I chose this TV stand because the company makes several other matching pieces to furnish my new living room. The stand does need to be Fully Assembled, but my boyfriend is very handy, and was able to put it together without too much difficulty. It is solidly made from real wood; one of the reasons I chose it. The color is slightly darker than the pictures indicate; I would call it more of a light walnut than honey brown. It arrived amazingly quickly from PlumStruck, well packed and in beautiful shape. I would highly recommend this item to anyone decorating on a budget. Can't wait to order the other pieces in the set. Only complaint is that the doors that cover the two side shelves are both just slightly misaligned. They are very tight to open and close, but it is hardly noticeable when you look at it

Sturdy, holds a lot for its size. fairly easy to assemble. The only part of the assembly that was not too good was the screws that held the back on. They should have been predrilled and of tougher metal.

I was excited when I finally found something to match our Shaker furniture. But the excitement ended there. When the package arrived the box had rips but nothing that looked like it would damage the product. When I opened it I really believe this was a return that had been resold. The protective wrapping was torn and there were numerous large dents, gashes and nicks in the wood. So I also returned this stand and was going to have them send me another only to find they were out of stock and had no date of when they would be available. It really looked like it could have been a nice item but I read other reviews where people had a very similar experience with this item. To bad I really was disappointed. I will say Amazon was great about the return and issued my refund quickly.

First off, I can't give a review on this other than the shipping process and how Amazon has worked to resolve the issue.

So here is a history of the what's happened to me so far...

I order the product on Deceber 30th and get an estimated shipping date of January 2nd, which comes and goes so I check online and the ship date now shows Janary 4th. Ok, it's right before the weekend so figure I'll take Thursday night and put all my movies and cds from my old entertainment center into boxes, bring up an old rickety bookshelf to put the TV on, have the dvd player and PS3 for my son put on plastic milk crates to keep it the air flowing over them, etc. and I'm really looking forward to finally getting something nice for my TV.

Weeeelll, that's not exactly what happens. When I get home on Friday, the piece hasn't arrived yet, and I notice that it says "there was an exception to the shipping process" in the tracking code, and my package hasn't even left the depot yet in South Carolina (I live in Wisconsin). Well, color me mad, but I'm like problems happen, Amazon has been good to me, yada yada. Well, it's late, but on the move to Illinois so things are good and I should be getting it soon.

Well, the weekend arrives...nothing... I check the package and it's in Illinois, and the ship date has been changed to the 7th (I had signed up for text alerts, by the way, and didn't that, either) so ok. Monday arrives, no package. Ship date is now the 8th and no text or email alerts. Tuesday arrives, no package and tracking number shows package is still in Illinois...huh? Ok, well I guess they feel it will still get here on time...uh, no...Tuesday after work, nothing. Wednesday, nothing. Thursday I get an email (and a text, yay!) stating my package was delivered to the wrong warehouse in Illinois and is already BACK in South Carolina! At this point I'm like what the heck, but I really want this piece so I'm sure they'll get it figured out.

By the end of the day on the 10th, I get a message that package is already being loaded for departure and on its way back to Wisconsin..on the 12th it's in Tennessee, on the 14th it's in Hodgkins Illinois, on the 15th it's in Madison, WI and about 15 minutes from my house. Woohoo! ... and then I get an email (and text) that the package may have been damaged in delivery and to call Amazon if there are any problems. Uh, ok. So you're going to deliver it anyway? Alright, but if it's damaged, you better not charge me to send it back! I guess after the text and email, someone realized it might not be a good idea to deliver a damaged product ,and I get an email and text showing the package is being sent back to shipper.

So at this point, I'm like what do I do now? Does Amazon refund me? Do they ship out another product? I mean, what am I supposed to do, here? Well, they did text me a number to call when my package arrived, so I call it. Any idea what happened next? I get an automated attendant saying that this is no longer the customer service line for Amazon and that I have to go to a web site address, put in my phone number, and then someone will call me back "immediately". Ah, well guess what, I'm at work. I don't have a direct line and I can't get a signal on my cell.

