I don't like putting holes in my dry walls as much as I can. These picture hanging hooks with Command strips work great IF and only IF you follow all the instructions. In particular, the mounting surfaces (both wall and and hook) must be clean and dust-free before installation. Also, it is tempting to hang your pictures soon after installing the hooks, but you really should wait at least an hour for the adhesive to 'cure' before the hook can take its stated load.

It's been more than a month since I've used them and so far, none of them have failed me. Great product!

I've used several 3M products. I usually don't have problems. The picture hanging strips with velcro are awesome. These, however, are just the plain 3M sticky strip. This means you have to know EXACTLY where the teeth are on the back of your frame, and be sure that the strips' hangers are EXACTLY level on the first try. There aren't any second chances. I went through 2 extra strips before getting my second hook in the right place. The velcro would've been better, but I don't think they do that on the sawtooth hangers.

Yes, I did the prep correctly (rubbing alcohol and everything!) Yes, I waited the correct amount of time. No, I didn't overweight the hooks OR strips.

I have now had 3 sets of the hooks and 1 set of the strips completely fail on me, to the tune of 3 drywall patches, a very banged-up print mounted on foamcore, a couple of dinged frames, one completely destroyed frame, and a huge chunk of 100+ year wooden baseboard. It's happened on drywall and plaster, on interior and exterior walls, in winter and now in summer. I'm so frustrated I could spit.

THESE STUPID STRIPS ARE NOTHING BUT A RECIPE FOR MISERY. Some fail overnight. Some wait weeks or months to fail. It's not worth it. It's far easier to spackel and fix a nailhole than it is 1-2 3/4-1" drywall paper chunks out of my walls.

I'm so ticked off. I used a couple of these with some success and then ordered a ton of them from Amazon. Now they are all failing left and right.

Now I read other reviews that say that these don't work well with Behr paint. I don't know if it's Behr or if it's the Primer-and-Paint-in-One thing, but looking back the only time these have worked (the first two I bought) were on walls painted with regular paint. All of the other failures have been on the paint-and-primer walls.

If this is really the case, I'm even more frustrated than I was before.

Love them!!!! They work great and can allow me to hang pics without feeling committed to damage my walls with a hole if I don't like where it is. However, you must follow the directions--as in hold the tape down for 30 seconds and then wait an hour. If you

don't follow the directions, your pics will fall down. I did it a few times without following the instructions and the tape did fail--but then when I did all the steps, everything stayed and works great!

This is one of the worst products I've ever used.I've just renovated my whole house and didn't want to mark my newly painted walls. I have several pieces of old, much loved art which I've never been able to display. I used Command hooks for wire hanging as well as sawtooth hangers. I applied them exactly as instructed. The pictures hung for all of two weeks and all fell off the wall. None was over the weight limit for the product. Fortunately, none was damaged. Apparently this is one of those instances of "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is". Never again will I use anything but nail on hooks.

saves a lot of burns loading the wood stove. Enough leverage to hold log on end. Only one nit: the rivet for the pivot will break. I replaced mine with a 5 mm stainless bolt, washers, and nyloc nut and did the same for the others before I gave them away.

I was looking for an alternative to an expensive gas fireplace insert, and thought this looked like a good option. I first saw it on Amazon, but when I saw a display model in another store I was convinced. I bought on Amazon since they actually had it in stock, whereas you will have to special order other places. This fireplace is well-built; the gauge of the steel is very thick and the doors opened and closed flawlessly without adjustments (there are instructions for how to adjust the doors).

Installation was super easy. You really can install without any tools if you don't use the riser bar, which is a 2" bar that makes the fireplace a bit taller depending on the size of your fireplace. Even that only required a screwdriver and pliers. It is basically attached by clamping to the steel beam that is standard on the inside of a masonry fireplace. The only part of the installation I didn't like was adding the fiberglass insulation, which I did outside to avoid making a mess.

I've used this about 10 times since I've owned it and have been very happy. It really cleans up the room since we don't have to looked at a sooty fireplace when the glass doors are closed. I already bought another one for my other fireplace.

One more note; you have to leave the glass doors open when there is a fire. I think this is true with most fireplaces, but the image is misleading. The doors open 180 degrees so you get a full view of the fire.

These doors look really great and helped keep the "fireplace" smell out of my house. One bit of advice, I could have ordered a medium or large based on the measurements. I ordered a medium but wish I would have ordered a large. If your measurements suggest that you could use one of two sizes, go with the larger size. Fiberglass insulation runs around the interior trim and is only held in place if there are bricks behind the trim. While the medium covered the fireplace opening, the fiberglass would not stay in place because there was no overlap between the brick facade and the door trim.

We are so happy with this fireplace screen. We have a vintage home which we have remodeled and kept our original brick fireplace. It was just too pretty to replace, but the opening was an eye sore. We purchased the Hearth Glass Firescreen and we have gotten so many compliments on it. We have people say, "oh you even replaced your fireplace" and then we have to explain. I'm giving this 2 stars because one of the screen doors was slightly defective. The screen had a 'dent' in it, meaning the screen was improperly sized when it was assembled. I can pop it back and forth one way or the other. It is very subtle because it is black and the room isn't overly bright but it is definitely noticeable. The other screen door is perfect. This isn't the result of a shipping issue, the packaging and delivery was perfect. Other than this complaint, it is well constructed and would have received 5 stars.

