Cheap The Ember Extractor "For Stoves 16" inches or Greater"
I resarched this on Amazon and was able to find it at my local fireplace shop. I love my Napoleon fireplace insert and usually burn it around the clock, however this requires cleaning out the ashes about once a week. Typically I have to let the fireplace cool down for two days before I can empty the ashes without making a mess. This tool lets me separate the hot coals from the ash so it burns out faster. It works well, though it not sized quite right for my unit. As long as the welds hold up I think I'll be happy with it.Well designed and well built. It is useful in my wood stove fireplace insert which sadly (like most new ones) does not have an ash grate.

Birch Bundle of Logs Reviews
I was renting a house with a fake fireplace and the "firebox" was so shallow I didn't know what to put in there. I saw an ad in a home magazine and it had birch logs placed vertically leaning against the back wall of the fireplace in the shape of a teepee. So I was on a search for birch logs and I have to say I was surprised at the price, I thought they'd be a lot cheaper, but this was the best price I could find. I love these logs. They look clean, fresh and modern in my fireplace, which I do not use for burning. I wish the logs were a bit bigger around, though. I bought ten logs. They are pricey and the shipping is expensive but they are heavy and the logs are real. I had wanted birch logs for a long time and decided they didn't cost any more than other home accessories. We took a chance ordering this online, having never seen it "in person".
My husband had no trouble putting it together and it looks very nice installed.
Quality seems quite nice. The glass doors open like cabinet doors and the screen doors also open like cabinet doors.
(On our old brass fireplace doors, you had to push the screen back on a track and it was never a smooth operation.
They gathered on the track, much like a curtain, and collected dust. Just nasty.)
The screens on this door set are very nice.
Our style is more traditional and this fits in nicely without looking dated.

I installed this door on my fireplace last weekend and have been extremely satisfied with my purchase. The exterior face and hearth of my fireplace has black/white swirled marble so I was looking for something other then the typical bright brass doors. After looking around for awhile I came upon this on Amazon and took a chance since the price was about half of what I expected to pay. The doors installed very easy (took me about a hour) and it absolutely tranformed the look of the fireplace. Prior to installing these doors we had just a fire screen so I was always very reluctant to use the fireplace due to a concern for losing warm air all night with the flue left open. After installing these doors I was able to close up the fireplace (once the fire died down)and not be nearly as concerned with wasting money up the chimney. We only use the fireplace for aestetics (verses home heating) so these fireplace doors made my fireplace much more functional and the doors look great. The quality of material was reasonably good as well. Doors and glass hange straight and have a solid feel. One installation tip is to use some of the fiberglass insulation that comes with the doors to help seal around the outer edges of the screen to get a good tight fit against the front face of the fireplace. I tucked this in with a butter knife so nothing shows. It would have been helpful if the manufacturer provided an extra quantity of insulation for this purpose. It mentions in the instructions that more fiberglass "can be purchased at your local hardware store" REALLY? A few pennies more of extra fiberglass would have been helpful. I really like the Pleasant Hearth doors for our fireplace. Easy installation and looks nice. Good quality for price however when you read warning to NOT BURN WITH DOORS CLOSED you had better heed the warning. I read the pros and cons on open and closed door burning and the reason we bought doors was to slow down the burning process which it did.......for one whole afternoon. That evening with a medium/small fire going we heard a small explosion in the living room and came in to see one of the doors had exploded onto the hearth into small pieces. So the glass is not heat proof. This Fireplace enclosure is excellent. It's installed & we have a fire going now(12/8/11-10:30pm). It's been going since about 7pm. He keeps saying "I love em". He rarely has anything good to say. If anything goes wrong or they don't hold up I'll let you know. I priced similardoors at the local Fireplace store @ $799.00 so I really feel good about these. They look beautiful too!

I can find no evidence that this product contains citronella, except on the vendor listing. Nothing on the labels indicates citronella. This "citronella" oil is labeled Vegetable In&Outdoor Lamp Oil (Aristo). It has another label covering this saying Bio Lamp Oil (Blindkilde), with a sticker saying "Relabeled for Amazon.com US". So, where's the citronella?
Smells and burns the same as the Outdoor Vegetable Lamp Oil (Agowa) I'm already using. This seems just as good (hence the 4 stars), and just as expensive, for use in Danish Elipse Outdoor Garden Torches, which burn with a large smokeless flame.
It does evaporate if you leave it in the lamp, especially outdoors in the sun, so I store the lamps in the garage and put stretch wrap over the top before putting lid on (after cooling).

We like it and use it with Good Directions 206CH medium Oil Table Lamp with snuffer cap (also available on Amazon). We use each time we dine outdoor along with other citronella derived products (candles, oil). We are barely bothered by mosquitoes.

