Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I got this product to use as a floor standing LED fireplace. There were some issues with the packing of this product. The sides of my unit were badly bent on one side making it difficult to assemble the unit. The glass was intact and the bag of rocks was present as well as the remote. However, the mounting screws for the base of the unit were not included and I had to get some from a hardware store. The unit was covered in a thick dust which was more like dirt/sand than dust. It was almost as if the unit had been used, abused and returned.

Distributing the rocks was difficult for me (and there weren't enough)...once you get the rocks in place, you have to put on the glass front. Moving the units can displace the rocks you've so carefully arranged.

When turned on, the fireplace does look nice. Based on its dimensions I put this fireplace in my regular fireplace (it fits perfectly). Some of the LED colors look cheesy but I do like the orange/red mix. Unfortunately the unit doesn't remember your color setting so you have to cycle through the colors each time you turn it on. The remote also has a very limited range and I find myself not even using it.

For heat, there are two 750 watt heaters you can turn on which are essentially forced air heaters. When it gets cold enough to use them I will report back on the heating capability of this fireplace.

Overall I am disappointed in the quality of the packing, the lack of a quality control inspection and the overall condition of the item. I'll also point out that my fireplace was placed in the (manufacturer) box upside down...another quality control issue. I have doubts about the longevity of this item but so far it seems to be holding up well despite being scratched, dented and dirty upon arrival.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is a review of the Frigidaire VWF-10305 Vienna 2-in-1 LED Fireplace. I am totally dismayed by this product. It came shipped to me in a timely manner, but that was the only enjoyable part of this product. When I opened the manufacturer box, the fireplace was held in place with a few bits of broken, crumbling styrofoam, the bag with the rocks was broken open and they were loosely scattered everywhere, the plastic protective sheet for the glass was only applied to half the surface and was wrinkled and scuffed, the metal "ears" that hold the glass to the base unit were bent out of shape, and the remote control was missing. I must have been sent a used/returned product, because I can't believe that a new unit would have come that shoddily packaged, damaged, and with missing parts.

It gets worse. I have tried contacting the customer service department as instructed on the included paperwork to try to obtain a replacement remote for the one that was missing, but all three attempts so far have been fruitless. I can only conclude that my unanswered requests for customer support means that they do not care to support their product, nor do they want my business in the future.

Due to the number of problems encountered with this product and lack of support from the company, I cannot in good faith recommend this product to anyone. I would suggest looking for a different brand than Fridigaire / R&D Group LLC.

The Frigidaire "Vienna" Color Changing LED Fireplace measures 35.4" x 5.9" x 22" (90 cm x 15 cm x 56 cm). The fireplace stands an additional 1.75" (4.5 cm) off the floor when mounted on the floor stand. The fireplace weighs a hefty 46 pounds which makes moving it around a bit difficult to do on your own but will be sturdy when you set it down in your chosen spot. Brackets and screws for wall mounting are included.

The Vienna comes with manual and remote control capability with a low setting of "750W" and a high setting of "1500W" and heats a small or medium sized room fairly well. The fireplace can be used with or without heat. When operated manually, you can hold the power button down for 3 seconds to operate the automatic color change function. The flames change color every 10 seconds. There is a "Dimmer" button on the remote control that doesn't dim the simulated flame but changes the color(s) of the flame when pressed. It does not have the automatic color change function when using the remote control. There are 4 basic "flame"colors Amber, Red, Green and Blue and 6 combinations of 2. White stones that look like coals are also included and add to the effect.

The instructions are easy to read and assembly was easy too. The front panel is made if glass and only needs to be cleaned on occasion with a soft cloth. The rest of the unit can be cleaned with a soft duster so keeping your unit clean should be a breeze.

The pictures on the box are no way near to what the "flames" look like when in operation. It looks like tissue paper flames being blown by a fan. In different colors. I think the manufacturer is aware of this because the following is printed on the box: "The features displayed on the package of this product are to the best of the knowledge of its manufacturer and can slightly vary in actuality. Style and color may vary." This product was manufactured in China. I don't know if that makes a difference. You will be surprised by the "Stunning Adjustable Flame effect to set the perfect level of brightness" as stated on the box. The colors are strange. Perhaps that is because they are not all typical flame colors. They would be fun if you were having a party! The LED bulb is not replaceable so if it should stop working, it would just operate with it's heat functions.

The fireplace makes a low humming sound which one would expect, however, there is a strange cyclical clicking sound that we think is supposed to simulate the crackling of a fire.

