I searched and searched for this item and ordered one from a different vendor who sent a similar item but not what I had ordered. Then I ordered one from a second vendor only to be ignored so Amazon canceled the order. Needless to say, I was sceptical when Amazon suggested this, which was exactly what I wanted, at half the price the other orders. It came exactly as pictured and described so I was thrilled! It was easy to put on and looks absolutely beautiful!

First, I ordered a hearth set, with a picture of the tools and log holder. Now the price has been lowered, the picture has been changed, and the description has been changed. Misleading is the kindest word I can think of for it. A more accurate description of that would be unscrupulously taking advantage of people. I want the log holder I ordered.

However, that is not why I gave the tool set two stars. That rating is for the tools alone, not for the dishonesty of the seller. They look nice, but the handles worked properly about the first half dozen uses. Since then, they have come lose every time we use them--and we are very careful with our property and do not have children. They come unscrewed.

I am afraid that the short screw welded to the tool will become stripped by repeated tightening. Unfortunately, the tightening is necessary for the tools to be functional. It is frustrating and unsafe when you are holding a burning log and the tool suddenly turns.

It is hard to find decent-looking, fairly-priced options for fireplace tools. I looked extensively before settling on this set, which at the time cost ninety US and included the log holder. I would advise you to keep looking.

I received the tool set and was very pleased with it but it did not come with Bristol Hearth log holder. I kept waiting for it to ship and never received it. Even the picture that you just sent me to review is of the Bristol Hearth log holder.

I tried to get back on line and it didn't show the Items together anymore, only separate pictures of the items. I'm pretty sure it was for both of them. Would be nice if some one could check this out and get back with me so I could give it a five star.

Wasted hard earned money. This item is too heavy and magnetic force too weak to stick to vents it's inteded for. Tried it on several types of vents, even purchased new vents to accomodate it. It falls off quickly or within a minute and that's w/o any air pressure!

Great idea. Easy to size & fit, but they're just barely magnetic. By itself it would not work with a ceiling-mounted vent -even with vent fully closed the air flow blew the magnetic cover off.

Although other reviews mentioned the lack of magnetic sticking ability, I found they work just fine. My cold air vents have not been painted...other than the factory paint. Perhaps poor results are found if the vents have several coats of paint? In my case, I carefully placed them over the correct size vent, and they stuck. Still sticking..........

I was skeptical based on the reviews, but gave them a try. And these do work in the right application, meaning, for wall mounted RETURNS, not on vents.

I imagine if they are used on vents on walls or certainly on ceilings they will blow right off. But on my wall mounted returns they stay exactly where I put them and the results in the balanced cooling in my home have been great.

Definitely worth a few dollars. Use them in the right application and you will not be disappointed.

This product worked out great. The old electric cord work on the new blower and it fix into the existing place the old one came from. There is Velcro on the back and it is holding it is place. The size is a little smaller then the old one, but this is not a problem. Do not notice any difference in output.

I love this heater, in that it heats the finished section of my basement (approximately 550 square feet) very easily. Better yet, my electric bill doesn't go up much at all. I keep it on the regular setting (even without adjusting the thermostat down) and it will make my basement warm and cozy WITHOUT a big jump in cost. This is comforting to know, because I can virtually run the unit all day without cost concerns. I recommend this electric stove for those who have a medium-sized room to heat, and for those who love a nice accent (log & flames) as well.

The Pleasant Hearth series of fireplace doors are of the highest quality. You will not be disappointed with the weight and quality of this product. They look excellent, too. The installation brackets, on the other hand, leave a lot to be desired. If you have a 4" thick brick fireplace surround, you won't have a problem with the brackets provided. However, if you have a stone surround over the brick, you will not be able to use the brackets provided. The frustrating part is that if the brackets were an inch longer, they would work. I find it shocking that a company dealing with the design and construction of products that are based on standard masonry dimensions which are uniform across the globe would not make the bracket accomodate a 3/4" thick stone surround. Applying a 3/4" stone surround to the front of a fireplace is such a common application, that you would think they would have made accomodations for this. I'm completely dumbfounded, and am left to have to start drilling holes in steel and brick to make this work, but I have to admit that the doors themselves leave nothing to be desired.