So...I Google the customer support line, call it, and finally get through to someone who says I have to wait until the package comes back to the warehouse, wait a few days to have my money returned to the account, then can do a search for the new product and re-order if I wish. What? Why on earth would you make someone go through all that. You already have my money. Just ask me if it's ok to ship another one. They can see it was never delivered so it's not like I could pull anything on them, and then I don't have to go through all this.

To make a long story short, they won't do that and to my dismay, the price of the item has gone up in price, so if I want to re-order I'm going to have to pay more to get the same item four to six weeks AFTER it was supposed to be delivered.

Amazon, in every other purchase I've had from you, you've been great....in this instance...you've sucked and sucked badly.

The overall quality of this ash dump vent wasn't that great and I was a little disappointed. Lots of flashing on the edge of the casting and also blocking some of the vent slots. Took an hour or so with an angle grinder and various other tools to clean it up a little. Its an item that will be hidden inside the fireplace so overall appearance isn't that important as long as it functions but the quality of this vent just struck me as sloppy.

Wow, I received the rug today and it really exceeded my expectations. It is thick, dense and beautiful. It lays very nicely perfectly fitting the area that I needed a rug. It doesn't move when people walk on it, and I am sure I will be able to vacuum it without it getting stuck in the vacuum (although I havent tried this yet). I wish I could get this in a longer runner size, I would buy a few more. I can tell this will last many years.

I got a Mr. Heater Single unit about 8 years ago as a backup source of heat after hurricane Hugo knocked out our power for three weeks. It is still working fine and has come in real handy during infrequent ice storms and winter power failures.

My dad liked my single a lot so he bought a Mr. Heater Double to heat a big 3 car garage sized shop. He liked it but now thinks that a single would have worked fine as the double gets that big area heated in no time and keeps it really toasty.

My single unit works far better than gas logs to heat up a room. It does make a hissing sound that is not too loud but barely audible. A single will knock the chill off a large room in no time. A tank of propane will last about 30 to 36 continuous hours if you keep it set on low. I think this is a great alternative to other auxilary heat sources like Kerosuns or a fireplace. With an asthmatic child in our family, a kerosene heater is out of the question for us. This burns clean, creates no odor, smoke or soot. There's no maintenance, no wicks or anything like that. You can store it indefinitely untouched and then pull it out and fire it up with no preparation. I will buy another one if mine ever wears out.

I have recommended Mr. Heater to lots of my friends and family and have no reservation about recommending one to you. If you can't decide whether you need a single, double or triple I suggest trying the single first. Then if you aren't happy step up to the double or triple. It is really amazing how much heat a Mr. Heater Single generates!

It is rare to find a really good product that is durable and an excellent value. Mr. Heater is one of those rare finds. They are the Zippo lighter of auxillary space heaters in my opinion.

I live in the South, and in November each year I like to build a temporary enclosure for my deck. Last year I tried to rely on a firepit and electric heater for warmth--big mistake. This year I have the Mr. Heater--big bonus.

I've owned and operated the Mr. Heater for a few days now, and I can tell you that it really puts out the heat. If you're used to plug-in heaters you buy at Wal-Mart, you'll be blown away by the heat this thing puts out. 8,000 BTU's is incredible (that's the lowest setting). There just isn't anything comparable in its class.

I've never used propane before, so I was hesitant (there's just something about all that compressed lethel gas that gives me pause). But, it has been easy.

1. Buy the Mr. Heater and READ the manuel.

2. Go to Home Depot, Lowes, etc. and purchase a 20lb. propane tank. At the time of this writing, it costs about $48 for a filled tank (since you're a first-time buyer).

3. There's a threaded pipe part of the Mr. Heater that you press into the companion pipe on the propane tank; twist the nut on the Mr. Heater into the propane tank. Use a wrench to tighten.

