The gel fuel is really oddorless. I have the fireplace in my basement just to take the chill out and the heat generated from the gel fuel is nice and warm. Looks just like a gas fireplace, I have a gas fireplace in my living room, I think I like the gel flame better than the flame in the gas stove.

I've only used one so far. The "gel" was practically liquid. It burned fine, but certainly didn't last three hours. It seemed to last more like 90 minutes.

This little guy looks nice, but isn't really what I hoped it would be. I got it so that I could speed up the rate my grill starts without having to buy a glorified hair blower or use a noisy yard blower. It's functional but the amount of air it blows is trivial. It's also too short. Get it as a decoration or use it to frighten cats. 3 stars instead of 2 for the cat fear factor.

Very pretty and worked quite well for a while, but the faux leather is paper thin and wore through fairly soon. You'll need to replace it after a year or two.

I was looking for this item locally but the stores did not have it.

This was ideal. It has a width of about 1.5 inches. The adhesive does stick to anything and that is what I wanted. The fiberglass wool strip does not fall apart and it a little more than an inch thick. I placed the strips of fiberglass wool on the fireplace metal

frame and pushed the frame with the doors onto the brick structure. I sealed the frame to the brick with high heat clear silicone sealer which was available online. It tolerates heat to 500 degrees. No smoke leaks out into the home. I also put in a new damper which I found at Amazon.com and it came in caste iron for the exact size of the original. It slipped into the slot in less than a minute and it has been working fine since weeks. As an after thought, I should mention that I bolted the frame back into the fireplace opening with the old bolts into the same holes. The silicone sealer was just for good measure and I do not like smoke coming into the house.

I ordered this stuff along with some new folding fireplace doors, because Amazon suggested it and I thought it might help seal gaps. This stuff should be required for all door installations; it was easy to cut, not so easy to remove the tape seal, but adhered very well to my new metal doors. It sealed ALL gaps in my masonry fireplace, brick and mortar. If I ever install another set of doors I'll definitely buy another roll of this stuff.

This product worked just as described. I put it around the perimeter of my new fireplace doors to help make them airtight when not in use. One tip for installation: place the self-stick backing about a 1/4 inch in from the outer edge of the door frame so you can't see it once installed. If any insulation is visible, just gently poke it in and you won't see it. I had just a tad left over from my project, so just the right amount.

This product was exactly what we needed for my son's apartment so that he could store all of his electronic equipment in a more organized manner. It is very sturdy, but had several nicks and dings, particularly in some of the corners. I realize that is probably a shipping challenge, but it also is a problem with how it is packaged. The color is very dark, probably more black than brown which worked well for our use. The product itself is very good and I'd recommend it. Shipping without damage is the challenge due to the packaging. For the record, the damage was not severe enough that we felt the need to return it, but we did use a black magic marker for some of the repairs. If we had been placing this in a very visible location, it would have been more of a problem.

I originally avoided purchasing the optional blower with my wood stove because the factory model ran more than $100 I figured there were cheaper options online. After several years of looking, there finally are a Chinese factory is knocking out aftermarket fans at about half that price. Unfortunately, that's about all they're worth.

Pros: Installation was a snap (holes lined up reasonably well with the factory holes in the stove).

Cons: Noisy and does a mediocre-at-best job of moving air (air flow is barely noticeable).

Before this, I had a white trash solution of a box fan blowing on the wood stove it was quieter and much more effective. I may have to go back to that route.

The instructions weren't the greatest and it took a little longer than I was expecting to put the shelves up, but once up they are very sturdy and provide space for the smaller items that I keep in my shed like weed killer, empty plant pots, etc. I had some scrap wood laying around to put on the ledges to make the shelves so keep in mind if you don't have the scrap wood you'll have to pick some up. The shelves are six inches deep.

The top shelf doesn't leave much room for anything because the roof slants over top of it so taller items don't fit up there easily. I've opened my shed to find lighter weight items from the shelves on the floor; it seems that wind gets into the shed through the vents and knocks things off of the shelf.

It's a good item for the price.

