We tried to make this work over our plain gas fireplace. But the bottom width of the ledge goes just to the edge of the fireplace. So for our purposes this product was too short. We had to return it. Had we used it, it would have served it's purpose, which was to provide a minimal fram over a plain gas fireplace. I recommend this product for a small decorating area.

These are absolutely beautiful and well worth the cost. I ordered a 4' and 3' and they look great on the wall with pics of the granddaughter. I would definitely recommend this product if you are looking for shelfs to set your pictures on. I will be ordering more of these for other rooms in the house.

Unless the logs are used in a dark room you can't see any glow in them at all. The picture used to promote the product is not at all what it looks like if there is any light in the room, even a dim one. The "crackling" sound is more like broken springs than the sound of real burning logs.

I am VERY disappointed in this Duraflame product and unless this one happens to be defective, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone!

Quality of product is poor! It is not one of China's better efforts! When attaching leg the thin plastic cracked and broke and I was forced to super glue that leg to the log set! Maybe I was expecting at least a little more for the price! If you purchase this product be prepared to repair or replace!

Replacement grates for the BIS 2 (by security chimney) are no longer to be found on their website. I have replaced mine twice in the last 23 years. The purchase price through a warehouse has now risen to >$150. Buy one of these! Then get out your hacksaw. Cut the first bar on each end off.....make the cut even with the second bar on the back side. Also cut the center support even with the second bar. Leave the front full width (creating tabs on the front, that stick out to the left and right) by making the final cut to remove the end bars from the side, just behind the front cross bar. You will find that a little final grinding, or filing, of these two tabs will allow this grate to fit snugly into the ash pan of your BIS. I bought two; one for now and one for 7-8 years in the future when this grate "burns out." Be aware that the measurements listed for the G42 on many websites are simply incorrect. I called customer service a US Stove and got a lady with a wonderful Tennessee accent, who very kindly verified the true dimensions of this grate. This is a must if you are trying to use it for an application like mine. Good luck with your project.

A whole bottle lasts about 4hrs for me. That's a little disappointing for nine bucks a bottle. However, I love my fireplace and the ambience. But I do like how clean this fuel is. Some other brands I've used are really messy. If you've never used a fireplace like these before, this fuel is the way to go, don't get the gel. You'll regret it.

I was looking for a entertainment stand that wasn't too deep for my bedroom. Most stands seem to be 24" or deeper which takes up way too much room. Most TV's now are only about 6" deep or less including the tv base. This fit's perfect and gives me room to walk between the end of my bed and the entertainment stand.

Buy Lyemance Top-Seal Chimney Cap Damper; 9x13

Received fairly promptly form vendor. Installed yesterday, was very simple and straight-forward. Took only 30 minutes and that included banging-out the old, rusted internal damper. Adjust wire-guide bar to center the damper in the opening, checking that the door closes, than just drop down the stainless steel wire and silicon the damper in place. Drill into the mortar brick to attach the wire-guide stop/handle and you are done. Easier than thought! I'm happy. Works great. No more cold air blowing down the chimney.

I bought this for my 8x13 wood burning fireplace chimney tile. I figured it would work even thought the product is 9x13. It did. I was able to install it in about an hour. My only gripe is that I don't feel like the seal is tight enough. The damper closes all the way, but due to it's design, a very small amount of force can break the seal. Overall, I am happy with the damper and would recommend this to anyone looking for a chimney damper. It immediately stopped the draft through the chimney in my house. It is much better than the standard damper that was in my fireplace before.

I previously used this product insead of the $3,000 quote I received from a chimney sweep for a missing damper. Knowledge is power, this is a perfectly good solution and I would recommend it as an improvement rather than a replacement.

Well they are super long, wooden, and really great for roasting marshmellows or hotdogs. Not much more really can be said about a few sticks but they are definitely worth not having to find a wire hanger or use a shaved branch anymore!

I used this product with a bunch of elementary aged children. It worked perfectly for them. When we were finished, we were able to simply throw the sticks into the fire to dispose of them. If you are doing smores with a large group of people (especially children), I recommend using this. They are a bit shorter than most sticks or coat hangers would be, but still function well. You may be standing a little closer to the fire than with alternatives.

First, I'd like to say that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the product. There are a couple neat "recipes" on the packing and I've used these on many occasions over the last few years. However, I get those from my local grocery store 2/$5 and in a week or so, once September is here, they will be reduced to 4/$5. After all, they are just four sticks.

This is the second time I've bought these. We have a big fire pit and it's great to sit outside and watch the beautiful colored flames. The whole family loves it...make sure you've finished roasting the marsh mellows, label says not to cook over the flame.
