I haven't used the rug yet, but I wanted to note that the rug is a beige color. The description calls it "pebble," but it looks green in the picture (my monitor is high quality, and color accurate). So if you want a greenish rug, don't buy it. The beige color is nice, and pretty neutral, so I still may use it, but it's not what I thought I was getting

We searched different places for a REASONABLE priced hearth rug. Every one we found were either too large or way o'priced. After all it will likely get some burned spots from sparks.

Found this on Amazon, just what we wanted and the quality is very good for the $$$. Similar to one we used to have and sized right.

Bacova Guild has great "stuff" at reasonable cost. We purchased a Bacova Guild mailbox with overlay scene 30 years ago and it still looks good-some weathering but the pattern is still very visible. So we weren't hesitant to order the rug.

I wanted a hearth rug I could use to keep dirt off the grout of our stone hearth when we build or stoke a fire. This rug is just the right size to fit our needs. I was somewhat concerned about the color; it looks green on the Amazon site, and while light green would have worked, beige is much better. FYI: The picture is incorrect, the hearth rug is beige. Not only do I like the color, I also found this hearth rug to be the most affordable as well as one of the better looking options.

The American Eagle fire back works as expected. It does seem to throw a bit more heat out than without it. I mainly wanted to protect the back of my fireplace and this worked great for that. I measured the fireplace before hand and found that this fire back would fit perfectly and it did.

I was looking on and off for a few years. Originally, I was finding fire backs in the $250-$450 range. This I was not willing to spend. I bought this item for $157 and I can't be happier. I would definitely make this purchase again.

In addition to being totally functional piece added to my fireplace this cast-iron Black American Eagle Fire Back is attractive and it's great deal of character and atmosphere. Initially I wasn't so sure that you would be able to view the Eagle as well as you actually can. The craftsmanship is solid and I would recommend this to anybody that wanted to enhance their fireplace.

We took a chance ordering this online, having never seen it "in person".

My husband had no trouble putting it together and it looks very nice installed.

Quality seems quite nice. The glass doors open like cabinet doors and the screen doors also open like cabinet doors.

(On our old brass fireplace doors, you had to push the screen back on a track and it was never a smooth operation.

They gathered on the track, much like a curtain, and collected dust. Just nasty.)

The screens on this door set are very nice.

Our style is more traditional and this fits in nicely without looking dated.

I installed this door on my fireplace last weekend and have been extremely satisfied with my purchase. The exterior face and hearth of my fireplace has black/white swirled marble so I was looking for something other then the typical bright brass doors. After looking around for awhile I came upon this on Amazon and took a chance since the price was about half of what I expected to pay. The doors installed very easy (took me about a hour) and it absolutely tranformed the look of the fireplace. Prior to installing these doors we had just a fire screen so I was always very reluctant to use the fireplace due to a concern for losing warm air all night with the flue left open. After installing these doors I was able to close up the fireplace (once the fire died down)and not be nearly as concerned with wasting money up the chimney. We only use the fireplace for aestetics (verses home heating) so these fireplace doors made my fireplace much more functional and the doors look great. The quality of material was reasonably good as well. Doors and glass hange straight and have a solid feel. One installation tip is to use some of the fiberglass insulation that comes with the doors to help seal around the outer edges of the screen to get a good tight fit against the front face of the fireplace. I tucked this in with a butter knife so nothing shows. It would have been helpful if the manufacturer provided an extra quantity of insulation for this purpose. It mentions in the instructions that more fiberglass "can be purchased at your local hardware store" REALLY? A few pennies more of extra fiberglass would have been helpful. Other then that slight anoyance I'm very happy with this purchase.

I really like the Pleasant Hearth doors for our fireplace. Easy installation and looks nice. Good quality for price however when you read warning to NOT BURN WITH DOORS CLOSED you had better heed the warning. I read the pros and cons on open and closed door burning and the reason we bought doors was to slow down the burning process which it did.......for one whole afternoon. That evening with a medium/small fire going we heard a small explosion in the living room and came in to see one of the doors had exploded onto the hearth into small pieces. So the glass is not heat proof. I ordered 2 new pieces of heat resistant glass and got a pop rivet gun and installed them and so far so good.

This was a Christmas gift for my husband. He liked the concept. Kept a lot of dirt off the hearth. However, after six weeks it started getting holes in the bottom. We take the bag to the wood pile, load it, and bring it back where it is placed on the hearth. There is no heavy duty wear and tear. There is minimal rubbing on the bottom. This item will not last the season.

This is a nice-looking tote but it's made of lightweight, floppy fabric that I found best for occasional use. Pros: nice straps, very pretty, great idea.

We are very heavy wood users and I wouldn't recommend it for every day go with something stiffer, a heavy canvas, if you're looking for heavy and regular use. I was hoping from the pictures that it would stand up on its own so you could load wood into it when it's open, but it just flops in on itself it can't stand up on its own and I find it annoying to load, more like trying to stuff wood into a bag than stacking it in a "carrying tote."

Because this one had enclosed sides, I ordered it and received it the next day (always great shipping from Amazon!) While the material is not as sturdy as the one I lost, I believe this one will last for quite a few years. I LOVE that the mess stays contained in the carrier. For the price, this is an excellent value.

This is not so much a product endorsement as a testimony to genius. Can you wrap your newspaper tightly enough to burn for an hour or more? I don't think you can. But this can. Can you think of a gift more appropriate for earth-conscious senior citizens with lots of time on their hands, but no way to get to the store for Presto Logs or some other unholy pressed substance to stick in their fireplace on a cold and wintry night? I defy you to produce anything so fitting as this singular invention.