4. On the propane tank is a faucet-like handle that you turn to open the gas flow.

5. Turn the Mr. Heater nob to the Medium dot.

6. Press in the Ignition.

** I recommend checking for leaks by using some soapy water. Please do this--only takes a minute. **

7. Use a match or candle lighter placed with a flame where it says.

8. It will immediately ignite; hold in the ignition for up to 30 seconds and release.

Voila. You've got instant heat--and it's instant! To turn off, just turn the Mr. Heater nob back to Off. Also, very important, it's a good idea to "close" the gas flow from the propane tank, so just turn that faucet to the closed position.

Refills are currently about $17. Just take the tank in, and at Home Depot, the used propane tank is swapped out for one that's already filled.

It's that easy! As one reviewer noted, it's not completely silent. There is a low hiss (from the propane release), but it hasn't bothered me at all. An excellent heater.

We live right on a coastal cliff in Northern California, so cool sea breezes are a way of life. It never gets over about 72 and almost never below about 50 during the day/early evening.

We have a small deck and have looked longingly at the big overhead gas heaters, but rust is such a problem here and the space so small that it wasn't really an option.

We got this heater almost as an experiment to see if a small horizontal unit would let us sit out in the evening, where after sunset it's usually around 55, too cool to sit comfortably.

And it works! The great thing for us is it's small enough to stuff in a wardrobe until needed.

It screws onto a propane bottle quickly (in fact once I've finished barbecuing I just unhook the bottle, drag it over to where we sit and attach the heater to the top.. it all takes about 2 minutes).

The heat is good, but not what you would call particularly radiant, which is to say most of the heat goes straight up, BUT the refector does a good enough job that if we (two of us) sit reasonably close together we for sure get a nice steady warming effect with it on max.

To sum up, it does what it says and is a good option for those who want to warm an area of their porch, but keep in mind it will be a small area unless you have a fairly enclosed space which will stop the heat escaping.

I think a larger refector would do a better job for us though, and if given the chance over I would probably spend a little more to get the same make but with the double reflector.

However this is a great product and I can wholeheartedly recommend it.

The heater works as advertised. I have almost finished my second 20lb propane tank using this heater with no issues. I am located at about 5400 feet above sea level for those with concerns about using it at altitude. I have noticed that on the high setting (it also has low and medium) it tends to produce a slight propane odor. This is most likely due to the lower quantity of oxygen at our altitude, and therefore does not produce a complete burn. However, the medium heat setting works great and gets my 2 car garage comfortably warm in about 30 minutes.

The directions say to not use this as the first fire of the season, so after a few fires I used this one. It seems to do the job. It does make some unusual smells (fumes) that you can smell outside, so I recommend using this in the mid-day while people are not home.

The pit looks great just like in the picture. Sturdy construction and nice attention to detail. It's probably the best pit you can get for the money. However, the main reason why I'm writing this review is not because of the product, but what happened when I ordered. Yeah, I know this is supposed to be a product review, but bear with me.

FedEx had delivered the box in a sorry state. The deliveryman basically gave me a tattered ruin of a box and said sorry. When I opened it all up, the table was missing a leg and the mesh grille top was dented and mangled. Who do I call about this? FedEx? Amazon? Uniflame, or the distributor in Illinois? I decided to call Uniflame first and I'm happy I did. Within three minutes I had ordered new parts for free, and was told to expect them within a few days. The customer service reps were extremely friendly and understanding and trusting of their customers. What a company should be. Thanks!

It's like having a campfire in your yard. I have a wood burning fireplace but the ashes, some smoke, and worrying about the tv have me hesitant to use it much. This firepit for the price is fantastic. The stone edging looks great. I was worried it would be too small, but it fits 3 pieces of wood just fine which is all you need. You COULD put 4 or more but it would be crowded and the fire would probably be too large. Put your feet up, sit a mug on the ledge and enjoy. DO keep some tongs or a poker nearby to keep stirring the wood but that's normal when burning real wood. It went together very easily though I used a 12mm(?) socket wrench instead of the included flat wrench. I have not used the cover while the wood is burning it doesn't look like it will stand up to much heat. But I think it's great for covering once the wood has burned and you have ashes/coals left. My wife and I can't stop talking about it and enjoying it and the kids like it too.

