These are the only stocking holders I found that will hold on to a 8 inch mantle or a 2 inch mantle and still hang strait. This does.!!!! Thats what I loved about them. They are really pretty and the quality was great !! I know I will have them for the next 20 years or so.

I thought that these would look nicer than they did. The picture is so cute! It's basically a thick string wrapped around metal with fuzzy balls attached at the ends. I guess from far away tehy will look ok. They are a lot smaller than i had imagined them to be.

I was so disappointed that these candy cane stocking holders didn't work for us :( I was skeptical that they would work because they seem like they would be too precarious hanging on the edge like that. I am surprised to see so many positive reviews but I guess those people had the type of mantle that works with these. My mantle is about 8 inches but squared off, not at an angle like the one shown in the picture. They absolutely did not stay on mine and when I did manage to position them just right they would fall to the left or right so they were flush against the mantle and not sticking out like I thought they should. Then it was a matter of time before they would be hanging in every which way and falling off if you walked to close to them. So I unfortunately have to return them and I never return things. I'm just not willing to part with $20 for a product that simple DOES NOT work. So buyer beware...you may or may not have the type of mantle that will work with these and you risk the chance of having to return them as well.

From the picture above it does look like you get two boxes and it is only one. However it was a prefect gift for my mother-in-law who collects peacock decor. The box really does have a beautiful picure of a peacock on it and matches work just fine!

It is as pretty as it looks however when mine arrived it smelled really bad, like if I were to put it by the fireplace and use it it would catch on fire. When I called the company about the awful smell they told me it is a chemical they use when putting the stained glass together. They said it would go away but I needed to keep this in my porch for a couple of weeks before I could bring it in the house. My other complaint was standing it up. It just opened and you balanced it on its edges. Since it is made of glass just the slightest touch could make it fall and break so I thought it was not practical at all to be used at an active fireplace. I did try it in front of the fireplace before I sent it back and the metal around the glass gets extremely hot which made it very difficult to move when you wanted to add a log to the fireplace and again the fact that it is so delicate made for a hassle. In closing if you have a gas fireplace, and you have no children or pets that can accidently bump into it, I would purchase it but the flames were not seen through the glass as I expected. I sent mine back which they accepted without a hassle.

I've had modern design, glass door wood stoves on and off for 25 years and I've never encountered anything even remotely as good as this stuff for cleaning the soot and creosote off the glass. Even with oven or bar-b-que cleaner, you have to wait for it to dissolve the creosote from the glass, and the fumes are usually pretty nasty. This stuff, you spray it on, and by the time you can unroll some paper towels to wipe it off, the creosote is dissolved. With a little second pass with a Scotch brite sponge and you're good to go. Put a newspaper or something under the door, because this stuff is not foamy, it's liquid, and will drip. No big deal, throw the paper towels and the newspaper in the stove to start your next fire.

I wouldn't use this on a hot stove, but on a warm one, it's fine. It's so thin that it will just evaporate too quickly on a hot stove.

I don't think you want it on your skin, however, or your clothes. As benign as it seems, it has to be pretty caustic to do what it does. Rubber gloves maybe, if you have some.

I have been looking for a nice large electric fireplace for about 2 years under $500. This one came and it is great! It is large enough to make a statement and have a prominent place in the room. The assembly took me about 1.5 hours and was not that difficult -you just need a screwdriver. The heater on the fireplace produces heat immediately and warms a room about 20'x20' nicely. This is a very nice fireplace bought to put in a finished family room in the basement and it looks great. Although it has been very hot this summer, I tried the heater for about 30 minutes and it puts out nice warmth think it will be pefect to keep the room cozy this winter. HOWEVER, beware Amazon advertised this as 12 month free financing and it was not. When I called customer service, they told me that I was at least the 5th person they had talked to that had misunderstood the way that Amazon was advertising the deferred financing.

I really like this little guy. It was easy to assemble. It cranks out some serious heat. So far so good. The only complaint I have about it, is that the grill on the front gets REALLY hot when it's turned on. I guess it makes it more like a real fireplace! :)

I would recommend this fireplace to anyone who is looking to supplement their furnace heat to save on costs. And also for anyone who wants to add a little coziness to any room in their house.