The only expensive part is the switch you push your leg up against for variable speed control and those ain't that expensive. Anyone can build a wooden jig to hold the drill in place and press the trigger that controls the drill.

The drill bit attachment is obviously a drill bit centered with epoxy or some other putty type medium and two rods coming out the other end. You painted them pink. As you did the wooden Jig for the switch and the jig for the drill itself. I would say at tops you have $10 to $15 worth of materials. To me this is not even a invention. It is just jigs anyone and his kids can make. It must have cost a fortune for those two new water hose clamps? You don't even include the main part to the product, the drill itself. That is the largest expense.

I would have used a electric motor on a platform with a half tube large 4" PVC type sewage pipe and have those rods attached on the motor and make it look somewhat like the log rollers with the hand cranks on them and have a long bar roller on top spring loaded to keep the newspaper tight and feed paper like you did. For that matter just buy a hand crank one and save electricity.

For that matter just make a attachment to the crank rollers already on the market where they have a pressure roller coming down from above to keep the log nice and tight as you feed and crank. Your deal here is not a patent, it is a jury rig log roller with a drill and jigs.

Now since I gave everyone the idea of how to change existing log rollers more than 5% to be patented I would appreciate at least 10% of the profit you make with your patent? That is if you do it.

What I learned with tight paper logs rolls is that unless you already have a fire going with some good hot burning wood those paper logs do not burn easily. You need something in it to give it more combustibility like lent form your dryer lent trap in-between the pieces of compressed paper. Or even candle wax mixed into the paper. Have your kids take crayons and draw all over the paper first then roll it up. That will work? :) What you have here is a joke and a rip off though.

I bought this from Wal-Mart and am happy I did. It is small, so look at the dimensions carefully. But, I do enjoy sitting on the couch and having the flames twinkling out of the corner of my eye, or even staring at the thing is nice to do. It is fairly well made, and it does put out some heat. Not enough heat to take the place of a house heater, but on a really cold day it is nice to have it on. I have turned on the fireplace many times without the heat since I live in the south, and enjoy being able to do that. It really "warms up" the feel of the room. Another good thing is I have cats and am terrified of space heaters that they might get their little furry tails into, and this one seems safe to me from that perspective.

This is a very nice stove. The stove is very heavy, with solid construction. The pewter finish is a beautiful dark grey and the accents are very nice. The stove warms a room quickly and the flame is fairly realistic in a darkened room. Dimplex units have patented flame technology that uses a reflection of the logs to make it look like the fire is between two logs. There are glowing embers at the base. The logs themselves do not glow as they do in more expensive dimplex units. On the back of the unit, there is an adjustable thermostat knob, a heat on/off switch, and a fireplace on/off/remote toggle switch. This is quite a solid piece, much more so than the units I have seen in home stores and the flame effect is much more pleasing to the eye.

This is actually a large unit as electric stoves go which is one of the reasons I chose this model. There are multiple dimplex models that look similar and can be found on the dimplex website. I think the amazon price of $220 is very good as the MSRP is $499 and it is listed for $440 on the Lowes website. I could not find this model stove for sale on Walmart's website (as reported by another reviewer) at the time of this review.

This is our third electric fireplace/stove and our second Dimplex. If you are in the market for an electric fireplace because you want to add a cozy fireplace to a room without the expense of installing a real fireplace, I highly recommend dimplex. While you can usually find flame effect videos online, it is worth looking at the flames in the store to see the difference between the dimplex effect and others. If you are buying this for heat and simply the design of the unit then there are many options available, but the flame effect on a dimplex unit is much more realistic in my opinion.

When we opened the box, found that the legs were broken. I called Dimplex, the manufacturer (per shipping instructions) and they indicated that they would send replacement parts. We should have within 5-7 working days. Have not received yet so I called. Now they are saying they do not stock the parts and therefore I have to send back to the retailer to get a new unit. They were going to call me to let me know, but have not had the time. They are too busy with other phone calls. Makes me wonder about the product....

We live...out. I bought this damper to try and keep as much skunk smell as possible from getting into the house at night, since the damper isn't as tight as it should be. Seems to have helped and installation was simple. If your chimney damper isn't working properly, or if you just want a little added insulation, even against smells, this helped our situation.

Living in the Chicago area I found that I was getting a lot of drafts from my fireplace , I decided to try this external flue to help stop the wind from coming down the chimney . Being the original flue in the fireplace is right at the inside opening this allows the wind to come down the stack , but this external flue stops that wind at the point of entry, the top of the chimney . I think this is a great product and it does a great job at stopping the drafts.

It didn't take me long to get this installed which was the good part, but it didn't create a tight enough seal to stop the issues I was having with drafting. Why my house does it, I don't know. But even with the damper installed and my lower damper closed I was still getting the soot smell I was trying to stop from coming into the house. I taped a trash bag over the fireplace opening to see if it was still "breathing" and the trash bag was still blowing in and out considerably.

Will it work for you? Maybe, but it wasn't worth the cost for me.

We wanted a simple stove to heat approx 1000 sq ft. This stove works very well, at times, too well! Husband installed w/o much trouble. Pressed logs work great with this stove making burn times longer thru the night. Depending on wood used and temps outside, it may be necessary to stoke during the overnite hours. This is our main source of heat and it does the job.

So after a long wait we finally got our wood stove. All the weld seams are half ass, the distance that the instruction want this stove is also ridicules33" from any wall? Pretty disappointed all in all.
