the "burn zone" at 400F and up this little fan moves air big time! It will start spinning at lower temperatures but the action starts when the stove is as warm as it should be, at 600F it spins so fast that we can slice bread and whip cream with it ;-)

I had borrowed my neighbor's Ecofan, when I first installed my wood-burning stove. It was hard to imagine the small fan could make much draft; so I started out as a doubtful skeptic. When I had to return the fan and used the stove without it, I couldn't believe the difference. The stove was only heating up the area directly around it; so I immediately ordered the 3-bladed Ecofan Airplus and used it to spread the heat on an entire floor (approximately 1500 square feet). I just this week had to replace my 12 YR old EcoFan. Living in Maine I burn 4-5 cords of wood each yr, so my woodstove and fan get quite a workout. The fan is an excellent product for moving hot air from the stove directly into the room at a rapid rate. No break (OR electricity) required! Frankly, I was lost the few days I was without my fan because it really makes a huge difference. If I got 12 solid years without any problems, I consider that a good value! (My old fan was just plain worn out). BTW this is the first review I've ever written. This poduct is well worth every cent and taking a few minutes to let others know it's value is a pleasure. This was so much cheaper through Amazon, arrived in time (I ordered it RIGHT before Christmas), and is very sturdy and attractive. I have three curious cats, and they have yet (almost a year since I bought it) to knock it over! Just make sure you are consistent in which side you pick for the bottom, because if you have a brick hearth, it will scratch up the finish a bit when you move it around. This picture is NOTHING like the screen I received! The one i recieved is a dull, black finish and does not even stand level when unfolded I also recieved no paperwork or invoice of any kind with the package. I contacted Amazon for refund instructions and the email from Wayfair was for me to send them a picture (of their product!!!) and model #. I responded I didn't have access to a camera to send them a photo of their own product and since there was no paper work included I was only guessing the model # was what was stamped on the outside of the shipping carton. Within a week, I had recvieved no response to the email but to my surprise received another dull black screen...this one did include an invoice. I again contacted Amazon totally frustrated due to lack of response to my first email and also now I had 2 screens I didn't want. I did receive a prompt response from Wayfair after the second email and they also sent a shipping label so I did not need to pay to return it and was told if I didn't hear from the warehouse within 3 weeks to keep the first screen. I have received my refund but would not recommend this product at all due to inferior quality and looking absolutely nothing like the advertisted picture.

This arrived about a week earlier that I expected and it was completely intact and ready to use. I was expecting to have to assemble the panels or return a dented, uneven screen. It was well packaged and all I had to do was wipe it down with a damp cloth (it was covered with a rusty dust). It looks great and was well worth the price. The only drawback is that it was made in China...but I couldn't find a screen that wasn't!

We have had our new fireplace logs for about 2 weeks, and we use them most nights. We had the logs installed; it would have been a big job, I think, to install them ourselves. We saved a few hundred dollars from the estimate by a local fireplace store for the logs, but for a better product. This set is a dual burner, so the fire is all around and between the logs, just like a wood fire. The G45 is recommended over the G4 on the Real Frye web site as more efficient. We went with a smaller log set and a better burner. It looks good.

We took this fire pit to a recent camping trip in the mountains. Comparing to the size of typical fire logs you can purchase, this fire pit was relatively small but not too small to ruin the experience. Our conventional fire logs of size about 22" x 4" couldn't completely fit inside the bowl, which made us think about being creative and supporting the top two logs with another smaller one that sat under them. This is why I gave it a four out of five stars: after the first round of fire, the bottom grid holding the support log was bent downward, due to the heat and the weight of the logs. While not a big deal, it would be nice if the grids were of better quality and thicker material.

The quality is on the better side of typical products out there however it's not the best. The folding legs are well-designed and stable with three spring pull-out pins that makes setting this thing up a breeze. The bottom of the pit and the edge are about 8" and 15" above the ground respectively so there is a maximum of 7" more or less inside the pit to play with. However the distance between the bottom grid -sitting on the bottom of the bowl to hold the logs -and the top grid -sitting slightly inside the bowl as well for grilling -is a bit on the smaller size (about 3") so there is almost no way you can grill something with some quality logs still burning. However after an hour or so of enjoying the fire, we managed to fit the grill on top of the remaining charred wood and boil some water for a nice round of hot tea. The top lid is hard to fit when there are logs in the pit.

The bottom line is that considering the price, the quality, and the portability, this is a very good fire pit for 2 to 4 people. Make sure you cut your logs into smaller pieces to maximize your experience.

This fire pit is light weight and packs away nicely in an RV. It worked great for what I wanted to use it for, an RV park that didn't have fire pits. As others have said, my husband was amazed it didn't melt. Make sure your fire wood is very small since the pit is so small. I would only recommend this item for travel, and for the ambience a camp fire provides, not for cooking or for a permanent structure in your back yard.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: I had to update my review to reflect my recent experience with Dimplex a drop from 5 stars to 3 stars. The logs started to flicker and the heater started to randomly cut out after a few weeks of use. I understand that things like this happen, and that it may have been damaged in shipping so I sent an email to customer service to explain the problem. I got a response after a couple of days from someone who gave me a customer service number to call. I called in and waited for over 2 hours, no joke, before someone picked up. The person was very friendly and told me that they would send out a brand new set of logs and it would take 7-10 business days to receive them this was on February 25th. I am writing this on April 14th I just checked the website with my call number and it says that the order is still "In Process". These are a great product, but just be aware of what could happen if you have any problem with them.

We had our chimney inspected and it would have cost thousands to make it safe for a real fire, or even a gas fire, so I started looking into other options. I decided on these logs because of how realistic they looked, and I am not disappointed. The inner glow of the logs is so natural looking. You would really need to look closely to notice these aren't real, especially if you put a screen in front.

I already had gas coming into the fireplace, so I capped the copper gas line in the crawlspace and then cut the existing line and used it as a conduit for the electrical. I installed a single electrical connector and hid the wires behind the logs. After doing this, I completely sealed off the chimney since this doesn't need an open chimney and I figured that I may as well seal off a hole and save on heating/cooling bills.

I also purchased 5 pounds of black glass embers which help to make the whole thing look a little more realistic and is a lot cleaner than using charcoal.

The end result is an extremely realistic looking fire that I can have running as ambiance without producing heat, or I can set the thermostat at any temperature I want, as high as 125 degrees, to produce as much heat as I need.

The only complaint I have is that the remote seems to be a little funky, but it is an RF remote, and they tend to not be as responsive as IR remotes. The good thing about RF remotes is that they work through walls and don't need to be pointed directly at whatever you are controlling.

Overall, I highly recommend this unit.
