For the price, this is a very nice mantle:

* Well built, the joints and molding are nailed and glued together.

* It is almost all medium-density fiberboard (MDF) with a very thin wood veneer. I do not recommend staining, paint is more appropriate since the corners and puttied areas may not show well through stain.

* Looks great once it is painted.

Bottom line for the money this is a great value. I could not have one made locally of similar quality for this price.

The reason I got this fireplace was because it looks pretty good. We just had a spa set up in the basement. So we thought it may be a good display. Plus, the price is very good. So we decided to get one. The heater looks GREAT and fits right in our spa. And it is very warm. It does heat up the whole room. Our basement is approximately 400 square feet. And this little thing does its job. I ended up buying another two more. Now, I have two in the spa and one in our entertainment room. I highly highly recommend it. I am very very happy with this product. It looks elegant. And it is very sturdy. You can put miscellaneous items on it because the top is not hot. I only put a plant on it to keep the simple look. The top is not hot at all because heat comes out from the bottom. Trust me, I don't usually write reviews, but this is one of the best products I have ever purchased. One thing is I see this product in BJs at a lower price. The model # at BJs is a little different. The one from Amazon is DFS-550-0. The one from BJs is DFS-550-22. They sell it for $85. I tried to find this DFS-550-22 on-line, but not able to find it. So I THINK it may be discontinued already. So, whoever is interested in a fireplace, you may want to also check out the one in BJs. Not sure whether they are the same or not.

Performance: Heats a 350 sq/ft, 3 room travel trailer in about an hour. The thermostat is excellent and functions like a furnace. The fan is a very quiet hum. We left it running for 8 hours straight; the top was warm, but the rest of the unit stays cool. Only the grate in front of the heating element gets hot. When it reaches the desired temperature, it makes a series of clicking noises, and then the heating element (red light) shuts off followed by the fan. The remote control works great.

Appearance: It is an attractive design, mostly metal, with some plastic. There are 5 flame brightness options. At the highest setting the flames look very cheesy, but we enjoy the warm glow at a 2 or 3 level. The digital function display only lights up when you are powering the unit on, or adjusting a setting.

Cons: The metal frame is thin. The 'stove lid' above the heater causes a rattling sound. We added a little weight with a faux candle holder and river rock display, and that helps the noise. The rattling isn't bothersome with the tv on, but is a little distracting while reading.

Best Fireplace Blower for Heat N Glow GFK-160A, 7002-1241, Royal GFK-160 Deals

The blower and controls for a Heat n Glo fireplace is $240 + $17 tax from the local fireplace store. They came down to $170 + tax but wouldn't move close to the Amazon price. I went with Amazon, placing the order on a Tuesday afternoon and receiving the product on Thursday. Surprisingly excellent service.

The blower appears well constructed and substantial. I adjusted the fan to a medium speed, fast enough to move air and slow enough to be silent.

The 'five minute installation' took me about 90 minutes because I had to drive to the fireplace store and ask, "Huh!?"

The following are intended to be helpful instructions:

*****Warning: Kill Power before doing any wiring. Call an electrician if you aren't handy. Electricity kills. ******

*****Warning: The following is considered "OPINION". It is not expert advice. ******

*****Warning: I am not an electrician. I am not a fireplace installer. I am not a fireplace fan expert. ******

1. Locate a bolt on the bottom side of your fireplace. The thermo switch (thermo thingy bolts to the bottom of your fireplace using a wing nut). Don't mount it upside down.

2. Locate your power junction box. Older style boxes have two wires protruding that are most likely connected to each other. Newer junction boxes have obvious connection points.

3. Test that you have power to the junction box by plugging a light or radio or ??? into the outlet labeled 'fan'. I didn't have power to the junction box. An electrician friend said, "You may have to fish for wires, or wires are probably running to an outlet nearest the fireplace and they haven't been connected." Then he asked, "Is there a switch near the fireplace that doesn't work? If so, that's probably the problem." I flipped the switch, and that was the 'fix'.

4. Mount the rheostat (speed control) on the right side of your fire place in the obvious spot where it goes. You'll need something to tighten the nut onto the plastic thingy.

