I bought the mini fire set because my fireplace has a wood stove inset. They are the perfect size for cleaning and arranging logs in the wood stove. The set is very durable and practical. I really find the shovel and poker are very useful tools, but the log lifter is tad bit awkward to use with heavy, large diameter logs. The brush is a good size and angle, but the only problem I have is the bristles were permanently bent on one side--still works though. I'm pleased with my purchase.

I got this set to use with a wood burning stove. The set is probably too small to use with a fireplace, but is a good size for the stove. The pieces are made of thick, sturdy metal rather than being flimsy like a lot of fireplace tools are.

The quality of this item was disappointing. Originally listed at $500 and discounted to just over $100, this sort of pricing would imply a higher quality fireplace accessory. Unfortunately, this was not the case. A google search of this item offers up retailers selling it at approximately $85.

The frame of the piece was warped and difficult to assemble due to having been warped. I managed to do so after working on it for nearly an hour. Because the frame is uneven a shim is required to keep it still. Additionally, the directions included with this item were for a different version of this item.

While it looks nice, I'm guessing a better quality piece of furniture can be found elsewhere.

This wood holder is strong and sturdy. I can stack enough wood for two night fires, plus there is a shelf at the very bottom where I can add newspaper or the little logs to help lite the fires. Makes it look neat andorganized. It added great decoration to the livingroom. I like having the wood holder and tools all-in-one so that I dont have clutter in my livingroom.

Mine is assembled and holding a decent sized stack of wood. I got this model because I have a small amount of space adjacent to my stove, and I had lost the stand for hanging the tools.

While not really difficult to assemble, my package arrive with no diagram for assembly. I had to look at the picture on this amazon page to see which direction the leg braces mounted. The nuts and bolts are extremely cheap, and it would not take much to strip the screw head. It is best to use a screwdriver to hold the head, and turn the bolt carefully with a 10mm wrench. The bolts are just long enough to get the nut on, and sometimes you have to press the bars together to get them close enough for the bolt to catch.

The shelf is a mysteryit does not attach to anything, it just rests there, and has a mysterious single hole that serves no purpose.

All in all, this is way overpriced for what you getit is really about $30-$40 worth of parts. I looked at a bunch of these on Amazonmost seem to be priced high, and if I lived in a town with a decent sized hardware store, I'd shop there first.

The broom fell apart within a month. It is sturdy enough, easy to assemble, but craftsmanship is lacking. Probably pass on this one.

First, in the "Technical details" section, it says "Large size dimensions: 36-43-Inch width of firebox opening and 22.5-32.5-Inch height of firebox opening ....". my firebox opening is 36 by 25, it should fit well. Actually, the height description should be 25.5-30.5-Inch.

Second, I follow other reviewer's suggestion and look at the owner's manual on line. The owner's manual says: Large, fits open 25.5"-32.5"*. Note there is a start (*) at end. Then looking at the note: *Height includes a 2" riser bar (not assembled). Ok, if we don't use the riser bar, it should be 23.5"-30.5", right ? Wrong. The correct description should be 25.5" 30.5" without riser bar. If include riser bar, it should be 27.5"32.5".

My fireplace open is 25"-36". The small size should fit. But if I use small size, the two side will be covering 3/4" of the wall only. Not only it won't insulate well, but also almost the entire 3" insulation will expose to the fire. The medium size is taking the width of a small screen and the height of the large screen, it is not really a medium size between small and large. It is a short cut to introduce a medium size without investing in factory for true medium size. However, I will be happy if they have a second choice of medium size which takes the width of a large screen and height of a small screen.

Looks great. Easy to install, only problem I had with the installation was the bottom thumb screws were a little short, they should be the same length as the top ones. I only could get one on the bottom secured, but that seems to be enough. The door is pretty solid. I like the way the door opens and also the screen is a door rather than a mesh screen, that you have to pull back and forth. I have received many compliments on it from friends.

I am using this for a refrigerator based smoker out of an old 1940's GE fridge.

I attached it to the door and front frame by using RTV high temp silicone and it seems to be working.

it looks thick in the picture but is only about 1/8" thick and not hollow or a tube type seal. it bends in the corners while laying flat to install.

good value for the money.

This is not so much a product endorsement as a testimony to genius. Can you wrap your newspaper tightly enough to burn for an hour or more? I don't think you can. But this can. Can you think of a gift more appropriate for earth-conscious senior citizens with lots of time on their hands, but no way to get to the store for Presto Logs or some other unholy pressed substance to stick in their fireplace on a cold and wintry night? I defy you to produce anything so fitting as this singular invention.

Get the Spin-a-Log. Thank me later. Your fireplace, your home, your very world will never be the same.

The only expensive part is the switch you push your leg up against for variable speed control and those ain't that expensive. Anyone can build a wooden jig to hold the drill in place and press the trigger that controls the drill.

The drill bit attachment is obviously a drill bit centered with epoxy or some other putty type medium and two rods coming out the other end. You painted them pink. As you did the wooden Jig for the switch and the jig for the drill itself. I would say at tops you have $10 to $15 worth of materials. To me this is not even a invention. It is just jigs anyone and his kids can make. It must have cost a fortune for those two new water hose clamps? You don't even include the main part to the product, the drill itself. That is the largest expense.

I would have used a electric motor on a platform with a half tube large 4" PVC type sewage pipe and have those rods attached on the motor and make it look somewhat like the log rollers with the hand cranks on them and have a long bar roller on top spring loaded to keep the newspaper tight and feed paper like you did. For that matter just buy a hand crank one and save electricity.

For that matter just make a attachment to the crank rollers already on the market where they have a pressure roller coming down from above to keep the log nice and tight as you feed and crank. Your deal here is not a patent, it is a jury rig log roller with a drill and jigs.

Now since I gave everyone the idea of how to change existing log rollers more than 5% to be patented I would appreciate at least 10% of the profit you make with your patent? That is if you do it.

What I learned with tight paper logs rolls is that unless you already have a fire going with some good hot burning wood those paper logs do not burn easily. You need something in it to give it more combustibility like lent form your dryer lent trap in-between the pieces of compressed paper. Or even candle wax mixed into the paper. Have your kids take crayons and draw all over the paper first then roll it up. That will work? :) What you have here is a joke and a rip off though.

If your fireplace opening is 36 inches tall, it would be great. The accurate dimensions are 34.5" tall X 29.75" wide. I needed one just the opposite. This one is too tall even for my outdoor fireplace!

Nice little set of little logs. Description forewarns you of the size and number of logs and pieces. Would prefer another "log" rather than the few "pine cones" that came with the set, but other than that, it does a decent job of hiding my small bio-ethanol fire box.