If you have children in the house you may want to rethink this choice since the front panel is made of glass and even when mounted on a wall, it is recommended that it be mounted "2 feet from the bottom of the fireplace relative to the floor" for optimum viewing. The corners of the glass panel are square and not rounded which could pose another hazard.

Assembly:

Assembly was intuitive although the instruction manual could be better. The pictures were hard to see and details very small.

There were not enough pebbles to cover the width of the screen so it looks sparse.

Operations:

I like having the 2 heat settings 750 Watts and 1500 Watts. The vent is angled out for efficiency.

The remote control has 4 buttons: ON/OFF button, 750W, 1500W, and Dimmer

Press the Dimmer button multiple times to cycle through the various colors

Problem: Both the box and the manual say "Adjustable Flame Brightness" however, I could not find a switch or instructions for this feature. I called the Customer Support number but was put on hold for a long time that I gave up.

Product Quality:

Poor the actual flame does not look real at all. Instead of a black background, it is gray in color and it looks totally fake.

For the price, the product is disappointing both in quality and functionality.

I've been an Amazon customer for years and this is my first review of a product. I dont write reviews because I'm almost always happy with my purchases because I do my research before buying. This product was so poor, I just had to write a review. Unfortunately for me, there weren't enough reviews of this item to warn me about its poor quality. In retrospect, I would have expected a better product for the price of this item.

The Bad

This piece of furniture looks really nice in pictures but its really low quality stuff. I would rate this lower in quality than IKEA items. The entire product is laminated composite (pressed) wood material. That in itself is not a bad thing but the pressed wood for this item is softer that other pieces of pressed wood furniture I've dealt with in the past. Therefore, it crumbles easily in the corners and tend to crack or break easier that other similar wood products. What makes this product worthless is the laminate on the wood. The laminate is ultra thin. Over the years, I've dealt with all sorts of laminated wood furniture products but I've never had a product with lamination this thin. It so thin that it chips or peels with ease even when you are careful. You could literally peel the laminate off with your finger nails without too much effort. For example, it chipped while I was moving the DVD player in the shelf the feet of the player with soft felt like stuff is what rubbed off the laminate. Also, one long piece that runs under the top board came shipped with a chip in it that had already peeled back. The other issue I had with this item was that the pre-drilled holes for the drawer handle on the board that makes up the front of the drawer didn't match the spacing on the handle. I had to use a drill to make the holes on the board larger in order to fit the handle. Also, the board that makes up top of the furniture had a 3 inch crack under the lamination but it didn't make it through to the surface. This wasn't a huge deal to me since I was going to place my AV receiver on top which would cover up that spot. Again, this lends to poor overall quality of this product.

The Good

I called the customer service number and they were very professional and courteous. I told them about the one piece that game damaged and they said they would ship me a replacement part in a couple of days via FedEx. The original box was packaged really well. On top, its seems Amazon did a fantastic job putting an outer layer of packaging to protect it during shipping. The instructions were clear but I can see people having issues with some of it. All the parts were neatly packaged and some of the parts had extra pieces in case you lost some while assembling it.

Summary

Overall, I'm really disappointed with this product. It looked like top notch stuff but it turned out to made of really cheap materials. Its great that the company will replace parts that came damaged but it doesn't make up for the poor quality.

This is flat pack furniture all of my comments are with that in mind. You're not buying solid wood from the showroom floor. That being said, it is overall a higher quality than most flat pack furniture I've bought.

Assembly was easy it takes some time, but very little effort and the end product feels solid.

I did have to use customer service for a missing piece, but their customer service (as others have mentioned) are excellent so that was pain free. If their customer service sucked, I would rate this 1 star as I would be screwed without the piece that was missing.

I would buy this from them again. I give it 5 stars because I've never had exceedingly better flat pack furniture.

The item itself is wonderful, we love the tv stand and it looks great in our living room, but we were sorely disappointed by the state it arrived in. One of the boards was broken clean in half. It was just to keep the piece looking cleaner from underneath so we built the unit anyway. We also had to glue one of the drawer pieces togethr so that we could build the drawer appropriately. There were numerous nicks and dings on the wood as well. We were able to cover most of it up with the included pen but overall I was very dissatisfied with the state it arrived in. We bought it in "as new" condition but it was definitely not even close. I will be much more careful the next time I buy from this seller.

As far the piece of furniture goes it has been great so far. We love the look and it fits our 50 inch very well. It has ample storage for our DVDs, PS3, and games. I even got a whole side to store family photo boxes which is great. So if you're looking for a nice product definitely check this one out. Just pay the full price from the retailer instead of the amazon warehouse.

