I bought this for a friend who loves old-fashioned home accessories and also roosters. It couldn't have been a better choice, and she gets lots of use from it in the winter. This low-tech humidifier looks great on the woodstove, and there is no worry about it breaking down. I'm sure it will outlast us all. Use it for potpourri or just add clear water for humidity. Two. Two. Two products in one!

This isn't nearly as nice as I thought it would be. It looks great in the photo. It's pieced together awkwardly in a visually unappealing way. It's smaller than you think it's going to be. It's really not worth the price -even without the ridiculous shipping fee.

This broke the first time we used it and the handle is too short. Better to use long tongs with top to put out or just let ge gel burn out, does not last about 2 hours. Not happy with purchase

We gave this item as a gift to our son and his wife when they moved to a home with a fireplace. The bellows are attractive and work very well. The long handles keep hands away from sparks.

This is a very attractive set of bellows and looks great by the fireplace. They work adequately, but not as well as others I have. The leather is not a particularly dense grade and allows air to escape through its fabric. Therefore, it does not provide a very strong airflow to the fire. I like them and they're functional, but not the best functioning.

Chimney 81196 Kwik-shot Soot Stopper-36 Sticks Per Case Reviews

The Kwik-shot soot stopper has worked for several years for us. We have a 22' stainless, double-wall chimney and, while we try to burn only seasoned wood, occasionally we hit a run of less-than-perfect wood. The use of this product has eliminated the rental of a lift platform to access the top of the chimney and we have been able to avoid hiring a chimney sweep. We constantly monitor the pipe for any build-up and a quick treatment with the Kwik-shot cures any issues. The only itty-bitty item is that after a cleaning, flecks of ejected soot are evident on the snow on the lawn. That's not a problem, just evidence that the product has worked. Good stuff!

I think it is working. Makes a nice blue color. Not to sure until I sweep the chimney. I am going to chance not cleaning till end of winter. It has almost made it trough the whole season. This is a good thing. I burn all day every day. Haven't had a chimney fire yet. I put one in every week. Well worth the money considering I leave my house with fire going. Will get back in another month.

This product is great for allowing you to stay on top of keeping your chimney clean. I wouldn't totally rely on it as a preventative measure for chimney fires but it is a little extra security in keeping down the build up from winter fires. I always have my chimney professionally cleaned each year and use the cleaning sticks to reduce build up during the fireplace season. Great product!

Having owned three Vermont Casting Defiant catalytic stoves (Yes; I'm a very happy V.C. customer of 30 years), I can state that the STEELCAT is by far the best combustor I've ever owned. It does everything Condar states; Heating up MUCH faster than any of the OEM combustors. We immediately found that we are using less wood due to longer burn time. I waited six weeks before writing this review on it's performance. I hope I ham as pleased a few years from now if it also outlasts the V.C. orginal.

Purchased one of these to replace a crumbling ceramic unit. Seemed like a good idea at the time. At the end of one season, the stove became slugish and I was unable to engage the cat by the end of the season. Just pulled it out and the cells have corroded and disintegrated and completely plugged the unit. Be clear, this is not a creosote plug. Would not recomend this unit to anyone.

...unit is breaking down. The metal fins are crumbling. Under the warranty I can get a replacement for about $100, but why would I want to base upon this performance. I so wanted to by American too. I'm sticking with the ceramic.

Replaced Cat after toooo many years in my Defiant Encore . Felt that I would buy the best that was available . Stove seems to be able to go to the converter earlier and the logs last longer . Will let you know at the end of the season but at this time I am completly happy .

AFTER the season still feel it was worth the price . Worked like I had hoped ,stove worked like new .

Don't buy this one, buy the ceramic catalytic. We went on the reviews and bought the steel catalytic and it crumbled within 3 months. This winter (2011-2012) has been warmer than usual and the stove use has been lighter than in years past. We called Condar and they replaced it with the ceramic catalytic with no problem! We think that Condar is a great company and stands behind their products!