5. Attach the ground wire running from the fan to metal. I attached my ground to the thermo switch plate.

6. Attach one wire from the rheostat to the thermo switch.

7. Attach one wire from the thermo switch to the one of the power junction box wires or 'clips'.

8. Attach one wire from the junction box to the rheostat.

9. Attach the cord to the fan.

10. Plug the fan into the "fan" outlet on the power junction box.

11. Slide the fan to the back of the fireplace and then move it forward about 1/4 inch per the instructions that came with the fan.

12. Power up.

13. Turn on your fireplace and wait a couple minutes for it to warm up enough to trip the thermo switch. Adjust fan speed as necessary.

I ordered my Blower and was a little skeptical since it was a universal fit for several products. If looked just like the one in the Heat and Glo manual so I went for it. I did my homework before ordering and noticed that several people had complained about the installation instructions so I spent some time reading the Heat and Glo installation procedures while I waited for deliver. Once my unit arrived, I noticed their instructions were the same as the one in my Heat and glow manual.

My fireplace had the correct junction box so it took me about 30 minutes form start to finish for installation. Basically, it was hook the wires up according to the schematic, slide the unit in place and I was done.

Tip:

While you are waiting for your unit to arrive study your owner's manual, look at your unit and familiarize yourself with your fireplace and its electrical connections. Determine where you will place the unit, the sensor, and control knob. My units already had locations set up for these items.

The product works well, and is easy to install, provided you can figure out how to do it. The instructions are absolutely terrible and only leave you confused. I had to do my own research and rely on my knowledge of electrical circuits to complete the job. The instructions could really benefit from a picture or two, and some better labeling of parts.

My family has a gas fireplace that emitted no heat, it all went up the chimney. We ordered this fan to remedy that. It works well, turning on automatically at a certain temperature and shuts off automatically after you shut off the fireplace and it has internally cooled. It is 'whisper' quiet when set low but you can definitely hear it when set high. For our needs the low setting has been more than adequate and we can definitely recommend the fan. I should note that when we received the fan, the motor did not work. We called the company and they overnighted a new unit and sent a prepaid box to send the old unit back. Excellent customer service!

I did quite a bit of research before buying an electric fireplace. I decided the best look for my home would be a cherry, corner unit, and firmly believed that any fire box smaller than 26" wouldn't cut it. This Dimplex unit fit the bill exactly. It was packed and delivered with care. The cherry finish matches the photo exactly, and the fire box is a perfect size with realistic logs and flames. Another positive is that the heater motor is very quiet, and my 46" flat panel TV sits perfectly on top. Now, there are 2 important negatives. Even though it was easy to set up, the entire unit is wobbly unless you anchor it to the wall, and I also believe that all the top end fireplaces I viewed, including the Dimplex I purchased, were over-priced by as much as $400.00. That said, I'm still happy with my fireplace. It looks great.

I bought this for my master bedroom and put a 37" TV on it. Its the perfect height and size. It has precense in the room and is the right size for the TV. In addition its great to use in the winter to heat up the master for those mornings you don't want to get out of bed. I also use it in the summer without the heat just for the ambiance the fire creates. The design is simple and beautiful. Its a very clean look and has held up great over the past year. It is wobbly free-standing, but when pushed into the corner it doesn't really move.

What it is: free-standing fireplace screen with iron-work. It is designed to keep the fire in the fireplace and protect what's outside from sparks, etc.

I have a small/medium fireplace with gas log lighter. It has the traditional chain-mail screen in front, which I I did not think was big enough to keep sparks down / keep the dog from getting too close to the fire. This screen is long enough and tall enough to keep the dog well away from the fire and provide complete coverage of the fireplace.

It seems well made, heavy duty, stands on it's own well, and looks fairly nice and simple.

Cheap Ignis Ethanol Burner Insert "EB-1200"

I've been burning liquid ethanol for over two years. It is simple, clean burning, can be placed anywhere without external venting, and requires no cleanup.

Last december, I decided to buy a second ethanol fireplace. My problem was, the fireplace I wanted ran on gel fuel. I purchased the fireplace anyway and found online a conversion kit from gel to ethanol. Unfortunately, I soon discovered, the flame was not controlable and I burned 5 times more ethanol, than in my other fireplace that had a burner like this one. The new fireplace though, had plenty of room to mount an ethanol burner insert. However, the average price for the inserts in most cases were higher priced than buying a whole fireplace with insert.