We purchased this fireplace screen to keep our cats out of a gas-fired fireplace that is faced in white marble. Mission accomplished. The style is simple without being plain, providing a nice contrast against a light background. And the screen is adequately heavy to resist an occasional furry glancing thump, without being unwieldy. This screen is very nice as far as the construction and sturdiness of it. Its a good deal for a good price. However I was a little taken back by the color when I pulled it out of the box. The picture on here shows the screen as being brown. The actual screen is more copper/red than brown and the leaves are painted green on parts. It may work with what I have since Im waiting to put it up until Ive moved, or I may just spray paint it. Brown with gold flecks would be nice. Either way good deal for the quality, as painting would only take ten minutes.

Even though the screen has some rust colored red and a little bit of faint green on it it blends in so well with the colors already in my room! I ordered this to go on top of the hutch in my office. I work in an office complex where the president and vice president share office space so I was concerned that it would not look realistic. It turned out to be much better than I expected. It is a large, full plant that covers probably a third of the top of the hutch. It looks real. We have a large volume of traffic in and out of our compex and many people have complimented me on how it looks. It really adds a lot of color and depth to the space. It was packed in a large box and was held down to the box with plastic tie downs that worked very well and kept the plant in place through all the shipping. I received it really quickly. The price was reasonable as most I found on the web were over $100. I was very pleased with the entire process. I would highly recommend this company and this product.

I just got this plant in the mail today and am very impressed with the quality and and color. The color is not as dark and drab as it appears online. It's much more vibrant in person with a few lighter tones on some of the leaves making it look very natural from afar. It is fuller and larger than I expected (measurements are hard to visualize). I wish I could post a picture because I feel like that would be helpful for others. I have mine on top of a basic 5 shelf tall bookcase and it pretty much takes up 3/4 of the top with enough room to put some other decorative piece next to it. The hanging trailers are perfect because I wanted to see just plant, not the planter, and this is the case from the front. From the sides and the back you do see some of the planter but the planter is beautiful as well. It's a dark woven wood looking rectangular basket which you can tell by zooming in on the photo.

The fireplace screen pictured online shows very defined decorative scrollwork. This actual feature is on the backside of the frame with a dark screen overlaid in front of it. This almost hides all of the design, especially when placed in front of my fireplace with a surround of black granite. I would return the screen but it is very large and heavy and I don't want to pay for the postage involved. Guess I'll have to learn to live with it even though it is not what I expected.

Sadly, my fireplace was shipped without a piece, the bracket to hold the glass panel in. The panel still fits snug, and until I get the piece from Customer Service, it seems to stay in place fine anyway. The flame effect is surprisingly,very good. I did not expect it to be as life-like as it turns out. The heater is very quiet, and actually warms both my living room and dining room, an area approximately 30 x 15, to a comfortable degree. I agree with the poster above that a separate setting for the thermostat and flame would have been great. Also, since it is RF, it doesn't work with my Harmony One remote, but the remote is small and only has an "on" and an "off" button. One strange thing, I looked on the Dimplex site, and can not find this model. Even if it was a closeout, shouldn't they still list the model?

I received this last evening. It arrived in two large boxes and required assembly. It is the assembly instructions that prevent me from giving the fireplace 5 stars. While the mantle/hearth was relatively intuitive, the fireplace connections to the hearth were separate and not as simple as they could have been. There is little good instruction regarding the installation of the glass front (which was pristine upon arrival).

Now to the good: Wow! The fireplace, both wood and fake fire are top quality when compared to others I've seen in big box retailers and it was considerably less money.

The remote turns on and off the unit only which makes good sense to me. The only reason I would have to adjust the thermostat would be if I were to move the fireplace to a different room. The thermostat is easily adjustable and the flame and heat can be controlled separately. The noise made from the unit is less than the space heater I'd been using in the basement and is certainly far more attractive.

I'm very pleased with the quality, fit, finish and look of this unit and I expect to enjoy it for years to come.

UPDATE: I've had this heater for almost two years now (12/12)and while I will admit that the heater has gotten a bit noisier, it's still more quiet than most other free-standing heaters. The flame and all other components are as good as the day I put it together. It heats well and the flames are as vibrant as ever.

Still Recommended!