You'd think that making a lighter is pretty straight forward, but sadly the Diamond 14" lighters have a poor design, which leads to total failure after 20 or so uses. The major design flaw is the safety device, and how the trigger interacts with it -There is a feeling of bending plastic making contact with plastic. With most lighters you can feel metal on a striker. The first lighter in the pack was able to produce flame about 12 times, and now I can't even get a spark. I bought these to light a large stove burner and a gas grill, and if you are aiming the lighter at a downward angle, they pretty much don't function at all. You have to aim horizontally or upwards, get flame (if it hasn't died completely yet) and then approach the flame. I had a pair of Scripto's that have served for the past two years and will be throwing these Diamonds in the trash and going back to a lighter that actually functions.

I bought this product with the hope that I would have a candle lighting source for a long time since there were two lighters. Boy, was I wrong. One of the lighters does not work at all. The other needs the strength of Samson to ignite and even then it only works intermittently. I am so disappointed! Neveust say again with this product. I say buyer beware.

First I'll start with how the product arrived from Amazon. When the UPS guy took it off the truck the box was falling apart and the end was ready to split wide open. It made it about 20ft. to my back porch where the end did split open. I guess you could say it made it to where it had to but this thing is heavy and should be in heavier corrugate for the outer pack box.

All parts are porcelain coated or ceramic and are made from heavy gauge steel. Nothing flexes or bends when you pick it up by an edge. Very nice.

Assembly is very easy and can be done with a Phillips head and a 7/16" wrench / socket combination. The bottom is raised which is very nice as it places the fire and the heat off the ground or surface you are placing it on.

Once assembled it is very heavy and awkward to move by yourself so have it in place first or have a helper or two, as I said it's heavy gauge steel coated with porcelain.

Once I had it in place we began using it that night. The one thing that became a bit of a problem was that even though it's larger than most and can accommodate larger pieces of wood.... when you put a piece in, even if it just bumps the side slightly the sides pop open. There is nothing holding the sides on other than 2 slots in the bottom, the top is free to fall outward whenever, it's just the slight angle that holds them there. Would have been nice to see a small latch, magnet or something. What I ended up doing was putting a piece of wire on the sides I don't open often and leaving one side open for loading. That way I can just unhook the wire end and open up for cleaning.

I have had several large fires in this that lasted hours through the night and had the bottom glowing a nice orange. It holds up well without warping at all. Again, very nice.

After I had a fire going for about 3 hours I placed my hand near, then on the bottom metal. Barely warm. This would be very nice if you were placing on a patio or deck as I have not experienced it getting hot at all on the bottom.

The other nice thing is that all sides are removable for loading, toasting marshmallows or cleaning.

Overall I give this 4 stars ONLY because the sides have no latch to keep them from popping open. Be careful when having people sitting around it if this happens as something could spill out. Add a piece of wire or your own latch and it's perfect!

The frame and base of unit is solid and well built. It looks like a Japanese building and looks cool on my cement patio

near a pool. I enjoyed it for five months and yes the screens hold on with only gravity and I live in a non-windy area.

The quality of the screen material is the problem. It is thin gauge screen mess and then painted. After a few

strong fires it will start to rust. Forget the wire brush. The screen material becomes completely brittle in five

months and vaporized into rust dust. All four go pretty much at the same time. Replacement screens are $29.99 and

all you get from their customer service is "I understand" over and over after they only offer to sell you replacements

that will last the same amount of time. No deals, no discounts, no advice on how to keep them lasting longer. So

you got this great solid frame that will likely last years but after shipping, the four replacement screens will cost the

same as buying a complete new unit here at Amazon. Does that make sense? Char-Broil is not a good company.

I've owned two of these. First one lasted about 11 years. It's a great patio fireplace and holds up well. It's the right height and perfect for watching the fire on a cool evening lor letting the kids roast marsh mellows. I would recommend getting the "Deluxe" as it's a bit longer and thus is a better fit for the average size piece of firewood.

If it has any flaw, its the door screens. They rust and can't be replaced. New doors cost as much as the whole unit.

I purchased this fireplace after reading the reviews on other fireplaces. This made the top of my list because of the porcelain finish. It is very durable and will hold up to the weather. The side screens that others are noting as rusting, that is going to happen once any kind of paint is burned off. And you cannot put the porcelain coating on a screen because of the process required. The other reviewers comments about the poor packaging, no kidding! It is terrible! If you purchase one make sure that the package is intact before the carrier leaves so the fasteners are inside so you can assemble the fireplace. I added the picture to show how it looks with wood burning inside the unit.