Just when I was ready to actually purchace another fireplace to get an insert, the EB-1200 became available on amazon. I ordered it, it arrived within 2 days, well packed and most importantly, well designed and built. The insert fit perfectly in the stove, and the sliding damper allows you to adjust or extinguish the flames easily.

I do want to note, unlike many burner inserts this one is not "sealed" There are air passages that improves the burning and lighting of the burner around the top seam. If you remove the insert to fill it, remember not to over fill, slosh the burner when you put it back. A full burner, with the damper closed about 1/4 of the opening, runs between 6-7 hours on my 225 sq ft office. It will bring the room from 60 degrees F to 71 degrees F in about an hour and a half or less.

Overall, happy with the product and very easy to put together. Just make sure you look at the dimensions very closely. This is a much smaller table than I had expected. It is very low to the ground and the space between the two shelves is not as deep as it appears in the picture. We purchased the table for the purpose of Legos. I had expected to be able to place several Lego Friend buildings/houses on the bottom shelf and use the top shelf for building. Most of the Lego buildings fit on the bottom shelf, but barely and there just isn't enough room to "play" with them easily.

I am surprised this is advertised as a coffee table. I cannot imagine such a low to ground, small table working as a true coffee table in front of a regular sized couch.

Just check the dimensions before you purchase.

Again, it was super easy to put together. It arrived very quickly. I am considering purchasing another Furinno table for more Legos.

We live in an apartment and purchased this fireplace for our living room. We love it. It adds a warmth and coziness to the room and is perfect for small spaces. We purchase the fuel online at Wayfair which is cheaper than anywhere else we found and it is delivered to our door. The fuel is easy to fill and lasts about 4 hours. 19" 2 Hose Midnight Hookah Aficionado Review

Hookah came with everything it said it would, and it was completely intact. Smokes great, except for one minor flaw-the rubber grommets between the bowl, stem, and vase are not very high quality. Both wore out quickly, even with daily cleaning.

The bowl, also, is one of the smaller types, so even though there are two hose ports, it really would only be enjoyable for solo use. It would be smoked down too quickly if there were two people using it.

I would recommend this as a personal hookah pretty highly, maybe as a travel hookah if you're considering getting more than one.

(As for the soex shisha itself, it has a pretty good flavour and produces a pretty light smoke. Haven't tried mixing it with others yet, but I'm hoping it will blend nicely.)

If I could I would give this 3.5 stars but sadly thats not an option. I got this hookah because it was cheap and I wasn't sure how much I would like them so I didn't want to drop $200 for good one. Which isn't to say this hookah isn't good, its just not great. There are a bunch of small issues, the seal didn't fit right so I had to replace it at a hookah shop, it leaks a little smoke around the hose fixtures, but none of that keeps it from working. If you, like me, are looking to buy your first hookah to see just how into it you wanna get, then look no further. It's a great starting point.

This Hookah is a great starter set. The only thing I recommend is making your own screen out of aluminum foil for the charcoal because the one it comes with lets in too much air and you have a hard time getting the hookah to create smoke.

I bought this tv cart based on its functionality and the Home Source name( I have a Home Source computer desk and a hutch which are the best I've ever owned and very solidly built too). It was easy to build but its not constructed solidly; it over-uses the wooden dowel connectors and lacks the locking screw connectors...in short it sort of wobbles...but since its not meant to move it works for me but this is not an endorsement. Its been said that the cd/dvd holders are too small, I dont know it wasn't a need for me. The adjustable shelf is among the worst I've owned; the holes meant to hold the metal supports are too wide and with the wobbling it fell twice while positioning the cart.

The product arrived on time. When I opened the box and started assembling the particle board pieces, a few of them were cracked. The instructions for assembly are only good for people who assemble furniture often. There is basically zero instruction. Once I completed the assembly, I noticed that the two spaces for DVD/CD's were too narrow and there is no room to slide the cases into the built-in plastic shelves. Therefore, nothing can be stored horizontally. This was not architectured properly and I would return it if it was worth my time. Putting it together wasted enough time. I will be getting rid of it on the curb and taking a $90 loss.

Really like the quality of this TV stand and it is exactly what I needed. The directions where a little difficult and although I assembled it by myself, a friend would have helped...a two-person job. Once together though, it is great. Came well-packed and no damage which is sometimes a problem with something this heavy.