When I was a boy in the 1950's, my parents bought a toast tite which my sister and I loved. My mother gave it to me when I moved out on my own. When I had a son and daughter, they enjoyed making "flying saucer" sandwiches as they grew up and, after they graduated college and left the area to work, a must on their visits home was to make "flying saucer" sandwiches. I wanted to let everyone know that I use the old toastite units a lot. I have purchased over a dozen of the new version and they are GREAT!! I am using the new and old and you can not tell the difference in the way that they work. In reference to the person that reviewed with a 1...a lot of the old ones are aluminum. They seem like solid steel but they are not. They had some that were made of thin steel but the aluminum ones are better. I would buy this new product many times. I originally avoided purchasing the optional blower with my wood stove because the factory model ran more than $100 I figured there were cheaper options online. After several years of looking, there finally are a Chinese factory is knocking out aftermarket fans at about half that price. Unfortunately, that's about all they're worth.
Pros: Installation was a snap (holes lined up reasonably well with the factory holes in the stove).
Cons: Noisy and does a mediocre-at-best job of moving air (air flow is barely noticeable).
Before this, I had a white trash solution of a box fan blowing on the wood stove it was quieter and much more effective. I may have to go back to that route.
As long as you maintain the stove temp it does a good job heatinging the room.

Sure Heat Sure Heat Vented Gas Log Set Reviews
Like others have said, it is a great set for the price and does the job. The glowing ember material at the bottom is pretty. Overall, very happy. It doesn't put out too much heat, as it's all going up the chimney, but I got it for looks, so not a problem. Just beware if you think you're going to get heat out of this.
Pros: easy to setup, looks good, the 'steel wool' glowing ember stuff really does glow like embers and looks great. They provide way more ember and sand than needed. I will be filling the rest of my large double-sided fireplace with small rocks.
Cons: when on full (meaning I turn the gas valve all the way on) the gas hissing sound is really loud. Also, the photo shows flames coming all through the logs and such. At least on mine, most of the flames go up from behind the set, not in the middle. Not a big deal and it could just be my set. Also, the way it's designed is pretty much for one-sided fireplaces. The back side of this log set doesn't look as nice as the front when lit. I didn't lower the grade b/c of this, just as an FYI if you have a double sided fireplace like mine.
One of the logs was broken, the one that lays on the ground in the front, but not a big deal. I just put it there anyway pushed together and you can't tell.
**For those new to installation like me, this is a match-lit fireplace with no gas control valve at all. So, as you run your gas line to the fireplace, make sure to put your on/off gas valve near so that you can raise and lower the flames. I mean at 70,000 BTU this thing will eat up gas on full!

I ordered this set to finally complete my fireplace and have something going while I hosted a Christmas party. Some of the logs were broken, but not badly enough to not use. There were actually way more logs than I needed, so I have half of them sitting in my garage! Installation was easy and the instructions for hooking it up were easy to follow. That steel ember stuff that it comes with looks great! unlike other reviews, all pieces were delivered in perfect condition. All items to install, except adjustable wrench, were included. Bending the gas supply line can be tricky, but filling with sand helps prevent kinking. Consider changing the angle of your fireplace's inlet (adding 90* or 45* elbow) to simplify the necessary bending of the gas line. Saw the same log set in the local retail fireplace store for $399! ($699 installed!) Would likely take an experienced person an hour to install. Also very important to have damper all the way open or you will get fumes. My wife wanted to cuddle in front of the fireplace as soon as I finished installing!!

This carrier lives up to its promise: it is capacious, sturdy, and keeps melted snow off the floor. Also handsome, it looks nice on the hearth. The one thing to consider is that it tempts you to overestimate your lifting capabilities. When filled it is quite heavy. The price is right, too!

This was a Christmas gift for my husband. He liked the concept. Kept a lot of dirt off the hearth. However, after six weeks it started getting holes in the bottom. We take the bag to the wood pile, load it, and bring it back where it is placed on the hearth. There is no heavy duty wear and tear. There is minimal rubbing on the bottom. On a recent camping trip I lost a flat carrier with handles. I loved it, except for the mess it made when carrying wood into the house. Because this one had enclosed sides, I ordered it and received it the next day (always great shipping from Amazon!) While the material is not as sturdy as the one I lost, I believe this one will last for quite a few years. I LOVE that the mess stays contained in the carrier. I got this product for a vacation rental my husband and I are renting out in Teton Village Wyoming. It's a great product. Carries a lot of wood and seems like it will hold up over time.I wanted a carrier with sides so that woodchips would not fall out all over the condo and this works perfectly.