This piece of furniture looks good once all put together but its not made very well. It took approx 3 hours to assemble and there was one piece that came cracked. Thankfully, it wasn't a piece noticeable to the eye. When assembling, there were several times the wood started to split.

Overall, I am happy with it but wondering if it would have been better to buy a piece of furntire already assembled and skip the hassle!!

I really like Duraflame logs, so much so that we don't even bother with real wood fires anymore-it's just not worth the hassle. Of course it's not exactly the same, and you don't get as much heat... But the effect, convenience and price make up for it. I can have a nice full fire burning all night for around $2 and don't have to deal with the wood delivery, storage, splitting anymore.

The only reason I'm lowering the score is the Duraflame Colorlogs just don't have the promised effect. They work and burn just fine, but the colored flames are barely noticeable. To my eye, its just the same orange flame, with only a sliver of blue or purple here and there around the edges.

I would recommend using the normal 4 hour duraflame logs because they last longer-at least 3.5 hours on average. I usually cut the logs in half and use a small amount of starter gel to get them burning faster. The smaller logs still give the same flame height and full burn time--at half the price. I also stick the logs in the middle of a gas-style 'concrete log set' and it looks very similar like a wood fire. We've had more than a few guests surprised that it wasn't.

APOLOGY: To anyone I led astray with my original review, I am very sorry that I said these matches light easily. That was when I first got my order of three boxes, and the first few matches I tried lit beautifully. But a few matches into the first box, I started having trouble getting them to light and my ultimate success rate was very poor. The second box I opened did not contain one single match that lit. I have not opened the third box, yet.

These matches are for ARTWORK ONLY. The matches themselves are not functional. If you want a unique matchbox spice up the decor of your home, these are great. The artwork is really unique. However if you want functional matches, look elsewhere because these do not light when struck. They sputter and spark and then go out. You cannot use them to light candles or anything else.

I am a big believer in the old fashioned "bathroom match", but didn't like having a junky looking box of matches in my powder room. These match boxes are beautiful and really add to the look of any room they are in. I just replaced the nonfunctional matches with ones that actually work and they are fine in the bathroom.

The negatives are that they are very expensive for the amount of matches you get and unfortunately the matches don't light. I had been willing to buy them for the artwork on the box, and refill with cheaper matches when the originals are used up, but when it came I realized that there is only one striking surface on the side of the box (instead of two like on most matchboxes). This means that the box itself has a limited lifespan, and when the striking surface is worn down, the box must be discarded. My plans for reusing the box are not going to work out like I had hoped.

Still, it is pretty and classy looking, and if you can afford SIX DOLLARS for a small box of matches that don't light then I highly reccommend these. I love looking at them and get compliments from guests. It is a quirky addition to my home and I think little details like this are what make a house interesting.

I love my new fireplace entertainment center. It came in two separate boxes, one was the wood and the other the fireplace heater insert. The cherry wood is beautiful, but is a bit dark. When we first assembled it, two of my sons did it within 45 minutes. When done, the front doors didn't fit right. The left front door gapped and the right side didn't fit right at all. Cooperation from the manufacturer was not very good. The manufacturer did not call back when they said they would and I had to keep calling and getting the run around. Also, they wanted me to e-mail them a picture for someone in another department to decide what to do about helping me and I didn't have the camera or the ability to e-mail them a picture. Although the manufacturer had poor service, the seller was great! After I notified the seller of the problem, they immediately sent a replacement unit and that fixed everything. We've been enjoying the unit ever sense. My son seems to think one of the problems with the doors fitting correctly is to make sure the screws are the exact manufacture ones specified to go on the doors and to make sure you get the precise line up for the door and the spot to screw it in at. Anyone having the same problem, should check this. The fireplace entertainment looks so beautiful and makes the room feel so inviting and is nice and warm.

I was looking for an alternative to an expensive gas fireplace insert, and thought this looked like a good option. I first saw it on Amazon, but when I saw a display model in another store I was convinced. I bought on Amazon since they actually had it in stock, whereas you will have to special order other places. This fireplace is well-built; the gauge of the steel is very thick and the doors opened and closed flawlessly without adjustments (there are instructions for how to adjust the doors).

Installation was super easy. You really can install without any tools if you don't use the riser bar, which is a 2" bar that makes the fireplace a bit taller depending on the size of your fireplace. Even that only required a screwdriver and pliers. It is basically attached by clamping to the steel beam that is standard on the inside of a masonry fireplace. The only part of the installation I didn't like was adding the fiberglass insulation, which I did outside to avoid making a mess.