We are really pleased with our fireplace. It looks great in our living room. We live in a small townhouse, and the fireplace keeps the living room toasty. The heat output begins immediately to move the ceiling fan on it's own, as the heat rises. The furnace now rarely runs. The bedrooms are cool, which is how we like it. We live in South Carolina, so winter nights are cool but not frigid. Our electric bill (furnace is an electric heat exchanger) was less than expected last month. Will continue to evaluate this as the winter progresses. So far, very happy with this purchase.

If you buy a Dimplex product, cross your fingers that nothing breaks because if you have to call their customer service/technical support you are in for wild ride. It will take you about 2 hours on hold to get through to a live rep (who has that luxury??). They'll tell you it's their "busy season" meaning it's wintertime (duh!)

Now, if you're lucky enough to actually get through to a live rep, cross your fingers again that your problem wont require them sending out a rep to fix it, because you will be told to expect a call in one-to-two-days to set up an appointment (they wont give you the number to call yourself, you must wait for the call). But then the call doesn't come and you realize that your only recourse is to call Dimplex. Now your back to going on hold for two hours again.

The good news though is that if your fireplace breaks down in the middle of summer when you don't use it, you'll be able to get right through to one of their reps.

I love my fireplace, it is beautifully made and keeps my living room warm. My heat is in the ceiling so it always seemed cool. Now in the evening I turn the furnace way down and the fireplace keeps the room very comfortable. I highly recommend it. It was very easy for my son and daughter in law to put together, maybe took 1/2 hour and it is beautiful.

I was looking for something functional that didn't cost a bundle and this fit the bill perfectly. The material feel like tough tarp and is slightly oversized so if you stack the logs a little higher than the rack, this will still cover it just fine. It could probably use some flattening out as it is packaged folded small and tight but the lines don't bother me. It's a log rack cover sitting in a corner under the deck in the backyard. I don't need it to be pretty. If you plan on having this in a prominently visible area, you might want to get something that has better visual appeal. Just be prepared to pay though. I searched quite a bit and discovered that a lot of covers cost more than the rack.

This is a good rack to store firewood on a hard surface such as concrete or brick. I would not recommend for the yard or mulch. After assembly the rack fell over twice. After the first itme we placed 2x4's under the legs for support but it only fell over again. It holds all the wood but if it falls over that defeats the purpose.

For the price, this cover will work. Several of the velcro strips didn't match up to keep it closed. If it's still on my wood pile at my cottage when I go back, I'm going to have to fix that or I'm afraid the wind will get hold of it. The size is generous and it fits well but doesn't close very well.

The product description says "On-demand heat with thermostat control". It has a switch for high and low heat but no thermostat other than according to the manual if it overheats it will turn the heater off and wont come back one without being reset by switching off and on again. So this was disappointing and the product description should really be revised.

When I first turned it on it made a clunk clunk noise so I turned it off and took off the back panel and found the thing that rotates had fallen out of one of it's mounts. It was easy to put back in the mount and after that it works fine and quiet.

It's nice and small so can be moved from room to room.

Flames look pretty good and heater also seems effective for a small room.

This is a great little heater and the price is right. I use it with a programmable thermostatic plug and have it programmed to turn on about an hour before I get up, so my living room is nice and toasty when I sit down to have my coffee and read the paper, without having to heat the entire house that early. I bought the Dimplex because I all ready own a larger model, that is five years old,and has worked great from the start. It was $99.00 back then. I wanted to buy another one, but then all of a sudden the prices went crazy, a similar Dimplex to the orignal one was going for $300. So in the mean time I bought a small Duraflame model.Big dissappointment. Sounded like a hair dryer when you turned on the heat and the flame motor by itself was noisy. I immediately wanted the quiet flame and heater of a Dimplex model.

This Dimplex compact model is a good size for this 130 year old farmhouse.I all ready tested the flame and heat, no noise at all.So now I have two Dimplex models. Both are centerpieces, one for the living room and one for the family room.

Ordered this stove, came quickly and were very happy with it. It was just what we wanted for our RV......a gentle heat with a great "real" fire effect for those cold nights. Sadly, after a month, the light quit on us. I asked Amazon for another bulb but they said they couldn't do that, only exchange the stove. So thats what we did. Another came quickly and all was perfect again. Until, after 2 months the blower motor quit on us! Very unhappy with the product now. Amazon was very generous with us and refunded about 80% of my money since it was past a month's guarantee, I so wish this stove was better made! It was perfect for so short a time!! I was skeptical about this heater when I bought it. Usually really good heaters have to look more utilitarian, industrial and not so compactly designed. This little heater is a powerhouse. I used it on low for the first few weeks I had it; barely raised the electric bill two dollars. The cat sits right at the vent; I suppose missing the fireplace at our last house. Then I discovered the high button, flipped that and WHOA doggie, more like a furnace than a space heater. I enjoy this heater so much, I hesitate to mention a drawback, but for those of you with flexibility issues, the on/off/high/low buttons are located waa-ay down at the bottom on the right side. It's very sturdy, self-contained, child safe [nothing to open, nothing loose], cat/dog safe QUIET heater. I love it!