I just ordered this to sprinkle with some artic white glass over the "clear" glass that we purchased with the gas fireplace insert. The clear glass looked like automobile windshield glass broken up, not the snowbank look I wanted. I added the white and then sprinkled this platinum on top and it is so beautiful. Perfect. We purchased this Skytech controller to replace an Ambient unit that had shorted out after only five years use. Originally, we'd planned to replace the unit with the same brand, but Ambient was double the price (?) and as we couldn't order directly from Amazon, but were redirected to the Ambient site, they wanted us to pay somewhere around $11 for shipping.

So, not seeing that there was any additional value for the extra money, we decided to give the Skytech controller a try. Voila! It works like a charm, and unlike our previous Ambient unit, was very easy to set and control. One thing though, don't try to install this if you're not qualified to do so. My hubby is a master electrician, so this was a no-brainer for him. But for a person with no experience, please ask for help. (Safety first!)

The unit is really basic, with only an On-Auto-Off Switch and the remote control also has only On-Off-Timer-Set on its face. In a world where we are inundated with fancy gadgetry, it's nice to see a simple way to warm yourself by the fire. Buy it!

Finally, the Chinese did something right. Most Chinese products are s***ty crappy quality. But not this one. This fireplace mantle is beautiful and elegant. (Compliments my Michael Amini Lavelle Blanc furniture perfectly.) Strong, sturdy and soooooo easy to assemble. BUT THAT'S NOT ALL FOLKS!!!....I REALLY GOT LUCKY!!!!! The "FIRE" is thee most realistic I've seen yet with so many variations like interior lighting aglow in the fire chamber, brick siding, red amber burning logs that pulse the fire-light intensities and a shaded mirror in the back of the fire chamber to double the effect of it all. I still can't figure out the mirror in the back and how the brick reflection works...it's like fricken MAGIC...YEAH, LIKE "SMOKE AND MIRRORS"...LOL. It has a washable air-filter. It is virtually soundless when on. The only noise I can hear is if I turn the heater on, simultaneously with the fire, the air blows...very quietly. The only thing I regret is that I wish I had bought my living room electric fireplace from this manufacturer. Someone put alot of design and engineering time into this unit...BRAVO!! These brackets are a good idea for stacking fire wood. You need OVERSIZE 2x4's for a good fit and stability.

Oversize lumber is hard to get, Home Depot and other lumber outlets here do not have oversize lumber.

Consequently, I had to shim and put spacers in the gaps that result in using regular 2x4's. I also used lag bolts throughout and also bolted cross pieces on the uprights that hold the wood. This gives better stability and strength. Since my stack was over 7 feet long, I put a couple of 3 inck cement blocks under the runners to support the weight of the wood.

I am pleased with the final result, but disappointed that the project was so much work due in part to brackets that did not fit my lumber well.

I've built three racks with this product, and am in the process of building 5 more. With six Wolmanized (chemically treated to resist rot and insects) 2x4's (about $9), a few lag bolts ($6), a hand saw and an electric drill, you can create a rack that will take years of abuse and hold an amazing amount of firewood. Time to build a rack...less than 30 minutes!

I like these brackets but they are in principal just assembly helpers. I made a scaffold using them and for this purpose they worked well for me. By using the brackets I will be able to take apart the scaffold and re-assemble it easily. I used Kreg wood screws to assemble and added robust cross bracing and OSB decking so the stability issue was resolved. Without cross bracing the stability of the assembly was poor. Also the holding power of the Kreg screws and the easy disassembly they make possible are the key factor in making my project possible. If all you need is a static assembly to hold firewood then spend the money on treated 4 by 4's, 2X6's and bolts and forget the brackets.

They do what is advertised and make a sturdy rack. Because you cut the wood, you can customize the size exactly to your needs. That's great. The price is an added plus, since you can make a large log rack for about $25, including the lumber.

However, there are a couple of things that prevent a better rating:

1) The holes on each bracket line up with each other. That means that when you pound nails in from each side, the nails hit or come very close. That leads to splitting of the board.

2) The directions don't mention pre-drilling holes. Pre-drilling would probably help the first problem, although still would not solve it. The company should offset the holes a bit to correct this flaw.