I've used this about 10 times since I've owned it and have been very happy. It really cleans up the room since we don't have to looked at a sooty fireplace when the glass doors are closed. I already bought another one for my other fireplace.

One more note; you have to leave the glass doors open when there is a fire. I think this is true with most fireplaces, but the image is misleading. The doors open 180 degrees so you get a full view of the fire.

These doors look really great and helped keep the "fireplace" smell out of my house. One bit of advice, I could have ordered a medium or large based on the measurements. I ordered a medium but wish I would have ordered a large. If your measurements suggest that you could use one of two sizes, go with the larger size. Fiberglass insulation runs around the interior trim and is only held in place if there are bricks behind the trim. While the medium covered the fireplace opening, the fiberglass would not stay in place because there was no overlap between the brick facade and the door trim.

I'm giving this 2 stars because one of the screen doors was slightly defective. The screen had a 'dent' in it, meaning the screen was improperly sized when it was assembled. I can pop it back and forth one way or the other. It is very subtle because it is black and the room isn't overly bright but it is definitely noticeable. The other screen door is perfect. This isn't the result of a shipping issue, the packaging and delivery was perfect. Other than this complaint, it is well constructed and would have received 5 stars.

I have tried many bells over the years and they all eventually wear out; however, I do recommend that if you purchase a wireless bell, you purchase one which has a plug in Ding Dong.

This GE 19216 has been in use for a couple of months now and works just fine. I was impressed enough with it to buy a second one for my next door neighbor. It was fun opening up their bell and pulling out one of the little plastic thingies to alter the frequency codes so that our bells do not both ring at once.

Installation is simple and the bells work just fine. I cannot determine the distance that the bells can transmit because both installations are well under 50 feet.

I do recommend this product for its quality and ease of installation. Enjoy your Ding Dong!

I had few problems with this product as soon as it arrived. You can not put this door chime to far from the button control/door. It will still work at 15 feet, but not any further in my apartment. Chime switch is inside the button control. So you have to open it(with something really sharp) to switch a chime tone. It was very inconvenient.

To conclude: product works well under some limitations but was not designed with consumer in mind.

I like it. It was fairly easy to install. I prefer the westminster chime and am having a hard time finding another that I like for the back door. Originally purchased it with one button, then bought the lighted button, sold separately on amazon. I think it looks much better. When I first received the alarm and the optional lighted button, I was fairly pleased with it. But after a few weeks it would only ring about one out of every two pushes. As a few more weeks went by, the odds increased to 1 time out of 10 and then eventually zero. I tried moving the chime as close to the button as possible. Even at 8 feet nothing. I dismounted the button and found that it would work at the stupendous range of 2 feet with no obstructions... most of the time. I tried different codes, no effect. I have an MSEE from Caltech, so I know a bit about electronics circuitry. I disassembled the chime and found that the RF circuit is tuned by a tunable slug inductor. In this day and age of digital VCO's and PLL's, I found it hard to believe that the unit would be based on 1960's technology. I found that the button transmitted at 868 MHz. I started tuning the inductor slug in the chime and found a point where I could just barely get 18 feet range. The temperature in my basement where I tuned the chime, was about 63°F. When I moved the chime back upstairs, where the temperature was about 72°F, the range had again dropped to about 2 feet, indicating that a temperature increase of only 9°F had completely mistuned the chime RF circuit again. What a piece of junk!

So if you still insist on buying this unit, be prepared to do the following;

* Buy a temperature controlled chamber so you can keep the chime at a very tightly controlled temperature, probably ±1°F

* Be prepared to mount the chime less than 2 feet away from the button, preferably not obstructed by any object.

* Better yet, mount the chime directly beside the button, outdoors.

* Print up a nice sign to put on your door that says KNOCK LOUDLY

I had a lot of fun playing with the many different sounds and choosing one. I tested the doorbell near the door to make sure that it wasn't too far from the receiver. Then I attached it to the frame next to the door, following the mounting directions, only to find that it suddenly did not work. Looking at the 'troubleshooting' section of the instructions, I learned that it cannot be mounted on metal. You'd think that this important detail would have been in the main part of the instructions, before one is told to mark the location and to drill holes! My home has aluminum siding, and metal trim around all of the doors. My only option was to mount the doorbell onto the door itself, which is made of wood. As far the bell itself goes: the sound is very tinny.)
