This looked like a quality product when I reviewed it on Amazon but when it was delivered i was disappointed. The box it came in was damaged and looked like not just from this delivery. It was scratched and damaged as if it had been removed and then reboxed by the amount of tape on the box. I will not order anymore furniture from Amazon as this piece now is in my Living Room and looks like I bought it at a yard sale.

I've ordered this same product 3 different times. Each time the packaging appeared like it went through a meat grinder. Each time I inspected the product, there was always broken pieces. I finally kept the last shipment and fixed/glued the broken parts myself. You get what you pay for.....

We couldn't be happier with our new fireplace screen. It is beautiful and so easy to use simply open the doors to add logs or moves things around, not like the archaic heavy screens that you need to lift to one side. It fits our mantle perfectly and has become a lovely accent to our living room. This was a great purchase, pretty much sight-unseen and we are VERY happy with it. This is a beautiful fire screen as well as being very functional. We purchased this product because we took down our gate that surrounded our fireplace but still needed a cover just where the fire logs are. We have a 4 year old that we worried she would fall into the fire or touch the logs. The doors make it super easy to start the fire without having to reach over the screen. We are very pleases with this purchase.

Haven't had the fireplace on yet but they look good sitting there. Only negative comment is they are much darker than the picture, they are very dark and the color is pretty uniform.

This piece went in a non heated entertainment room in the basement. Building took some time but overall not that complicated. The heat is not mind blowing, but quickly heats up the room and maintains it as a comfortable temperature in low settings.

The item was smaller than it appeared (yes I read the measurements). It's all press board. About 10% of the holes were not totally complete or slightly off center. The door panels have clear plastic not glass. The fire looks far less realistic than hoped. The fan is a bit noisy. Basically it is worth about $125 at best (being generous). I would not recommend this product.

This stand arrived yesterday, one or two days earlier than expected and just in time to put it together before the new LCD TV arrived. I've been assembling furniture, from book cases to office desks, since my college days, many decades ago. This unit is simply the easiest to assemble of any of them including the units from Denmark and Sweden. No special connectors, just dowels and screws. All holes are pre-drilled and the dowel holes are just the right size with no hammering needed. Even the large back panel uses small screws rather than the tiny nails or brads that are usually used. The whole thing went together using just a Phillips screwdriver, and from unpacking through assembling to hauling out the empty box took 45 minutes tops. The finish is excellent and the color is prefect for our living room.

We decided to go with darker accents in our living room. I wanted to replace an old oak colored particle board unit. I found this and read the reviews. I decided to go for it. I would start off with that the other reviewer was correct. This is a very shallow unit, and the inner sliding door takes up approx. 3/4" on both sides. Measure your electronics INCLUDING THE CABLES that come out of the rear. My modern electronics weren't a problem, but my old cable box was a pain. Otherwise this is a superior unit. The workmanship is excellent! The only problem was the dowel holes were wider than the dowels. Other than that, it was the easiest piece I have ever assembled, and GLORY BE no turn lock Fasteners!! It is a mix of hard wood and particle board. Only a few parts are particle, and they are very strong and dense. The finish is perfect, and is exactly what we were looking for. Also it is surprisingly light compared the one it replaced. (Particle board is way heavier than real wood). Overall I am extremely pleased with this unit. I would have given it 4.5 stars if it was possible. The Only reasons are the depth and the dowels. If I could speak with the manufacturer, I would ask: WOULD 5 MORE INCHES HAVE KILLED YOU? P.S. This unit was made in Vietnam NOT China like the matching media tower also from SEI. (It was junk compared to this)

The piece went together easily and looked perfect in our den. However, I then cleaned up some saw dust thinking it was from its construction---only to discover more saw dust in the evening and, again the next day. We have a piece that came with WOOD BEARING BEETLES!!! What a PAIN! I would like Amazon to replace the item for free. Think about what a customer would have to do to return this item! It looked nice but, who wouldv'e known it was full of bugs by looking at it! I hope Amazon steps up to the plate for their customer!

I was afraid the furniture might not live up to the pictures. I was relieved when it turned out to be a very heavy hardwood product with a beautiful modern stain. The only part that looks less than top quality is the bevel around the top surface. It is a solid resin with no wood grain. Still, several months after owning it, the piece looks just as good as new, no worn corners or anything.

The item arrived ahead of schedule and was easy enough to assemble. It took me well over half an hour, but there was nothing difficult about it. The glass and everything were packed very carefully and nothing was broken. I think they also included a few spare screws and parts, so that's always nice.