Some details:

The bowl does have a few holes in the bottom for airflow.

There's only 1 bowl so the bottom will get hot. Just watch the kids running around. Wonder if a double bowl would help.

The legs have rubber feet but are not adjustable in height so you have to rotate it until you find all 4 legs are touching the ground at the same time.

The copper accents are little copper squares inlaid in the tile.

The metal is painted and if chipped, might possibly rust.

Assembly is 2 screws for the handle on the cover, 4 cap nuts on each leg (16 total). All use lockwashers.

There's a small circular grill for holding the wood off the bottom (to promote airflow I presume).

I recommend getting a cover that has elastic or buckles. The cover I purchased has both.

I look forward to many evenings in the backyard.

I bought this fire pit as a result of the positive reviews. I have used this fire pit for only one season. I am able to bring it into the cellar so it doesn't sit out in the rain. (although i did purchase a cover for it too) I have had maybe 15-20 fires in it thru the spring and summer and it is slowly coming apart! The tiles are coming loose and then falling off! The material used to keep the tiles together is disintegrating with each use! Pretty soon I am gonna be left with a black shell and a bowl. VERY DISAPPOINTING!

We have enjoyed using the firepit, which is attractive and functional and easy to assemble. The carton arrived somewhat worse for wear, but the parts were all present and undamaged.

The main limitation is that the screen is fairly coarse (roughly 1/4" mesh), so small sparks sometimes rise in the air for some distance, and occasionally land outside the firepit while still glowing.

We have the firepit on our deck, over a fireproof mat, which is in turn on top of some concrete pavers. That is quite enough to keep the deck safe, but the firepit should not be used over bare wood, given how hot the bowl gets. It would probably not set a deck on fire, but it might well scorch it a bit.

This fire pit is the best quality of all the ones I have reviewed and have seen in action. It was so easy to put together. It goes great with the patio set I have. My husband and I enjoy sitting on the deck at night around the fire pit. The only thing I could recommend is that a poker with a lever for easy handling when taking off the screen should be included. You need to keep a oven mitt handy...

Review of Nu-Flame Ardore BioFireplace

This tabletop fireplace is really fun to have. The design is sleek and modern but would fit any decor. When it's burning, it's like having a personal fireplace. Very pretty!!! After much research, I've concluded that it will ONLY burn bio ethanol fuel which can get pricey. I get 4 5 hours of burn from a quart. The cheapest I have found is e-nrg brand which sells for $73.50 for 12 quarts with free shipping. It's carried on Amazon from an outside shipper. That comes out to $6 + change per quart. Since this is not a sizeable source of heat (although it does add a cozy heat in my bedroom) you can burn when you just want the experience. This fireplace is extremely high quality and I can highly recommend it!

This Nu-Flame unit was surprisingly bigger and sturdier than it looked online, works exactly as described, and is very classy looking in our modern eclectic apartment. We love it. If you have a hard time getting the screws in securely when assembling it, there may be some debris or dust in the screwholes. We wiped the screws down with some lubricant and it went together securely without being wobbly. Note: this fireplace is aesthetic it's no good for heat, since the heat is concentrated directly above it and is surprisingly weak. Also, it's hard to find the fuel at short notice (we order it online). If you don't mind those issues, it's a very modern and sleek improvement on candles. We are seriously tempted to try toasting marshmallows on it, but not sure it would be a good idea. :)

Nu-Flame Ardore BioFireplace was just what I expect from the description.My co-op had removed all the gas firelaces, but left the fireplace boxes, most of the mantels and the flues. It is a very good solution for safely restoing the atmoshere of a fireplace without vilolating co-op rules.