All told, this is a fantastic product at a terrific price which beats the equivalent item (Durham Media Stand, $400) at World Market. It is the perfect size for my 46" flatscreen HDTV, BluRay player, and compact stereo system (including speakers, on their sides). Five stars.

The console came with a small damaged section in the shipping box but it was well packaged and had no problems. I was able to put the entire console together by myself in about 30 minutes. The look was exactly as presented online.

I do recommend that you measure your entertainment equipment before purchasing. I didn't measure first but knew that I was going to buy a new stereo receiver (my biggest component) so I wasn't too concerned about it. Once I got it, I soon realized that the old receiver wasn't going to fit. I then went online and started searching for my new receiver only to find that most receivers won't fit into the console. I finally found one but will still need to cut out a portion of the back to have enough room for the wires.

The Canadian-built blower that we received is well constructed. The assembly came pre-wired and installed promptly. It is efficient. In testing with an infrared temp gun, we find that the heat now directed into the livingroom area is substantially higher. Heat dissipating into the mantle and walls surrounding the gas-log 39" Majestic fireplace went down substantially. This means the heat is going into the room instead of super-heating the wall around the fireplace. We feel safer, warmer and are able to use the gas-log fireplace efficiently. With an overhead fan in the room and a well-insulated home, on a sub-freezing night we can heat most of the house to 71-degrees F without the forced air furnace running. This enables us to enjoy the gas-log fireplace as a utility item and not just a cosmetic device. Some complain of the noise, but our unit came with sturdy attachment magnets that allow firm mounting. If set up squarely against the rear wall and floor as recommended, vibration and resonating noise can be minimized. We removed the original Velcro strips to fit the fan unit firmly against the sheet metal. If you get a unit like ours, with the motor pre-wired and magnet mounting, you should be happy. Yes, the unit does make noise, so expect to turn up the television volume! The blower models with adjustable speed might provide quieter operation at lower speeds. Our unit did not come with any instructions. It would be helpful to many if there were details included on how to position the blower unit.

I recieved a quote fron the original fireplace installer of $170.00 for blower.He said that was what majestic quoted him.I checked amazon and found it for $100.00 including shipping,I managed to install it myself and saved probably over $100.00.

I am very glad that I bought this blower. It works just like they said it would and has a little noise but not really that loud. I would not expect that it would be completely silent. It has the magnets on the back and sides which makes it easy to install. I also bought a Thermal Switch so it goes on when the fireplace it hot and goes off when it has cooled down so you don't waist any heat and don't have to worry about turning it on or off.

We have an old coal fireplace which is only 8" deep. We could not find any type of gas flame logs that would fit at all. This product installed easily and fit almost perfectly into the space. We still get the look of a fire and additional heat. The heater aspect of it has a high & low setting and is very quiet. Last summer I had our wood burning medal fireplace chimney removed and the fireplace capped. This left our fireplace useless. I looked at gas inserts and gas logs but didnt like the way they looked or they wouldn't fit. Then I saw this Dimplex electric in a furniture store. I was amazed how real it looked. I ordered it.It only took 3 days to come. Took it out of the box and put it in the fireplace opening and had it going in 20 minutes. It looks far better than any gas unit. I love the look and feel of fireplaces, but they are very rare in South Florida, where I live. An artificial fireplace was the answer for me. I bought this insert to replace a unit that burned gel cans in a freestanding fireplace. This electric unit is beautiful! I like it so much more than the gel can type. This unit has a very realistic look. The logs are "real" (3-dimensional), not painted onto a screen like some others I've seen. The embers seem like they are really glowing and the "flames" dance realistically. And it is nice to be able to use it without heat if you wish. I highly recommend this fireplace insert.

I bought two of these inserts to fill fireplaces that have been capped off in an old house. The cords are very short & per the safety instructions you can't use extension cords to reach an outlet. The units look nice and provide ambience when it is dark. During the day they look exactly like what they are, fake. They do not put out any significant amount of heat. I tried to use it in my 6x4 hallway last week to take the chill off in the morning. It took three hours to raise that small room 10 degrees.

Bottom line-if you are buying them just for decoration, great, you'll like them. If you want them to function as heaters, these are not for you.

This very real looking fireplace fits nicely into my fireplace opening. My cats like to sit around it so even they are fooled. My only issue is that the heating element is at the top of the unit. I was hoping it would be at the bottom. So the heat it gives off is not as much as I would have liked.
